Chapter One
“Aiden,” Natalie screamed in horror, seeing that her presence was still yet to be noticed.
The puzzled expression on her face gave way to shock as her eyes met the soured look that the door opened up to. Aiden, her husband was on the bed with her best friend, Aria right on top of him, a duvet that revealed part of their naked body thrown over them.
Her lips were tucked into his as she rode him, her waist moving in a rhythmic pattern like she was dancing to a music with his hands strongly wrapped around it and her hands grabbing the bed frame, spluttering sounds from the way they were kissing passionately filling the room.
Jolted by Natalie’s scream, “Where are your manners?” Aria asked with narrowed eyes and a knitted brows, coming off Aiden’s body, “Are you that dumb not to know you have to knock on a door and wait for a response before opening it?” She went as she pulled the duvet to cover herself.
At this point, Natalie felt like a turbulent storm, wild and unruly, she wanted to lash out at Aria for yelling at her in such a rude way undermining the fact that she just caught her in a shameful act, but she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, allowing the burning rage inside her to slip out with the air as she exhaled.
“Aria,” Natalie called slowly, “Aiden,” She went on to call her husband in the same manner, who was by now sitting upright on the bed, his back resting on the bed frame.
“By the way, are you not supposed to be in the hospital?” Aria questioned, “Busy with the series of tests to know why exactly your barren womb has not been able to house a child?” She continued, eyeing Natalie who was frozen to a spot.
“I was about to ask the same question,” Aiden chipped in with a deep husky voice.
“Is that all you both are worried about at this point? Me being in the hospital, trying to run a test on my barren…” Natalie voice trailed off before she could complete her sentence as dredged tears bursted out of her eyes, her voice breaking off as she jerked uncontrollably.
“Yes dear, we all are worried about that and you should also,” Aria replied in a mimicked soft way, bending her head to the side and twisting her lips like a child, trying to act like she cared.
“That should be my burden to bear, not yours, at this point in time your focus should be on how shameless you are, riding another woman’s husband without any sorts of self respect,” Natalie said, shocking herself with the words that just glided out of her mouth and she knows Aria didn’t also see that coming even Aiden because the surprise expression that was obvious on her face as she turned to exchanged looks with Aiden.
Laughing loudly in a hysterical manner, “Did you just talk about self respect? You are the least person to ever say that word,” Aria said sternly when her laughter had died down, getting out of the bed pulling the duvet along with her, leaving Aiden to scramble to hide his nakedness with the pillow.
“You stand right here, claiming a man that brought in another woman to ride him on his matrimonial bed without giving a damn about your feelings to be your husband and you talk about self respect?”
“Come on girl, if there is anyone that lacks self respect here, that person is you because how else can you explain your refusal to stop chasing a man that clearly doesn’t love you, allows his mother to troll you at any given chance she gets and allow his side chick, who happen to be your best friend to talk down on you even after catching them having a hot round of s*x and a man that never stands up for you?” Aria questioned further, taking short steps toward Natalie, while Natalie walked back from her, contempt in her eyes and the urge to slam Aria’s head on the wall growing, so she could feel the pains she was in at the moment
“It is obvious you don’t know your worth,” She smiles slyly, “Oh, I get the fact that you have been a pretty worthless being from the start, so you can’t know any worth,” Aria added.
“How dare you Aria?” Natalie, whose tongue has been tied with grief, finally bursted out trying to slap Her, but Aria was quick to catch her hand in the air.
“The next time you try to raise this weak, filthy hand of yours at me again, that would be the last time you would ever get to use it,” Aria said, pushing Natalie's hand away.
“You know what?” Natalie asked rhetorically, sniffing noisily as she wiped her face with her palm, "I don't have time for this drama,” She added, her breath raspy.
As she was about to turn and walk out of the room, “Not so quick Cinderella,” Aria said, holding her back with her arm, “We are not done talking.”
“I have nothing else to say to you Aria” Natalie mumbled.
“I know, that is why you would keep shut and listen to what I have to say,” Aria replied, a mean look on her face.
“On no condition should what you have seen here get to the ears of any third party, whatever you have seen here is just a broken fragment of your imagination and if you go on to tell anyone about this, it simply means you are laying allegations on us,” Aria paused to turn to Aiden to see if he was in line with what she was saying, when he saw he was nodding his head in agreement, she turned back to face Natalie.
“Laying allegation on someone, especially with issues like this can ruin the ones reputation, and if you dare try it, we would not take it likely with you, I personally will f**k up your whole existence and you will wish desperately to be gone,” Aria stated.
“This is not an empty threat Natalie, I would advise to not toy with it,” She added, pushing Natalie out of the room.
“To hell with both of you,” Natalie yelled with a cracked voice, throwing the rumpled test results she held in her hand since the hospital at Aria before she slammed the door against her face.
“What is that?” Aiden asked curiously as Aria bent down to pick the test result.
“I don't know, it looks like her test result,” Aria replied as she fondled the paper, trying to straighten it.
“What does it say?” He asked further.
“Same old story,” Aria replied laughing, “Barren b***h!” She exclaimed, throwing the paper back on the floor.
“So where were we?” Aria asked, flashing a warm smile at him as she allowed the duvet to drop from her chest.
