The frigate started to slow. Only by a fraction at first, but soon it was slowing rapidly and slewing to the right at the same time. Jess analysed the path and saw that not only would it bring the frigate closer to the Wanderer, it would also mean if the Wanderer tried to evade then it would easily be targeted by those corvettes which were still intact and following close behind.
Jess split the difference, allowing the frigate to grow somewhat closer, even as the corvettes did. He kept the Wanderer firing on the frigate, doing more and more damage to its thrusters. The frigate was limping badly now but it and the following corvettes had the Wanderer trapped between them.
