DEVASTATING NEWS
Matthew was at the firehouse on a Tuesday afternoon. He returned from a factory fire with no casualties. All safe. He turned to Johnny who was sipping coffee in the kitchen. “So are we okay? With Liz, I mean?”
Johnny hit him playfully across the shoulder. “Listen, mate. Water under the bridge. She was a bit of fun, nothing serious. We only kissed a couple of times. That was it.” He changed the subject. “Anyway, you’ve recovered well.”
