Chapter 8 - Savior

Angelica Heart P.O.V

    When he said TRH, my heart dropped. Why on earth, on all of the places, he decided to go there? But I can't bring myself to tell him that I don't want to go. We ended up in TRH. The waitress look at me with shocked face. Well, that mean she still remember me. I don't want Niel to see my nervousness but I think he see that. I am never a good liar. Out of the blue, i heard his husky voice. "What is wrong, Lica? Is there something bothering you?". When I look at him, I see his concern so I force a smile.

    "Nothing is wrong. I just haven't been here for quite some times. It used to be my favorite place. When I am here, I am rushed with memories. The good and the bad ones." He stay quiet for a while then out of the blue, he hold my hand."Do you want to go, baby? We don't have to eat here if you don't want to." 

    At first I am puzzle on why he suddenly call me baby. Then, it struck me. His sudden nickname make me stop shivering. I am thankful for that. I decided to forget about it. If its to overbearing, I will just have to make new memories with Niel here. When I realize what I think, I just laugh. "No. I am good, my Niel. Hahaha. You caught me off guards. Naughty guy." Then we continue our breakfast successfully. We keep talking to each other when we almost finish our meals, only then I realize Amber and Ab supposedly joined us. Maybe they caught up at Ab mom house?

    We hear some peoples giggling so I think it is new customer. I just continue talking to Neil when suddenly the I hear that freaking familiar voice.

"Angie..."

All the memories started to rushed in and I start feeling panic. I can't show that I am scared of him. Suddenly, I feel a hand holding my hand and when I look, it is Niel. Somehow, I feel safe. I have Neil here. I am not alone. I can do it. With a deep breath, we turn around to see the owner of the voice.

"August."

I responded to him with a force smile. I didn't let go of Niel hand. I am so thankful Niel didn't try to pull away. 

    When Aug look at Neil, I can swear his jaw dropped. Stammered, he said,"Hi..Mr...Mr. Moon." I look at Neil as I feel surprise to find out that Daniel and August know each other But maybe in professional term? Because August call him by his last name. Daniel look at August and stay silent like he is thinking. I see that August saw that I am holding hand with Neil and I can see he is shocked and upset. It make me to panic and I try to pull away my hand but he doesn't let it go. He look at me and smile."Why baby?" he said looking at me. Baby? What's that for? Daniel cleared his throat."Hi. It take some times to recalls my staffs name from time to time. Hi Mr. August Day. I thought you take sick leave today. Care to explain why are you here if you are sick?" I see. So, Daniel is August boss. Okay that make me feel relieve. I mean August won't be as stupid as a mull to hit his own boss. Daniel continued," I also want to know what is your relationship with Angelica here. I find it a bit disturbing when you call my fiancee that friendly."

    I am flabbergasted. Fiancee? What the hell? It seem like August also is surprise with Niel sudden announcement while Niel is sitting there in very calm and collective way. Since it happened this way, I decided to play along and ask question later. Anything is good if I can August to back off. August looked at me in disbelief. " Angie. Is this true? Is this f*****g true? Is he lying?" I can feel that August is getting upset and frustrated and it scare me but Neil drag my chair to next to his chair. I feel like he is protecting me in some way because he realize that I am scared. "Who do you think you are to yell at my fiancee, Mr. August? You have yet answer me why you are here when you apply for sick leave this morning? Are you faking your sickness?" I can hear Neil voice is threatening even though he say it is calm manner. He is pissed off. 

    "No...No... Mr. Moon.. I didn't lie. I am not feeling well earlier this morning and that is why I went to the clinic to get the MC and apply for sick leave today. I just come here to get some drink and food as I am craving this restaurant meal. I also would like to apologized to you and Angie. I didn't mean to yell at Angie.. I am just shocked when I heard about the news because I never hear Angie talking about you nor the engagement." The way that August explain himself sound so stupid. It's not even pass noon yet and he's already feeling better? I can feel Niel looking at me and when I turned to him, I can sense the domination feeling in his gaze. He is upset and he is not happy about this. I don't even know why he feel that way. I am not her girlfriend or her mistress. We just met few days ago and he already feel he can control me like I am his? Wrong move, dude.

    "I don't think you expect me to believe in your weak explanation right? If you want to take leave, why won't you apply for annual leave and fake your MC instead? Do you realized that today they have important meeting related to the apps department? This is unacceptable Mr. August. I will update the HR department regarding today matter." Neil said to August. The way he told August professionally is so charming. Not surprising though. He is the CEO of Moon Group. " Duly noted, Mr. Moon. I will ask HR to change today MC application to AL instead. Please forgive me, Mr. Moon."

    Neil cleared his throat."Okay. Please consider this as your first warning. Please write an official email regarding this request and cc me in the email."Hearing Neil words, August nod his head. Neil continued,"Now that settle, let get down to this matter now. I don't know how you know Angelica but she also never tell me about you. However, I don't feel comfortable when you said that Angelica never tell you anything as I don't think you are in any close relationship with her to know about this. We planned to keep this news as a secret until further future. Now, that being said, if I find out you blabbing about this news to anyone, I will not let you off easy. Understand, Mr. August?" The intimidating way of talk sure let August to promise to keep it a secret which bring a big relieve to me and of course to Neil.

    "Let's go, baby. I'll bet Amber and Abraham is waiting for us." I said to Neil as a signal to make our move out from the restaurant. He relaxed his grip when he heard me saying that. I can feel he has cool down. What is wrong with him? Bipolar, maybe? He smiled at me."Sure, my Lica. Let's get going." He held my hand as we walked out of to the counter as August just stay standing there. When we passby August, he stopped me by holding my hand and I froze. I looked up to him.He seem in total shocked."Angie." I can feel that Neil grip is getting tighter. I looked at Neil asking him to let me handle it and luckily he understand the sign."Aug..Please let me go. I am with my fiancee and I will appreciate if you let my hand go. Please respect me and my fiancee which also your employer. I don't like your touching me especially in this place. Remember that." I look at him full with anger and he slowly let me go. Then, Neil pay the bills and we go out from the TRH. He just silently hold my hand and open the car door for me. When he drive away from TRH, I can see August in the side mirror standing in front of the  restaurant as we leave.

    Neil keep driving until we reach my house. He turned off the engine and stay in the car with me. Somehow, I feel safe with him..Out of the blue, I decide to pull his arm towards me."Please lend me your shoulder please. Please Neil. I'm begging you." and I cry my heart out. He keep petting my head and it bring me comfort."Thank you Neil.. For saving me. for being my savior today."
