*** Caine's PV:
Royal Capital Adventurer Guild.
It has always been wish to find out what it's like to become a adventurer, and so today with my free time I visited the adventurer guild of the royal capital.
The adventurer guild of the royal capital was about the size of the Earl's mansion. They have all sort of facilities and rooms for accommodation, though I haven't visited an adventurer guild from any other city, but I am certain that the other guilds won't be this grand.
"Welcome to the Adventurer Guild of the Royal Capital. My name is Kiki, a receptionist, how may I help you little boy?" A female receptionist who introduced herself as Kiki asked why looking down over the counter.
Sigh, I guess it can't be helped to be called a little boy, since I'm currently only eight years old.
I cleared my throat and replied, "Yes, I would like to register as an adventurer please."
"Ha-ha, another young one. I see, here you just have to fill in this form and return it to me." Kiki handed a clip board with a registration paper on it and a pen.
"Thank you."
I scanned the registration form and carefully filled it in.

[Gender] Male
[Class] Swordsmen
[Special Abilities] Storage - 5 Cubic metre.
At first I hesitated of whether to put down my storage ability or not, but thinking of how I might need to use it in the future will easily expose the ability and so I decided to write a limit down.
When I handed the form and pen back to Kiki, she became surprise, "Storage. If this is true then your rank will begin at C-Rank."
Seeing my confused expression, Kiki then proceeded to explain, "Ah right, everyone will receive an rank once they join the guild. The rank starts from E to SSS, but no one had gone pass S-Rank."
"Normally, those who had just joined the guild will start a E-Rank, but since you have the special ability, storage then your rank will start from C, since storage ability users are well-sort of by parties. If the rank were too low then it will affect the overall rank of the party."
I see, well it doesn't hurt to start off at C-Rank, besides I heard that if you were at E-Rank then you would have to start by picking up grass.
We then proceeded to have the ability confirmed and after waiting for about a minute or so, Kiki came back and handed me a pocket size card. It's an identification card for adventurers.

"You can take on any quest that are above yours by one rank, but if the quest is incomplete by the deadline then there will be a 20% penalty of the total reward."
"Seeing that you are still an minor, I would recommend that you join a party if you want to do quests that are at C-Rank." Kiki suggested.
"Thank you, but I'm alright." I once again thanked her before heading toward the huge billboard on the side of the wall.
The billboard was full of tasks, from collecting medical herbs to subjugating monsters, but the one that cause my attention the most was an task to subjugate an Orc's hideout near a village. The reason it caught my attention the most is because the quest had been issued for over a month but no one seems to have accepted it.
If I remember correctly, this village is about two days away from here, there had been many parties who tried to subjugate those Orcs but there number was just way too high and the price is too little to compensate.
The village is poor and underdeveloped, and doesn't have much value so the lord in charged of it never sent out its army.
Since the task was B-Rank and nobody will seem to take care of it, then I will. After all I don't lack money, so the reward doesn't matter to me.
After a moment of hesitation, I decided to not register the quest at the reception and just start making my way to the village.
Why? Because a task that not even the army could possibly defeat was easily defeated by a single eight years old would just be too unusual and bring about suspicion.
I'll just take a look at other quests when I return next time.
