Kevin didn't take the gift from her hand, ignoring her downright. This woman was so fake.
"Kevin, Miss Fox is talking to you. It's not polite to ignore people," Chase warned.
Kevin rolled his eyes, ignoring his dad's warning as well.
"Chase… Don't be harsh with him. Kev is just a kid. I'll put the set here. He can play with them when he comes back. We need to go to the kindergarten now."
Holding out her hand, Susan attempted to take Kevin's hand. But the boy walked out of the building alone without even casting a look at her.
Susan acted she didn't mind it at all. She smiled awkwardly and followed Kevin's steps.
…
In the car, the smile on Susan's face was vicious, "Say whatever you like to your dad. It won't work anyway. Your dad knows you're just a rude brat. He won't blame me for anything. Do you really think I want to see your face every day?"
"If you don't want to see my face, then maybe you shouldn't have told Dad that you want to send me to school every day!"
This woman was such a hypocrite.
Kevin refused to look at her.
"Humph… Don't worry. I'll be so nice to you when I become your stepmother."
Kevin only cast her a cold stare. He would teach this witch a lesson sooner or later.
…
When Kevin walked into the school building, a couple of kids tried to make fun of him, "Is this all you're capable of? You can't win a fight so you cry for your mama."
"What a coward!"
Kevin threw his bag onto the desk, "Then who wants to fight me one-on-one? I'm not afraid."
"We won't fight you. Or you're gonna call your mom again."
"That's right. You're a wuss puss. And your mom is a psycho!"
The last line successfully angered Kevin. No one could call her mom a psycho!
He sent his little fist onto that boy's face, but the boy managed to dodge his attack.
Other kids also started to say bad words to provoke him. Kevin chased them all the way to the teacher's office.
"Sir! Kevin's trying to hit us!"
"Yeah! He wouldn't leave us alone!"
"Sir! You need to punish him!"
"Kevin! What are you doing?" Mr. Fling bellowed.
"They said my mom was a psycho!"
"So you hit them? Hitting people is wrong!"
"Then saying bad things about other people is right?" Kevin snapped back.
"Of course, it's not right. None of you is right. All of you must be punished!" Mr. Fling pulled a face.
Other kids were quite happy about the result. Even they got punished, Kevin also got the same treatment.
Kevin's face fell. Everyone said this kindergarten was the best. But all the kids here were vicious. He wondered what did Cole's kindergarten look like.
…
After the class, all the kids played together, but they decided to isolate Kevin because Mr. Fling didn't seem to like him.
Suddenly, someone patted Kevin on his shoulder. Kevin looked up and saw Cole's smiling face, "Cole? Why are you here?"
"I sent you messages yesterday. But you didn't reply. So I just came to check you out? How is your kindergarten?"
Kevin dropped his gaze. He felt like a failure in this kindergarten. Nothing was like what he imagined.
"Hey, cheer up, bro. Why don't we swap our kindergartens? You can go to mine and play with my friends. It will be fun."
Kevin's eyes were lit up as he heard Cole's suggestion. He'd always been wondering what did Cole's kindergarten look like.
"But will they find out about us?"
"No worries. Let's switch our clothes first."
