So I made it. Its a long walk but I got here just in time to hear the bell for second period ringing. To my surprise Dr. Sam was in the hallway right inside the front door and seemed relieved to see me. I guess he noticed from my facial expression that I wasnt ready to face my peers and that I needed to talk first because he gave me a silent invite to his office with a head nod. I entered his office. It always smelled so nice in here like island paradise scents and fresh air. I knew the questioning was about to begin when he sat down and just stared at me. "Soooooo miss Hartley, what happened?" he asked. "She finally did it, she finally told me when the checks stop that I'm no longer welcome, I have no where to go, im not even finished with school, I have no car, no money, no family, what am I supposed to do?" I questioned. "I want you to relax, and take a deep breath, answer some of my questions and i'll answer some of yours okay?" He asked. "Sure" I responded. "When was the last time marcy talked to you? What was the last piece of advice she gave you and have you noticed any changes in her thoughts or behavior recently" he asked. "Well, she seemed a bit more on edge the last couple times, im tired, really tired today especially, and it seems that marcy has retreated in the furthest part of my brain to get some rest of her own, her last piece of advice was to listen to you" I responded. "Hmm, maybe you should take a walk, when you don't understand what's happening, when you get confused and panicky, hike out into the woods, and just walk until you feel better, it always works for me, your problems seem to resolve themselves when you let nature take over" he explained. "Allllrrriiight then, your gonna encourage me to walk in the woods possibly in the middle of the night to solve my panic attacks and fear, sounds like a great idea" I reply with tons of sarcasm. Dr.sam shoots me a quick smirk and responds "just listen to me jasmine, ive never tried to harm you or give you bad advice." So I left his office to go to class and realize that I'm just too tired. I cant stay awake and practically sleep my day away for the remainder of the school day. Luckily I caught the bus home, if I had to walk I probably wouldn't have made it. I went in the house, locked my door, and went straight to bed. I woke up around 11 pm. 1 hour before my 18th birthday and something was wrong. I could feel it.
