Chapter Nine: Jealousy

As the birds chirp outside, all I can see is Adrien sleeping peacefully, and I get on top of him. Then I start to tickle him and he jumps up.

"G-Geez what the hell!" As he scratches his head, I chuckle and kiss his nose.

"You wouldn't wake up my kitty."

"What time is it anyways?" Then he starts to wipe his eyes while yawning.

"5:45 my love, so it's time to get up and get dresssed." Then I give him a kiss on the head, and I grab his arms to lift him up. As he moans and groans I can't help but smile at him. Even though I know this is wrong, and I shouldn't have him in my bed, I just want him to be with him forever. Suddenly he grabs me and kisses me deeply, then he grabs me and flips me over underneath him.

"Technically school starts at 7:45am and I have time to taste my princess." As he kisses my cheek, then my ear, I stop him and press my finger on his lip.

"In your dreams kitty." As I laugh, I notice he looks shocked and stares at me.

"Adrien? Is everything okay?" Then he shakes his head, and we start to sneak downstairs into the shower. As we laugh and giggle after shutting the bathroom door behind us, I kissed him while locking the door. Then he hugs me from behind, and we look in the mirror.

Suddenly he kisses my shoulder and looks at me in the mirror. Then he starts to slide off my shirt and my pajama pants.

"Adrien! We are going to be late!" Then I start to laugh as he keeps kissing my shoulder. Suddenly he turns on the shower and guides me in.

"Adrien! You still have your clothes on." Then he starts to laugh with me and picks me up to pin me against the wall.

"Do you want to help me take them off then princess?"

"Maybe I would kitty." As we inch closer to each other, suddenly we both hear Luka's voice in the kitchen.

"Hi is Marinette still here, or has she already left for school?" He asks.

"Hmm. That's a very good question. I know she said she was going to get in the shower but I haven't seen her since." Then the bathroom door knob rattles and I quickly get off of Adrien. When the door opens I quickly cover myself in a towel.

"Oh sorry honey I didn't know you were still in here." Then I glare at her and shake my head.

"You could've knocked mom." As I try to put on my clothes she realizes the shower is still running.

"Oh honey you should really turn the shower off if you are done." When she reaches for the shower curtain I jump in front of her and start pushing her out.

"Well mom I was still doing my hair. As you can see I'm still naked underneath my towel. So if you don't mind I'm going to fin-" Suddenly my town falls down and both Luka and my mom see my naked body. As Luka blushes hard I slam the door in their faces and sigh hard. Then Adrien comes out of the shower and hugs me.

"So you totally planned that towel falling down, so Luka could see you naked." Then I hit him in the ribs with my elbow and start putting my clothes for school and I hand Adrien the towel.

"Alright I gotta go kitty. My parents have headed off to a catering event and now I have to sneak out and meet Luka out front." Suddenly he pulls me closer to him and holds me tightly in his arms. As we stood in silence, I knew what was bothering him before he could even say anything.

"I don't like having to share you with him. Especially knowing that he's tasted what's mine, it just makes my blood boil." Then I smile and turn around and hug him back.

"I know what you mean, but we have to keep this a secret, and you already know why. I have to go and so do you, before Kagami worries about where you're at." Then he starts to scratch his head and laughs suspiciously.

"What have you done Adrien?" I tap my foot quickly and glare at him.

"Well she might've called last night to ask that very same question, and I might've kinda sorta told her not to worry about it. And..." While he's getting changed,

he tries to avoid my gaze.

"And?" I ask while blocking the door so he doesn't try to escape.

"Well I might've hung up on her." He mumbles and then I start to yell at him.

"ARE YOU CRAZY! Do you want her to go digging!?" Jesus he is trying to get me killed today! She already watches me like a hawk, and now she will be suspecting that he was here! I mean he was but still, it's not like I want her to know that!

Next thing I know, Adrien pulls me closer to him, and kisses me passionately. "Don't worry princess. I will take care of Kagami. Now get going before I give you a reason to stay in bed with me all day." As I smile and head out of the door, I start to head outside to meet Luka, and head to school.

Adrien's POV:

While I'm brushing my hair I can't help but smell Marinette's perfume all over the bathroom. As I take a deep breath, Plagg comes up behind me and sits on my shoulder.

"You know Adrien, your face looks like mine when I smell moldy aged Camembert." While I laugh and flick him off of my shoulder, I start to get a text from Kagami. As I stare at my phone, Plagg sits on my phone and stares at me.

"Aren't you going to answer your girlfriend?" He asks and I grab my bag.

"I'll talk to her later. For now I'm already late and I need to get to school." Then I head up towards Marinette's balcony, until Plagg stops me.

"Adrien what is your plan here with Marinette? How long do you honestly expect this to last?" He asks while poking my chest.

"I don't know and I don't care Plagg. Yes I do like Kagami, but I care about Marinette. The last thing I want to do is hurt her. For now I need to get to school! Plagg claws out!" As I head to school, I can see Luka holding Marinette's hand. I decide to hide on top of the roof of the school and listen in on them.

"So Marinette, is your cheek alright?" Then he places his hand on her cheek and it makes my blood boil.

"I'm fine Luka. Thank you for asking, I just feel bad that Kagami got the wrong idea." As she smiles at him he suddenly pulls her closer to him. That cocky bastard! How dare he put his hands on something that's mine.

"Good. I care about you a lot Marinette, and I would hate if something happened to you." When he gets closer to her face, I realize I can't take it anymore, so I jump in between them.

Students: "Chat noir oh my god!! He's so hot! What is he doing at our school!" Even everyone is screaming my name right now I don't care. All I want is to punch him in the face for touching her. For attempting to kiss her soft lips. They belong to me and only me.

"Chat noir what are you doing here?" Luka asks and then I pull Marinette behind me.

"Protecting the city of Paris on patrol." Then I glare at him and I pick Marinette in my arms.

"Also I have a few questions to ask Marinette about the last super villain we defeated. If you will excuse us, we will be on our way." As I take her away behind the school, she suddenly pushes me off.

"De-transform right now!" She demands and I do as she says.

"Yes princess? Aren't you happy I saved you from him kissing you." I ask her.

"No Adrien I'm not! You made a scene in front of everyone! Do you know how bad this can get?" As she sighs and shakes her head, I can feel myself getting angry.

"Seems to me you're only angry because you couldn't kiss him." Then she snaps back at me and glares.

"Don't you dare try to turn this on me! Did you even listen to one word that I said? God it's like you don't even hear me!" Next thing I know, I just snap back at her.

"No Marinette, I'm not going to sit here and just let him kiss you. Then you expect me to just be okay with it? Fine if you feel that angry about it, I won't stop you next time." Finally she slaps me hard and a tear falls onto her cheek.

"You're such an i***t!" As she starts to walk away, I don't even chase her because there's no point. If she wants to kiss him that badly fine. I just thought that she felt the same about me, but I guess not.

Marinette's POV:

He's such an i***t! How can he make a huge scene like that, and then just act like I was only mad because I wanted to kiss him! Why doesn't he just understand that the only one I want is him. As I head into the locker room, I can see Chloe standing by my locker.

"I would say good morning Marinette Dupain Chang, but I would be lying." As I roll my eyes and brush her to the side to open my locker, she slams it back shut in my face.

"What the hell Chloe? Are that desperate for some attention that you're so obsessed with talking to me this morning." Then she glares at me and her face gets red hot.

"Watch what you say baker girl! I heard what happened on your little friend vacation." She whispers into my ear.

"Wow you are that lonely and desperate that you have to spy on me and my friend's lives like that? God get a life Chloe." When I start to walk away, she grabs my arm and whispers in my ear again.

"I'm watching you Dupain-Chang. Mark my words I will get you." Then she pushes me up and the locker and Alya comes rushing towards me.

"Oh god girl are you okay? I'm going to kill Chloe!" As she rushes off I grabs her hand and hug her.

"I'm fine Alya don't worry about it. Besides she's not worth the trouble she causes anyway. So let's just go to class before we're late." When we start heading to class, I can see Chloe snickering to Sabrina in the corner. I'll have to tell Adrien to watch out for Chloe once her starts to calm down. As we talk into class I can see Adrien sitting in his usual stop behind me. Then he suddenly looks away from me and I just sit down.

"Girl are you alright? I thought you Adrien were a kinda thing. Now you guys are ignoring each other?" She whispers to me and I decide to answer loud enough that Adrien can hear me.

"Sometimes Alya flings die with reckless behavior. I couldn't be with someone so childish, and couldn't trust me to handle situations on my own." Since he wants to act like a child, I'll treat him like one. Then before Alya could answer, Adrien starts to add to the conversation.

"I am not sure what you two were talking about but take it from Kagami and I, sometimes it's nice to rely on your partner. I mean anyone who's too entitled to accept a little help is a bit childish in my opinion." I clench my fist and put on a fake smile as I turn to face him.

"Well first off Adrien it's kind of rude to put your input into a conversation that you weren't invited to. Secondly, i think I know when I can handle my own situations. I also wouldn't put so much trust into your relationship considering you and Kagami aren't on the best terms right now." I snap back at him.

"Alya would you like to clue me into what's going on bwtween them?" Nino asks Alya quietly.

"Nothing just let them work this out on their own for now." She nods at him in reassurance.

"Whose fault is it that we are fighting in the first place?" He asks while rolling his eyes.

"Oh so now you're blaming me! Wow just pathetic Adrien, first you never listen to me, and now you are blaming me for something you started!"

"What are you guys talking about again?" Nino asks and then we both turn to him and yell.

"Nothing!" As we both glare at each other and roll our eyes, then I see Kagami texts Adrien. Then as I read the text my blood starts to boil.

Kagami's Text:

I didn't hear from you last night, so I hope you're alright. I will pick you up from school today and maybe you and I can go on a date.

As I slam my hands on my desk I start to yell at him.

"Instead of wasting my time by poking into my life, how about focusing on your girlfriend!" Then I storm out and head to my locker. As I take a deep breath, I grab my bag, and head out to the front of the school.

Why did I do that? It's not like I wanted to yell at him, but I just couldn't help it. I know that I told him to make up with her, but going on a date tonight it's just infuriating. What if they go out and he realizes the one that he wants to be with is Kagami? Then they will get married and adopt a hamster! Live happily ever after and have two kids together!

Then just as I am freaking out, the door shuts behind me to the locker room, and Lila pins me against the wall.

"Hello again Marinette, having a bad day? Good." She says while giving an evil grin. She looks different now, and there's something different about her. Then I notice something shining in her blazer. Suddenly she brushes my hair to the side and touches my earrings.

"You know, I've noticed you have nice earrings Marinette. Actually I've never seen you take them off since middle school. I wonder what's so special about them." I quickly push her away from me and I slap her across the face.

"Stay away from me Lila. I don't know what you're doing or why you're back here, but let me make this perfectly clear. If you're here to cause trouble for me or my friends, I won't be sparing you." As I grab my things and brush past her, I can see her suspicious grin staring at me.

Something is off with her, and what was that thing shining in the pocket of her blazer? It seemed oddly familiar, and I have to figure it out or else I feel like this will end badly. As I'm quickly trying to exit, I bump into Luka who catches me.

"Marinette are you alright?" He asks with that warm smile.

"Yes I'm fine." As I try to avoid his gaze, he grabs my chin and lifts it up so I can look at him. No matter how much I try to lie to him, I know that I can't do it.

"Actually no I'm not fine Luka. I'm missing something and I just can't put the pieces together. Then I feel like I hurt someone important to me this morning over a misunderstanding, and I just don't want to lose.." Suddenly he kisses me passionately and then holds me close to him.

"It's alright Marinette, and you don't have to worry about me. I wasn't affected with the Chat noir situation earlier. So let's just forget about it okay? I promise you aren't going to lose me." As much as I want to tell him the truth, I think that would just hurt him even more. So even though I don't want to, I think it my best option right now.

"How about we go get some ice cream and hang out for the day?" He asks. As I agree, he grabs my hand and we ride off on his bike.

Adrien's POV:

While I am in class, I can see Kagami blowing up my phone about some date. I can't believe that Marinette just walked out like that! Seriously she is going to ignore me all day.

Kagami: Adrien did you get my message?

Adrien: Yes Kagami I did. What time do you want to go?

Kagami: I can pick you up after class this afternoon, and we can go get ice cream.

Adrien: I'll be done in a few minutes so meet me outside.

Kagami: Alright I love you.

As I look around for Marinette, I notice she hasn't come back yet. I tap on Alya's shoulder and whisper to her.

"Hey have you heard anything from Marinette?" Then she rolls her eyes at me.

"Did you not listen to her earlier about leaving her alone. She's right Adrien and you know it. You can't just be jealous of her and Luka, and then not understand about Kagami. Anyways she texted me she's on a date right now." Then as the bell rings, I rush out and head to the front of the school to look for her.

Dammit Marinette where the hell are you? As someone taps on my shoulder from behind, I quickly turn around to unfortunately find Kagami.

"Are you ready to go get some ice cream?" Kagami asks.

"Yea I'm ready to go. Let's go." As I get in her car, I just stare out of the window and think about Marinette while she drives.

"Hey where were you last night? When I called you were very short with me."

"I was just with a few friends last night. When you called we were in the middle of something so I had to go. I'm sorry for hanging up on you." As she parks the car, she grabs my hand and stares at me.

"It's alright Adrien. Let's just go get this ice cream and have a good date to make up. Last one to get there pays for the ice cream from Andre." As she runs out the car, I start to chase after her onto the bridge. Then suddenly I get stopped in my tracks, when I see Luka and Marinette in line for Andre's ice cream.
