3rd Person POV The wind was picking up like a storm blew in out of no where. Shayla knew what was about to happen if they didn't calm Val down ASAP. The wind and debris started swirling Val, like she was in the middle of a tornado. Shayla turned to where Silas and Caden were standing. "If you want to claim you are her as your mate, nows your time to shine only her mate or her family will be able to calm her down anytime soon. Sarah, Elius please make sure no one comes out here. We need to make sure she is safe until she can calm down." Shayla passing out orders. Sarah and Elius went to keep everyone inside. Caden and Silas just stood there, mouths open in awed. "Move! Your! A*S!" Shayla yelled at them. Caden moved closer to Val, while Silas just stood there. "She's not my mate." He crossed his arms and continued standing there. "I don't care if you want to deny the bond that's on you but right now, if you don't want her to blow your house away get over there and help your brother, you can figure out your mate bond later." Shayla was getting pissed. Silas sighed and walked over to Caden. "What are we supposed?" Silas grumbled to Caden. "Talk to her I guess." Caden shrugged. "Okay go ahead." Silas gestured to Val. "Hey Val.. can you hear me?" Caden trying to get her attention, she glanced over to him, she had streams of tear running down her face. "I don't want to hurt anyone. I'm scared." She sobbed. Caden took a step closer and noticed the wind and debris moved away letting him get closer to her. Silas followed suit. Caden reached Val first grabbing her hand, she glanced down, he felt the sparks tingle up his arm. Silas grabbed her other hand. "Focue on my voice Val. Focus on the feeling you have where we are touching you." Silas chimed up. After a few more encouraging words the wind started to die down, Vals breath became regular. The debris fell back to the ground, so did Val, she passed out. Hours went and Val was still passed out. They had her laying in Cadens room, hoping the smell or her mate or mate bond would help what was going on with her. Shayla had been talking to the Greys when Val woke up. No one had noticed she was awake, she just listed to what they were saying. "I don't care what the luck she is, I don't want her as my mate." Silas scream whispered to his parents. "Well I do want her as my mate, either you can get on board or you will let her reject you, because as wolves you can't reject her unless I do thanks to us being twins." Caden stated, everyone really needed to take a few minutes and cool down temperatures were starting to run high. "Whats a mate?" Val spoke up softly. Vals POV Everyone's head snapped in my direction. "OH, thank goddess, you are awake!" Shayla said rushing to her side. "Umm, yeah, I could use some water." I suggested glancing around the room I was in. Everything was neat and tidy other than a few clothes next to a basket, there were photographs all over one wall and trophy's along the opposite wall, 2 identical dressers, and a long full length mirror everything was a dark almost midnight blue except the dressers and night stands they were a dark mahogany wood and Mr. Grey went to get me water. "Hey," Caden said drawing her attention back to them. "Do you remember what happen?" "Umm.. I remember the clock striking midnight and my skin felt like time was buzzing, then the wind picked up and something about mates, whatever that means, then you and Silas grabbed my hands." I remember everything. I also had the strangest dream but I won't mention that yet. "Yeah you passed out and we brought you up here to rest until you woke up." He said with a smile grabbing my hand. "So is anyone going to answer my question?" I rasped out. My throat is still dry from not having anything to drink in a few hours. "And what question would that be?" Caden asked. "Mates, what is that?" I asked again. "Well um.." He scratched the back of his neck while hesitating looking at his brother, mother and Shayla. They all shrugged and nodded. "Well um.." He started again. "OH for pete sakes." Shayla chimed in. "Mates as in soul mate, the one or in your case ones that were made to be your other half. All supernatural creatures have a mate." She finished. "Supernatural creatures?" I chuckled. " like werewolves, witches, and vampires?" I asked because they all looked serious and it was starting to freak me out. "Yes all those and so much more, like fae, which is what you are." Shayla stated. "I'm not a supernatural creatures or a what did you call it fae. I am just a nobody from no where."I was shocked. "Yes Val you are." "How would you know that?" I asked her. "Well because I am your guardian. The one who looks out for you and gets you out of trouble." She stated. "So I'm fae?" I asked to clarify. "Yes." "And you are fae?" I pointed to her. "Yes, again." She smiled. "And are you all..." I hesitated. "Um. No we are werewolves." Mrs. Grey spoke up this time. "Okay and you are my mate?" I pointed to Caden. I wouldn't mind if I get to spend the rest of my life with him, I mean he's nice, sweet, kind, smart, and freaking hot. I would have to get to know him more before anything were to happen. "Yes, but he is also your mate." Caden said pointing up to Silas, the d**k. "She's not my mate." He mumbled out. "OH for the love of everything pure and holy in this world stop saying that. Obviously she is because your brother has claimed her, and you 2 are identical twins therefore she would have to be yours aswell, and the freaking wind storm let you through it, so for the love of goddess figure out why you don't want her, I mean come on shes beautiful, smart, kind, and all around amazing. So figure out before you lose your Goddess given mate. I for one am happy its her and not that freaking bimbo you have been hanging around with." Mrs. Grey had finished her rant. Apparently his mother had had enough, I chuckled to myself. "Whatever." He rolled his eyes and stormed out of the room. I kind of felt a little sad that he didn't want me. "Uh. Here's your water." Mr. Grey said walking back in the room handing me the water. "Thank you." I took the water and downed the glass. "So why don't we leave you to rest." Mrs. Grey said pushing Mr. Grey out the room. "Uh.. Shay can you stay I have questions." I asked. "Happy to." She smiled sitting next to me on the bed. "Can I stay to, being your mate might help keep you calm or make you feel better." He was trying to convince me to let him stay. "Yes you can stay. To be honest I don't want you to leave either." I said and he grinned sitting at the foot of the bed.
