Chapter Nineteen

Zeus and Orien led their army to the palace. By now everyone knew the war had begun. As Zeus and Orien crashed the gates, Kharis look at Kora and nodded. They were going to do everything they could to take the army out. They also knew they would be fighting to the death. They would do whatever it took to protect the realm.

They ran into battle. Kharis had her poleaxe in hand and began to swing it at every creature and follower of Zeus and Orien. One of the creatures jumped at Kharis and with one swing of her weapon, she cut his head in half. His brain fell out in 2 pieces. another creature started eating it but Kharis took his head off. Kora was on the other end.

She had her sword of death. It was rightly named. She saw a line of men going toward Kharis. Kora ran as fast as she could and with one swing she took off the heads of all five men. She then turned and ran 2 creatures through. They were killing hundreds but that was far from all of them.

Zeus and Orien saw that their life would be in danger and they fall back.

"This is far from over!"

Essence stood watching as Thana and Rose headed to join the war. She needs to stay busy and helpful so Essence went to the room where they were keeping the surviving kids that were found. She had walked in right after they were giving the kids food. She helped every child she could. Some had wounds or burns from the war.

Some were confused by the events of the day. Essence did all she could to sound positive for the kids even though she was just as scared as they were. As she helped clean things up, she noticed a girl in the corner who had not eaten anything.

"Hi, I'm Essence. What is your name sweaty?" The little girl barely spoke.

"Tamera." Essence sigh.

"How old are you?" The girl held up 7 fingers. Essence could see the tears threatening to fall from Tamera's eyes.

"Tamera, I know you have been through a lot today but if you want to talk about it, I will listen." Tamera shook her head.

"Nobody cares." That caught Essence off guard.

"Of course we care. That's why you are here." Tamera fell apart and began crying.

"If they cared then why didn't they get my family out of the basement? I tried telling the guards that but they wouldn't go back for them." Essence took the crying girl into her arms.

"Are you telling me they were alive?" Tamera nod.

"We were all going to the basement to hide but I had to go back for my doll. My mom tried to get me but the creatures came in. I hid and saw my mom, dad, and brother go down and hide." Essence stood quickly.

"Tamera, can you tell me what house is yours?" Tamera nod and gave the information.

"I am going to go find your family." Tamera hug Essence and then she ran out of the door.

Essence walks into the village and saw all of the dead people lying everywhere. The smell made her stomach turn. Essence was brought out of her thoughts by the sound of some creatures howling. She knew they must be after Tamera's family. She found the house very easily. There were about 4 creatures digging their way through the basement door and they were almost through.

Essence had to work fast. She grabbed anything she could find and then grabbed the tank of gas she found in the back of the house. She began making bombs and throwing them at the creatures. They ran from the flames but Essence knew they would be back soon.

"Luke! Please open the door. Tamera told me you are here." Luke came out of the basement with his wife and son.

"Tamera is alive?" Essence nodded while looking for the creatures.

"We thought for sure they got her."

"She is safe but we won't be if we don't leave right now. Get on my back!" Luke looked very confused until Essence turned.

They all climb in her and Essence ran as fast as she could.

Zeus and Orien were looking through the strategies again. It's been days after they first burned their way through near the royal palace. And still, they can't penetrate the Royal palace territory.

"What did we do wrong?!" Zeus asked with anger.

"Their soldier consists of woman! Why can't our man penetrates those bitches pathetic Defence!" Orien slapped his Friend face hard.

"SHUT UP! IM THINKING!" Orien focuses on the plans again.

"Those bitches you said is the best warrior in this realm." Orien slams his hand on the table.

"Does their backyard fully guarded?" Orien asked his second in command.

"Yes, your highness. Heavily guarded." Orien sits on the royal chair and smirked.

"What does a person care the most when you're with someone?" Zeus smug.

"Our mate." Orien smugly smiled.

"What if we kill those people and do you think a Defence will fall?" Zeus laughed.

"Absolutely."

"A rumor I heard, there's an underground panic room beneath the castle. They probably placed everyone in there." The general said.

"Perfect. All we have to do is kill everyone and m******e every person in that underground hideout."

"But how do we penetrate the line of Defence?" The general pointed at the edge of the Royal ground.

"This... Is where all the undead from the underworld. And I meant it by the undead. They all can't be killed. Only slow them down." The general pointed and the second phase of the defense.

"This is where b***h Kora holds shading out Attack alongside with the undead. Shes... Untouchable." Zeus scoffed.

"The third phase of Defence, Kharis hold them off using air Attack and arrows. There's also casualty where they all burn to ashes. That's witchcraft, meaning Clarissa is back." Orien clenches his fist.

"This... Is where the dragons deflect all of our air attacks. Sorry to say this sir, all of our dragons perished and captures." Orien slams his hand on the table.

"We can't do anything. Rose capture and kill everyone."

"We need to kill her," Zeus said. Orien touches his deformed arm and looked at Zeus in rage.

"I'll be happy to do that."

"Can you Orien? She decapitates your arm." Orien threw a piece of the little wooden statue at his Friend.

"Don't challenge me. I may not know how to use my one arm but my mind is smarter than all of you combine." Zeus scoffed. Suddenly a guard barged in the war room, panting.

"One of the Guards saw Essence, Thana's mate at one of the burn loyalist village with 3 people mounted on her. The army is chasing her down." Zeus abruptly stands.

"CAPTURE HER ALIVE! But... Kill her would be amazing! Dead or alive, bring her here. I'm craving for some hot pussy." The guard nod at Zeus and ran outside.

"Do you ever stop thinking about s*x?" Zeus shrugged.

"I'm a man with needs. It's the heating season. I even f**k corpse right now. Au revoir." Orien showed his face in disgust. Orien looked at his general.

"We will begin to Attack phase one of this bitches defense by sundown tomorrow. Prepare every soldier with... Silver bullet and spears and urging silver that could kill the werewolves." Orien smirk.

"And for the vampires..... Just chopped off their head or stabbed their hearts." The general nodded and Bow. Orien turns to meet the map of their invasion.

"Soon... This realm will be mine and mine alone." Orien is thinking about killing his so call friend when all of this is done. With that, he will be the ultimate and the strongest king in the realm. He smirks.

An enemy soldier saw Essence running towards the palace and try to arrow her down.

"YES!" He said when he noticed Essence was shot with his arrow. But to his surprised, Essence didn't stop running. The soldier ordered the creatures to chased her down. Essence noticed they all gaining on her and she howled to signaled at of the Royal Guards to helped her.

The creatures were close but she didn't look back. She ran them all of the ways into the hall and kicked the door closed. Some guards took care of the creatures.

"She is through there." Essence pointed as she grabbed some clothes to cover herself.

"TAMERA!" Tamera turned and saw her mother. The family hugged and cried. Essence walked into the room and Luke, Jan, Tan, and Tamera all thanked her for saving them.

"We can't even begin to thank you for what you did for us." Essence waved it off but Tamera hugged her. "Thank you for caring." Essence hugged her back.

"Any time."

"You're hurt!" Rose suddenly said behind her.

"It's fine...." Rose noticed Essence went pale. Essence fainted but Rose managed to Father her.

"s**t! THANA WILL KILL ME!" Rose lifted Essence up and ran towards a medical table. She placed Essence carefully and lifted the robe she's wearing.

"Normal arrow." Rose signed in relief. Moana walked in and gasped as she noticed its Essence.

"How?!" Rose sighed.

"She went to the burned village, swarming with enemy troops and save a family... Honey. Hold her shoulder down for me." Moana nodded and followed Rose's order.

"Sorry Essence but this will be a lot of pain," Rose said and pulled the arrow as hard as she could from Essence's legs. Essence's eyes shot opened and screamed in pain. Moana holds her Sister shoulder as hard as she could. She grabbed essences body and sit behind her as Essence rested her head on Moana's thigh.

"Shhhh... It will be okay." Essence grabbed Moana's arm and squeezed. She yelled at the pain she had to endure. Rose pour some amount of alcohol and clean the wound. Essence's breathing started to hyperventilate.

"I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION HERE!!!!" Moana scream. Immediately, a nurse came with the oxygen mask and place it to Essence.

"Honey heal her!" Moana begs her mate. Rose looked troubled as the blood won't stop flowing out. She grabbed a doctor and ask him to stop the bleeding.

"Stay here I'll get Thana." Moana nodded and hold her Sister right as Essence started to cry. Rose ran through the battlefield and grabbed Thana's back.

"DOMINIKA, hold it for us!" Dominika nod.

"What's wrong?!" Thana yells.

"You need to heal Essence wound. It's not a normal arrow. It's a cursed arrow." Thana's reactions when gloom and ran as fast as she could to the bunkers.

Thana gasps as she noticed the blood on the floor from her mate.

"I ASKED YOU TO PROTECT HER ROSE!" Thana yells her anger out. She went next to her mate and looked at the wound. The black circle begins to form around her wound, indicating the curse is doing its work. Thana didn't waste any time as she bites her mate's leg and sucks all of the blackish blood in her system.

Thana spits out the impure blood and she noticed Essence begin to breathe properly. She made sure not even a single drop of the cursed blood inside her system. She took her knife out and slice her wrist.

"Open her mouth." Moana opened her Sister's mouth and let the blood flow inside her mate's throat.

Slowly the wound begins to heal on itself. Thana lets go of her wrist and went to the wound again. She licks it and her saliva just closed the wound completely.

"Let her rest in the chamber. Stay with her. She will be needing a lot of water when she wakes up." Moana nodded. Thana turned to Rose.

"What happen?" Rose didn't get to explain when Tamera nudges Thana's side.

"I'm sorry. It's my fault she's hurt. She was rescuing my family." Tamers cried and knelt for forgiveness from Thana.

"Don't kill us. I'm sorry..." Tamera sob. Thana picked the little girl up and hugged her.

"It's fine. You're forgiven."

Thana let Tamera down and she ran towards her family.

"Protect the bunkers. I'm going back to help Dominika and Aurelia." Rose nod.

"This time, DONT LET ANYONE GET HURT!" Rose wanted to apologize but it's not her nature to be sorry. Thana walked towards the bunker's door and went back to war.

"Sephora. Is the potion ready?" Sephora nod at her Mother.

"This should reenergize the queens for hours." Clarissa nod and kiss her daughter's forehead.

"I'm proud of you Sephora. In such circumstances, you still keep a straight mind." Sephora chuckle.

"Not so straight. My mate is a woman." Clarissa smiled.

"And she's fighting in the war for you." Sephora smile shyly.

"Here." She handed the potion to her mother.

"You will be a great witch Sephora. Probably better than I am." Sephora hugs her Mother.

"Mom, no one is better than you." Clarissa pulls away.

"I'll go now. You should go back to the bunkers medical wing." Sephora nodded and Clarissa walks out towards the war camp. The guards open the door for her and smile as she watched Kharis and Kora was sitting, closing their eyes.

"Sorry. I know I'm late." Kora opened her eyes and sighed.

"Well, Clarissa..... We waited for years." Clarissa chuckle. She hands the potion to the queens. Kora chugged it all in one Ho and Kharis, the queen she is, took a little sip.

"Delicious...." Kora said and burp. Clarissa smile.

"Welcome back." Kharis greets.

"Good to be back. But the war is horrendous." Kora nod.

"We manage to hold everything off. It's the matter of time they run out of manpower." Clarissa shakes her head.

"Not really. My sources say they recruited yet another group of... Evil people." Kharis took another sip.

"What do you mean?" Clarissa walks towards the map.

"This area... They burned the top-notch prison and took every criminal the Guards caught. They all seek revenge on you two your highness."

"Great." Kharis stand. She looks at the map thoroughly.

"They burn this part of kingdom right..." Kora nod.

"They all really close to the royal palace. I'm worried they penetrate the second defense gates. They completely obliterated the first gates like as if it's nothing." Octavia suddenly walks in the war camp and sighed.

"I found something while flying here." Octavia placed a chain on the table.

"They took the Bogle!" Octavia slumped on to the chair and placed her head on the table.

"They took the Bogle!"

"I could easily kill them," Kora said. "We need backup. I can't let Thana transform into her beast. It's dangerous." Kharis said. Kora went to her Wife side.

"Honey... It could be our only hope. With Rose there, they both will be indestructible. They could easily kill them all. And the war will end." Kharis look at her Wife.

"You want my baby to risk her life and turned to a beast? Kora I gave birth to her. The pain of losing her is greater than ever!" Kora rubs Kharis's back.

"She has Essence now. Essence will know how to control her."

"Um... She's hurt. She was arrow down." Kora and Kharis look at Clarissa.

"How?!" "She went to one of the burn loyalist villages and save a family."

"How is she now?" Kora asked.

"Heal. Thana gave her something to deal with." Kharis nod.

"Honey... You know how stubborn our daughter is. She will be the beast even you say no." Kharis sigh and look away. She took her poleaxes and walk outside. Kora excused herself and went to her wife.

"Tell me what's bothering you."

"I'm angry. Worried. And disappointed. I'm angry because Zeus and Orien are attacking the kingdom." Kharis turn and face her wife.

"I'm worried because my daughter is out there, killing everyone who tries to Attack the kingdom. I'm disappointed in you for assuring me it's alright for our Daughter, TO TRANSFORM TO HER BEAST! KORA! IM THE ONE WHO CARRIED HER FOR MONTHS!" Kora catches her Wife body as she cries.

Kora never saw her Wife so... Sad before.

"Kora I don't want Essence to lose her like we did years before. What if she's back to be someone who is her purpose to kill or be killed?" Kora motioned everyone to leave them. They all bow and let the queens be.

"I won't let that happen. I promise. I will not let that happen again." She cups Kharis's face and kisses her.

"We will end this once and for all. Fight by my side and end this forsaken war like how we did before." Kharis wiped her tears and nodded.

"We will show them how Akeldama rules this kingdom with an iron fist!" Kora said. Kharis took a deep breath and let her Wife go.

"Let's go and meet Horus." Kora nod. She helped her Wife to stand and walked towards the palace. They went to the most extravagant halls they have built just for the God of the sky, war, and hunting. They both took a deep breath and open the huge gold doors.

They stop in front of an altar and knelt.

"We need help from the great Horus, the god of the sky, war, and hunting. The Son of Osiris and Iris...." Horus looked up and pointed to a vile.

"Every request required to be pay." Kora pulls out her knife and slices her wrist. Kharis did the same and they both let their blood into the vile.

"For this, I shall follow the queen's orders..." Kora stands and looks at Horus in the eyes.

"Kill my enemy with no mercy. Lead them to the underworld as feast your Father. No one should alive. Not one enemy of ours will survive." Horus bow his head a little.

"For this shall be my Mission." Kora and Kharis bow to him and turned. A huge gush of wind suddenly hit them and they could feel the generous amount of power flowing in them.

"Let's end this war!" Kora said and walked outside the palace.
