Later that evening, Liz used her security card to access the building where she worked. The office was empty and deserted. Chills prickled her spine and her heart rate accelerated.
She mentioned to her new boss that she needed to complete case files on one of her clients and would also be researching the family’s background. In actuality, Liz wanted to check the company database regarding the case of a woman overdosing on a drug a number of years ago.
