The word that the children were rescued spread throughout the town. Only the family of one child was not recovered.
"Chel said she was pushed up by her parents so she remained at the edge like other children," the old grandmother told Lady Lumina. She was the remaining relative of the little girl.
"I'm sad that her parents were not saved," Lady Lumina murmured solemnly. "But you had little Chel with you. Take care of her! Take this as a gift." She gave a small pouch of coins.
