"Why on earth would you do that again, Claire?" I am in Jake's arms a few centimeters away from the edge of the cliff, staring straight ahead of me. I had my foot stepping on air when Jake had reached me, pulling me back immediately. I hadn't been able to get out of his arms since then, I guess he needed the comfort after watching me almost jump to my death.
"I felt cornered, you were standing in my way and I knew that your wolf would not stop until he got what he wanted. I looked behind me and noticed that this was my only other option." I explain, secretly glad he had caught me because after all this time I finally know that I don't want to die. It is an amazing discovery that even after all that I had been through I still feel like I have a reason to live.
