Chapter Sixteen

Kora took a deep breath and look at her daughter.

"I need you to distract it." Thana look at her Mom, speechless.

"How am I supposed to do that? Nine heads!" Kora points using her eyes to Cleon. Thana laugh.

"Mom just look at him, scared." Velorina sighed.

"We should've brought Arthur." Cleon took a deep breath.

"Aunt Kora. I can do it." Thana smile and pull out her sword from its scabbard.

"Well, boy... Let's do this." Thana and Cleon took the other way towards the hydra. Kora and Velorina changed weapon.

"All you have to do is cover me." Velorina nod. Kora felt the power of Velorina sword. She knows it too well. Suddenly the whole sword blaze in the fire.

"I am worthy after all huh." Velorina watch as her aunt swing the blazing sword around.

"I'm ready," Kora said.

"Wait here. Kill anything that attacks you." Velorina nod. Thana walk slowly towards the Hydra.

"Cleon, don't even think of sucking its blood and breathe its breath. It's poisonous." Cleon nod.

"I do have a question. How did Echidna give birth to this?" Thana chuckle.

"I have no idea... Just don't slice its head. That's mom's job." Cleon nod.

"When I whistle, you need to run towards the other way and whistle as well. All we have to do is avoid its sharp teeth and poison." Cleon nod and walk towards the other side. Thana watch as he signal his okay. Thana whistle, followed by Cleon.

"Well hello, there ugly thing," Thana said to the hydra. Thana watch each of the hydra's head turn to her. At this point, Cleon sigh in relief than none looking at him. Thana smirk.

"Thank you for your undivided attention." Two of the hydra's head Attack Thana unexpectedly. Thana manages to avoid the heads and smirked.

"Such slow creature." Little did Thana know, she just made the hydra angry. It begins to walk-run towards Thana. She notice the creature is fuming and begin to run. The hydra begins to attack her again. This time Thana run and jump to avoid the serpent's deathly jaws.

"CLEON!!!" Thana yells for her cousin for help.

Cleon begins to panic and tries to think what should he do. He was about to run towards Thana when Velorina grabs his neck and shove him back towards her.

"Aunt Kora said to stay put. She's handling it." Kora ran as fast as she could to chased her daughter. The blazing sword on her hands is begging for some blood. She could feel the power within. Thana ran towards the forest with great speed.

"MOM!!!!" She yells. Thana fell when one of the heads hit her back. Thana turn her body to meet the enemy. She crawls backward with her elbow as she watched the hydra's saliva melt the earth soil as if it's acid. Thana was ready for a pain but instead the sound of her screaming angry Mother.

"YOU DON'T TOUCH MY DAUGHTER!" Kora yells and mount on the Hydra's body. Kora didn't waste any time. She stabs the hydra in all vital parts and let the sword do its job, burning the hydra inside out. Kora jumped off the hydra and went to her daughter.

"How did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"That. I can't even spit on them." Kora laugh.

"The sword, Illythia somehow know we need it." Kora turn to the hydra.

"Too bad we can't drink its blood." Thana chuckle.

"I'm hungry too Mom." Cleon and Velorina walk towards them, in awe of what's happening.

"Remind me not to make aunt Kora angry. Ever." Velorina nod.

"You can take your sword back Velorina." Velorina went to her sword and pulled it.

"It smells like burn snake," Velorina said in disgust.

"Come on. Let's go home." Kora turned to Cleon.

"Being some ash. We need to show your Mom." Cleon nod and Kora smile.

Zeus and Orien walk into the castle. They were asked to meet with King Alfred's for dinner. Zeus and Orien were thrilled. The King wanted to talk about the village they raided but Zeus had other plans for the evening.

"Ahh, Zeus and Orien." Zeus and Orien bow as the king walks into the room.

"It’s an honor to be here tonight Your majesty." The king waved it off.

"Please call me Alfred. Shall we eat?" They sat talking for a while about territory and about the new land the king has taken over. Zeus was bored but for his plan to work, he had to be patient. Orien, on the other hand, was very curious to know what will soon be theirs.

"So let's go to my office and discuss a few things." Zeus and Orien followed King Alfred. Alfred walk into a private chamber. Alfred walk right over to pour a drink.

"Would you men like a drink?" They didn't answer. Orien had Alfred by the head now controlling him. " You are going to give us all of your power. Everything you own, we want." Orien had Alfred facing Zeus now. Alfred may be one of the scumbag vampires but he couldn't stand up to Zeus and Orien. Orien was reading his mind.

"He won't give us what we want. Should we make him watch as we kill his family and take over anyway?" Orien said as he held Alfred's shoulders. Zeus walk over to King Alfred and snaps his neck. His head was turn completely the wrong way. Orien was now looking into Alfred's dead eyes.

"You could have warned me you were about to kill him."

"No time for that. Come and bring his head with you. We need to show everyone you are the new king now." Orien took Alfred's head in hand and rips his head off his shoulders. His spine were pull out of his body along with the head. Outside the chamber stood the man who only served Alfred. When he saw Alfred's head in Orien's hand, he lowered his head in a bow.

"See Orien? These people are very willing to serve us by only seeing this head we took." Orien threw his head back in a laugh that could only be described as insane. Zeus turned to the servant.

"Gather everyone in the grand hall. Including the wife, son, and daughter of Alfred. Oh and let's keep the king's death a surprise." The man quickly ran out and sounded a bell that signaled for the gathering. When they were all there, Zeus and Orien walk in.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!" The Queen said as she approached the two.

"Mackenzie!" Zeus said with a smile.

"QUEEN Makenzie to you." Zeus smirks.

"Oh, Mackenzie. You are in for a surprise."

"I AM YOUR QUEEN AND YOU WILL SPEAK TO ME WITH RESPECT!" Mackenzie shouts. Zeus nod at Orien and Orien Threw Alfred's head at Makenzie. Her reflexes caused her to catch her husband's head. She looks at it and scream. She let go of the head as quickly as she caught it. She ran to her son and daughter.

"You are no longer the queen," Zeus said to her.

"Now that everyone is aware that we are taking over, I will give you a choice. Serve me or die like him and his family." Zeus pointed at Alfred.

"You will all be witnesses to their deaths so you will be sure to make the correct choice." That's when Zeus and Orien's followers came in.

"Hold down that woman and tie up the son." Zeus grabs a knife and walk behind the Corban.

"I think the son here needs a haircut." Zeus took Corban by the hair and then put the knife on his forehead. He then slowly began to scalp him. Corban yells as blood began to flow down his face.

"NO! LET MY SON GO!" Mackenzie screams and fought against her captors. She was able to free herself and just before she hit Zeus, he turned and hit her. She flew across the room and was impaled by a stake the suit of armor was holding. She cough and blood came out from her mouth. She fell to the floor taking the armor with her.

"Hey! you told me I would get to kill her." Orien whine.

"You can have the girl." Zeus went back to cutting the flesh and hair off of Corben's head.

"This looks all wrong. I still see too much skin on your head." Zeus took the knife and cut just the first layer of skin off of Corban's face leaving the muscles exposed. Zeus even remove Corban's eyelids.

"Orien, it's your turn." Zeus turn to see Orien attacking Blair. She fought hard. She tore at Orien's face. Orien bit her neck.

"NO!" She turns her head as he went to dig his teeth in deeper.

The force of the two movements caused Orien's teeth to cut her jugular vein. It surprised them both. Blair wraps her fingers around her neck as she bled out. As she began to lose consciousness. Orien moves her hand and let the blood squirt out into his mouth and all over his face. He stood up and Zeus looked at Orien's blood covered face.

"What? I may not have planned it that way but it sure was fun." Zeus rolls his eyes.

"Now that you have seen what we can do, It’s time for you to choose. Us or death?" Everyone in the room kneel all the way to the floor.

"That's what I thought you might say." Zeus smile.

"Time to train for war."

"Don't touch anything," Rose warn the two Morag's brothers.

"Anything move or tempered with, Thana will kill me... Literally." Mondo look around this vast room.

"What is this room for?"

"This is the royal art room. Like I said... Don't touch anything!" Rose stops in front of a room and turn around.

"Beyond this door, is a labyrinth. Stick with me. Don't do, touch, even say anything. Stay silent, zip it and threw the keys away!" Rose warn the brothers. They both nod.

"It may not be the Goddess Selene herself. But just... Don't say anything." Rose turn to face the door and sigh. She let the door open and walk inside. Cyran notice an ancient writing on the wall and he immediately notices it's a different environment. Rose walk through the dark hallway of the mysterious room in the palace ground with ease. She knows the path too well. She lifts far too Long to not memorize the way.

She stops in front of two statues that guarding the huge gold door. Mondo feels the chill all over his body. He knows whatever behind that door is not news. But rose said this thing could help them and it shall. Rose push the huge gold door and instantly, flames begin to lighten the room up.

Mondo and Cyran were astonished by the beauty of this tomb-like room.

"Welcome to the place where the queens salvage the God of the sky, war, and hunting, Horus." Mondo and Cyran's eyes widen when they say a... Falcon head man standing in front of them, staring, glaring... They don't know what he's doing.

Rose kneel and gesture for them to do so.

"Rose Hardia, the daughter of Satan and Archangel. How nice to see you again." Rose looks up to the God.

"Horus, the Son of Osiris and Isis likewise." Rose stand and gesture for the brothers to do the same.

"In my most humble state, I would like to ask the help of the great Horus that is experience in war and hunting, to teach these two young man," Rose said. Horus walks along the stairs and stopped in front of Rose and the others.

"And what will I get from this?"

"War. I know it's boring staying in this... Golden chamber. If you agreed, these doors will open when the war started." Horus was taken aback by his reward. Since the queens took back his statue to the palace, all he got was blood from them and worships. Somehow, Rose rewards are tempting.

"We shall see how we can turn these young man to be the best," Rose smirked and nod. She turn to the brothers and told them to be here until the God says so. Rose walk towards the door and closed it.

"I hope this works." She walk through the dark halls again and back to the Morag's mansion.

"Honey. How can we do this? We have yet to have an army. Now, dad asked for our help...." Aura went to her Husband side.

"We can get through this." Aura rubs her husband's side. Abe feels calm by her touch.

"Vampires and werewolves join forces to be a rogue clan." Abe scoffed.

"I will not be surprised if they manage to involved the dragons and any other creature in their army list." Aura just listens to her husband's rant.

"Why does Moana with that rose girl?" Abe asked his Wwife.

"Barion used some spell to trick Moana to be his mate." Abe scoffed.

"Despicable. And she just found her?" Aura nod.

"She shows how painful death can be." Abe was impressed.

"A lot of legends revolving around that Hardia girl." Aura seems interested.

"What kind of legends?"

"A lot. When I was a kid, Mom always talks about heaven and hell to us. She talked about a powerful archangel being trick by the ruler of the underworld and there it was, a child of both worlds. Rose." Aura sits next to her husband, curious about the stories.

"But because the God have mercy, the archangel didn't get to be banished from heaven, instead of the kid that she was carrying, will be the go-between of heaven and hell. The Protector. I never dream of meeting the protector, but there she was, in dad's house." Abe chuckle.

"There's a book about Rose. I came across one when I was at the academy. She's different in the description. I remember the book says her vicious acts elk make all creature cowers in the corner. The ground she walks, shake when she's angry, thunder roaring and wind will blow everything in its path." Aura was fascinated. She always does when her Husband begins to talk.

"But the Rose I see now is different. But I'm pretty sure her fighting skill is still the same now that she has a mate. Just promise me to be careful around her."

"Why?" Abe sigh.

"She's Satan kid. Satan is always the bad person. His demon whisper stuff to our ears and let the war happen. If his slaves can do that to us, just think what his daughter can do."

"I think Thana and Rose are different than in all the books that you've read Abe." Abe scoffed.

"Tell me the difference Aura... What if they planned on taking dad's pack and make it their own?" Aura shakes her head.

"No Abe."

"Yes Aura. We need to think about all the possibilities here. Thana is obviously a princess, she can do anything. Rose, she's a demon more than an angel!"

"I think you are wrong Abe. Yes, she's rude and never think of others opinion but she never fails to protect me." Moana suddenly came through the room.

"So this is what you two think of my mate?" Aura stands and shakes her head.

"No Moana. I don't." Moana look at Abe.

"What if I think the same thing about you? What do you feel?" Abe didn't say anything.

"Let me tell you something... While Rose or Thana was here, she never set their foot on the crystal room. Not like you Abe. You think I don't know about that little trip at night you always took? Rose and I caught you. But we didn't say anything because ROSE said you will come clean." Moana turn her heels to the door.

"The person who you hate the most actually the one who saves your ass," Moana said and walk out with her eyes filled with tears..

"You went to the sacred crystal room?!" Aura's glared is deadly.

"You might be my alpha Abe but you CAN’T cross me like that!" Abe don't know what to do. her wife is angry.

"ABE! DID YOU WENT INTO THE CRYSTAL ROOM?!" Aura yells. Abe nod. Aura's eyes widen. Her dad will be so angry if he knows. Not even his own kids ever been inside the room.

"You know how much in trouble we are?!"

"What's the big deal?" Abe asked.

"What's the big deal? WHATS THE BIG DEAL?! It's a huge deal!!!" Aura yells.

"Not even us, his own children ever step foot in that room!" Aura walked towards the window and sighed. She feels disappointed in her husband. She knows her dad well. Abe went to her Wife.

"Don't touch me." Aura said and shakes her Husband's hands off of her shoulder.

"What did you take?" Abe sigh.

"A couple of moonstones." Aura turned her head to her Husband.

"MOONSTONES?! Oh no... This is bad...." Aura punched the window as hard as she could. Abe flinches as he heard the window breaks. Aura grabs her husband by the neck and drags her out of the room.

"WE'RE GOING TO APOLOGISE, NOW!" Aura yells and walk towards her father's chamber.
