INVESTIGATION
Liz’s hands shook as she stood in the basement. Marco shouted instructions to a team of officers after checking for the perpetrator at all exits of the building. “I want you to check CCTV and canvass for any possible witnesses outside the building and inside. Look for any suspicious lurkers.” He pointed to another officer. “Go door to door to the other residents in the building and see whether they heard or saw anything suspicious. I want this area cordoned off, and I want you to check Domenic’s alibi for earlier today.” He turned to an officer who was tall and stout.
