Chapter 12 (Aria)

“You know he really does care about her” Will says to me. We were back in our room we decided to leave and give Sarah and Alec privacy.

“I know” I say in a low voice. I feel guilty not telling my mate the truth about Sarah. 

“No I don’t think you do because if you did you would tell us the truth! He’s been waiting for her since he was 17 and she wasn’t even born yet. He searched for years for his mate! When he turned thirty things got even worst he became feral more aggressive he almost killed his entire pack. He had to be chained for days to control his lycan. I saw my best friend fall apart and there was nothing I could do”

I feel terrible I’m 19 and Will is 25, he had to wait for me too but we’ve made up for lost time. But Sarah and Alec haven’t even mated or marked each other it’s almost like if he’s still waiting for. Like he never found her but Sarah hasn’t had it easy either.

“Will trust me I do get it but Sarah is my best friend and I will always be there for her. Trust doesn’t come easy for her he needs to give her time.” I go to him and lay my head on his chest. This whole situation is f*cked up. Will is trying to protect Alec and I’m trying to protect Sarah. I don’t wanna fight. 

“I love you” I say to him and get on my knees. I start to unbutton his pants

“Baby what are you doing?”

“I’m showing my mate how much I love him”

These past few days Ive tried to get Sarah to open up to me but she refuses. Will even tried to help me out by talking to Derik but nothing. She is more affectionate tho calls me daddy almost all the time, kisses me, and sits on my lap when ever we’re together. Seb apologist to Sarah and Derik but not before I broke his legs and threatened to kill his mate if he ever touched mine again. I know Sarah challenged him but I don’t care no one touches what is mine! Seb is a loyal soldier that’s why I made him general but since the whole thing with Ruth happened he’s been different. Maybe he just needs time I would hate to kill my friend.

I mind link Will to come to my office

Few seconds later Will comes in

“Hey there Alec you called?”

“Yes, I want you to go to the library and bring me every  book we have on werewolves shifter history.”

“So I’m guessing you still don’t know what she is?” 

“No and it’s driving me crazy!” Will gives me a sympathetic look

“Okay... where is she right now? I’m actually surprised she’s not with you lately you two seem inseparable.”

“She’s with Elizabeth in the theater room watching UP.”

“You know Elizabeth talks to her.”

“Yeah I do, it makes me happy she’s finally starting to talk I just wish it was with me but at least she has Sarah. They’ve really bonded.” 

“Don’t worry she will, that little girl loves you... umm have you told Sarah about Aria?”

“No!” I growl out. Why would he bring it up, he knows how I feel about it.

“Alec eventually you’ll have to tell her and not just her Elizabeth too”

“No! Will she’s been thru too much I won’t cause her anymore pain”

“Alec she deserves to know her mother is still alive” Will is my best friend and knows all my secrets but sometimes I wish he didn’t.

“She’s not Will! She’s in a f*cken coma! Leave before my lycan does something will both regret” I bark out

“Fine I’m sorry” Will says while leaving
