Chapter 3: Luna Summer

Savi

I was alone with Alpha Radcliff; he was in his wheelchair, I had a deadly dose of wolfsbane in my bag, and I had planned to kill him. I was moving to Alpha Bens' pack with Summer; I wanted what Summer had, so I had to move there, and things will be looking up for me. I leaned in, kissing his lips, and grabbed his d**k, missing how good it felt, and he looked at me, and I said, "I am moving in with Summer, so I can't see you anymore." He said, "No, you can't, I love you," but I asked, "What can a crippled Alpha do for me when I can have Alpha Ben?" He looked at me, shocked, and said, "That is Summer's mate; what are you planning to do?" I smiled and whispered, "I plan to kill her and take her place," and he grabbed my throat, and we ended up rolling around on the ground as he yelled, "I will kill you before I let you hurt Summer, you demon."

I was losing consciousness when I saw the syringe had fallen out of my bag, so I grabbed it and plunged it into his neck; I watched him die before I put him in bed, making it look like he died in his sleep. I left there in a hurry and went shopping to build my alibi; I couldn't believe I had gone through with it, and I closed my eyes trying to put it to the back of my mind. Days passed, and we were at Alpha Radcliff's funeral; Summer was crying next to me but being consoled by Alpha Ben. Her mother was still in shock at losing her mate; I stood there feeling bad that I had ended him. He did so much for me, but I had my eyes set on someone else, and nothing will stop me from getting it as I watch Ben hold Summer's hand, leading her back to the pack house. Luna Ada looked at me like she knew I had something to do with her mate's death, but I also could be imagining things.

It's been weeks, and the wedding was getting closer; Summer asked me to be her maid of honor, and I accepted, I started dating one of Ben's warriors, using him as an excuse to join Ben's Pack. I was so attracted to Ben that I decided to volunteer at the small hospital, so I would be near his office when he wasn't downtown. I had to find a way to work myself into Ben's heart; I wanted to be Luna, and I was not going to stop until I became Ben's Luna. Hazen was the general's son, and we lived together; he invited me out to hang out with him and his friends, and being the loving girlfriend, I decided to go. We ran into Ben, Summer, and his Beta Rush with some girl he was dating; Summer called me over, and the night was going well. We played pool, and it was comforting being so close to Ben without suspicion; his pack mates respected him, and I felt jealous seeing how they respected Summer as an extension of him.

It was time to go home, and I saw how lovingly Ben treated Summer; it was as if she were his delicate flower, and I wanted that for myself. They kissed passionately, and he grabbed her ass; I was taken out of my thoughts when Hazen pulled me towards his car, and we got in. I yelled, "See you tomorrow, Summer!" She waved back, and I watched them get into their truck; the ride back home was quiet but refreshing. I headed to the bedroom, and Hazen followed me, turning me around and planting a kiss on my lips; we took each other's clothes off quickly, and before I knew it, he had me in the center of his bed, burying his c**k deep inside me. It was the day of Summer's wedding and coronation; I will admit that she is a beautiful bride, and I hope I look just as beautiful when Ben takes me as his mate. The elders had given their blessing a long time ago, and I hated that she would be a wolfless, weak Luna. I hate their intimacy, I hate smelling him on her and vice versa; I looked at Summer and asked, "Are you ready to go?" She nodded, and we headed down to where the ceremony would be taking place, I couldn't wait to see Ben in his tux; he would be so handsome, and one day he would be mine. The music started playing, and everyone of importance was at the wedding; I followed her down the aisle, wishing it was me, and when they took their vows, I saw myself there in her place pledging my loyalty to Ben.

Summer

I had fallen in love with Benjamin, and it was time for the Luna Ceremony and my wedding all in one; Savannah had moved here to be around me and was my maid of honor. She liked Ben and always told me, "You did well, Summer," and she even tried to see if her mate was there, but no luck, and she ended up dating a warrior named Hazen in the pack. I had lost my father a while back, and my mother decided to move here after my wedding, leaving the pack in the hands of my dad's beta and cousin. We had the option of merging the pack as I was the rightful Alpha of the pack, but that won't happen until I am ready to take over if I have a son. I was nervous but excited to finally be marked and take on the job of being Ben's luna; he was everything to me, and as I walked down the aisle to marry him, I couldn't help but wonder if I was doing the right thing.

We were at the wedding party, and everyone was having a good time; I couldn't help but be around my husband as he kissed my lips for the millionth time today. Ben pulled me onto the dance floor for our first dance, and we looked into each other's eyes as our bond grew stronger. I was wolfless, but I felt our bond slightly; it was amazing. I wished I had a wolf so I could be a stronger Luna for him, but he assured me I was all he needed. We cut the cake and listened to speeches from his friends; Savi stood up and offered a toast, congratulating us and even calling Ben her brother since we are so close. I felt great that my best friend and husband were getting along; I hugged her and whispered, "Hopefully, you find your mate, or you let Hazen mark you and start a family soon so our kids can grow up together." She looked at me, shocked or offended, but then she smiled and said, "Sure, maybe I should discuss it with him," and we laughed.

As the months went on, I loved being Luna; his people respected me, my mother eventually mated a general Zen in Ben's pack, and he was her second-chance mate. Savannah decided to move into the pack house, leaving Hazen in his apartment, and worked at the hospital as a records clerk; everyone loved that she and Benjamin were getting along. She even volunteered to help with his filing on weekends for a few hours, and he respected that she was dedicated to helping out around the packhouse. I woke up feeling sick again, and this time I decided to take a pregnancy test; I wasn't on birth control, and Ben hasn't been pulling out of me lately. He even knotted me on our honeymoon at least twice, but he was my husband, and I don't mind starting a family with him. I sat on the bathroom floor waiting for the results; I hoped that if I were pregnant, he wouldn't be mad because we had spoken about having kids, but never agreed to it.

Savi knocked on the door, and I opened it; she was excited to go shopping, but saw the gloomy look on my face, and I told her what was going on. She took up the test and started screaming, saying, "You are having a baby!" I was shocked but not surprised when Ben walked in and asked, "Are you pregnant?" Looking me in the eyes, he was waiting for me to confirm it, totally ignoring Savi by the door. I nodded, showing him the test; he smiled and hugged me, screaming, "I'm going to be a father," linking his Beta, who congradulated me. Within minutes, the whole pack knew that their luna was with pup, and I was rushed to the doctor so I could start my healthy meal plan. Over the next few weeks, Savi seems different, but she has been going through a lot since she and Hazen broke up. She came to the library with a glass of juice and some crackers; we talked for a while before I felt pain in my stomach and passed out.
