Chapter 1
Jaylee POV
I was wandering around the snow covered streets after a long shift at the hospital, just like any other day. I walked the same path as usual, so I saw this billboard everyday. I never paid much attention to it. I really don't know what made the difference today. You can call it a predictive feeling or something like that. But today I decide to stop and take a look.
People were walking by, laughing and talking with each other. But I found myself standing still and staring at the billboard full of missing people posters. Looking at all these posters I began wondering: What happened to these people? Are they still alive? And what about their families and friends? Is there something I can do to help these people? Even if only for one of these people.
As I was looking at the posters one of them especially caught my eye.

In the top right corner of the poster was a picture of a beautiful smiling girl.
So this girl has been missing for two moths already.
At first glance the girl in the picture looks really happy, but if you look closely her eyes seem to be hiding something. What happened to her?
As the snow was getting heavier, I decided to hurry home. Still deep in thoughts I walked the now deserted streets. That girl is just one year older than I am. The whole way home I kept wondering what happened to her and whether she ever will be found.
After half an hour I was finally home. I quickly put on some dry, comfy clothes and decided to just order some food. I didn't really feel like cooking for just one person.
After my mother passed away, my father took off. I haven't spoken to him in years. I don't have any siblings, so I'm on my own. I don't really mind though. I have great friends, who are always there for me. I don't want people around me who don't really want to be there.
After finishing my diner and cleaning, I took a long hot shower. I was getting ready to go to sleep, when my phone alerted me to a new message.
CHAT REQUEST FROM CHRIS.
I don't know this person. While laying in bed I was considering whether or not I should accept the request.
I've been staring at my phone screen for the past ten minutes. Still considering whether to accept the request or not.
After five more minutes my curiosity got the best of me and I tapped the accept button on my screen.
~~~~~~~~~Groupchat~~~~~~~~~
Chris: Hello, are you there?
Me: I'm sorry, do I know you?
Chris: I don't know...
I've been thinking about how to say this, but no matter how I put this... It'll sound crazy.
Wait... Please don't go.. I have to add the others first.
Chris added Ruby, Dahlia, Jillian, Zack, Vince
Dahlia: Hello
Zack: Hey
Vince: You guys seriously went through with this? Amazing idea people.
Chris: Vince, just shut up please.
Me: Uhmm, sorry guys. I'm really confused. Who are you all?
Ruby: Oh, is that him?
Vince: Seems that way.
Chris: All right, shut up guys.
I'm sorry, but i have to ask. How do you know Ivy Clark?
Ivy clark? That name sounded really familiar to me. Where do I know this name from?
Then it hit me. The missing girl!
Me: Do you mean the missing girl?
Chris: Yes.
Dahlia: That is my sister. What did you do to her?!
Me: What do you mean " what did I do to her" ? I don't even know her. I only know her name from the missing person poster.
Chris: Ivy is my girlfriend. She disappeared almost three months ago.
Me: I'm sorry to hear that, but what does that have to do with me?
Chris: I got a text from her phone last night, containing only your number.
Vince: Let's mention that the phone disappeared with her...
Chris: Yes, so I tried calling her right away. The phone was answered, but nobody said anything.
Ruby: Please think really hard, do you really not know her?
Me: I'm sorry. I really don't know her and I don't know why she had my number.
Vince: See guys, I told you. This is going nowhere. I'm done. You should have left this with the police.
Vince left the group
Jillian: I'm sorry guys. I think Vince is Right.
Jillian left the group
Zack: Well......
Ruby: I don't know what else we can do now.
Dahlia: This can't be real
Dahlia left the group
Zack: And then there were only three
Uh four
Considering Mr. X
Or Ms X, I'm sorry
You should be careful with something like this nowadays.
Me: Haha, Ms. X please.
Or you can just call me Jaylee.
Zack: Hello Jaylee! :)
My name is Zack, I'm really sorry about our rude behavior. We aren't always like that you know.
Ruby: Zack, what are you doing?
Zack: I don't know....
I just thought that.....
I waited for Zack to finish what he was going to say, but it seemed like that wasn't going to happen. I sighed, already lightly regretting what I was going to say.
Me: You want me to help, don't you?
Zack: Well yeah... I mean, there has to be a reason why they sent us your number.
I think it'll really helpful if you stayed.
Me: All right. I'll do my best.
Zack: Great!
I'll have to go know. Early day tomorrow.
Chris: I'll tell you more tomorrow.
Me: All right. Talk to you guys later.
I put my phone on the nightstand and lay down on my bed. My thoughts ran wild and I had so many questions. Will I be able to help those guys? How did that missing girl get my number? Do I really not know her? After an hour of staring at the ceiling and thinking about the weird conversation, I finally fell asleep.
