Chapter 27

We eat and talk about random things. I find it refreshing seeing that my servants are talking normally and without fear. Once we finish I look around as Claude and Dave take the trash away. I notice that a few people are looking at us and I also see someone taking pictures of us. My eyes stay on the man and he begins to walk away quickly. I say to Angela, “Get back to the car and wait for me for 10 minutes.” She looks at me confused but she nods. I quickly walk towards the restrooms but as a few people walk past me I quickly dash through them and begin to look for the man. 

I found him hiding in a*****e and when he saw the group walking away he quickly got out to follow them. I had bought a cap and was wearing that as I followed him. He kept taking pictures and then he noticed that someone was missing. He got closer and started counting when I grabbed him by the shoulder as I said, “Were you looking for me?” His eyes widened but he did not scream. I grabbed his camera and said as I looked through it, “Why are you taking pictures of us?” He kept his mouth shut so I said with my crimson eyes staring right into his eyes, “What are you hiding from me?” He gulped loudly then opened his mouth and I saw his tongue was missing. I felt pain and pity to see that he was hurt in such a way. I sighed then said, “Come with me.” He shook his head and I said, “Is someone threatening you?” He didn’t reply or gesture but I knew the answer from his facial expression. I sighed then said, “I am not supposed to do this for anyone that is not a loyal servant of mine but I think you need this more than anyone.” He looked at me scared and I said as I smiled, “Give me your hand.” He looked at my hand then placed his own on it. I quickly turned it so his palm was facing me and I made a cut with my fingernail. I did the same to my palm and placed it on his. I looked into his eyes and I said, “I, Princess Alice, share my blood with you. This is not a pact but when you are ready to meet me again come to the palace and I will let you choose to make a pact.” He looked at me shocked and I added, “This will also make you stronger and you will be able to talk again.” His eyes widened and I saw him begin to tremble but I reminded him, “I grant you this power for now but the moment you do something good or bad with my powers I will know.” He nods and I say, “When you want to talk just go to the castle and ask for me.” He nods again and I hand him the camera before leaving. 

I got in the car and Claude said, “Is everything okay?” I nod then say, “I had to use the bathroom.” He looks at me suspiciously but just nods before driving away. I was sitting next to Angela and she asked as she got close to me, “Are you okay?” I look at her then say, “I didn’t think being away from my mate would be this hard.” She smiles and says, “You will see him soon.” I smile realizing that I will see him soon and hopefully announce our marriage. She giggles as she sees my blush and Lux hugs her and me at the same time. I begin to laugh which causes Angela as well as Lux to laugh and Claude smiles as he drives. We arrive at the castle and Hanna greets us as we get out. She says, “Welcome back. I have fixed both rooms and your mother is resting at the moment, Princess Alice and Angela.” We nod and I say, “We brought some clothes so we will go fix them and we don’t need dinner.” She nods then some maids come out and begin to take our bags out. I sighed and I said, “Thank you, please take the women close to my room and the male clothes to the other room.” They nod and leave. I say to Angela, “Let’s go see what you like.” She looks at me nervously then says, “I’m not sure.” I smile as I say, “Lux will let you know which ones suit you better.” Lux looks at me then nods confidently. I hide my laugh but Angela blushes and I begin laughing. 

We go to my room and I begin to take the clothes I picked out for Angela. She looks at the pile and I say as I hand her the first set of clothes, “Put these on.” She takes them and looks around, then I point to a door and say, “That’s the bathroom.” She walks in and Lux waits by my side. When she comes out she is wearing jeans and a  navy t-shirt. I say, “Quick turn.” She blushed but did as I say. I say, “I like this look.” Lux nodded and I began to laugh seeing Angela blushing. I hand her the next set and she gets changed. About an hour later she has put on all the clothes I got her and she says, “I never noticed you knew my size.” I smile as I say, “I actually chose everything in the same size as me so if you ever like something I wear you can use it too.” She shook her head as she said, “I actually love these clothes you chose for me. They are so comfortable and I really like them.” Lux got up and walked up to her then said, “Pretty.” I smiled then said, “She looks beautiful, can you say that Lux?” He smiles as he says, “Beautiful.” I laugh as I see Angela turn bright red. I look at my watch and say, “We have 2 hours left so let's get changed then we can go train.” Angela nodded, then I said as I grabbed a pair of leggings and a  t-shirt, “You should wear this for training.” She took them and got changed quickly. 

We walked across the hall to the other room and I said as I opened it, “I ordered this room to be set up for a couple so it has enough room for both of your clothes.” Angela was bright red again and Lux nodded. I said as I began to pile the clothes on the bed, “I made sure all your clothes are dark. You have a bad sense of style but later I’ll teach you more, my little son.” Lux frowned at me but he couldn’t hide the grin that was on his face. I handed him clothes and he began to get dressed. We spent an hour seeing him wear all his clothes and by the time we were done Angela had arranged her clothes in the closet as well as Lux’s. I said as I picked out his training outfit that matched Angela’s, “I’ll go get dressed and we can meet in front of my room in 10 minutes.” They nodded and I went back to my room. 

As I got dressed I suddenly felt a sudden sadness and pain. I quickly walked to my balcony and went outside. I looked around but saw no one but I felt like there was someone out there waiting for me. I returned to my room and finished getting dressed but my phone rang. I picked up and James said, “He came to see you today.” I sighed then said, “How long ago?” He said, “Maybe a minute or two ago.” I sighed then said, “What did he say?” He stayed silent and I said nervously, “Is he mad?” He finally said, “No, he wanted to let you know that his grandmother passed away and that he is going to be helping his father with a sudden attack on a pack that they are allied with.” I sighed then said, “What else?” He sighed then said, “He said that he wants you but he will be made Alpha in a few weeks and he will have to marry someone else for the wellbeing of his people.” I smiled then said softly, “Don’t worry, he will marry me in the end.” James sighed then said, “Oh thank god, he is a scary guy when you are not with him.” I laughed then said, “Were you able to give him my number?” He said softly, “No, when he saw you weren’t here he left as soon as he told me that. He looked really disappointed and sad when it wasn’t you that answered the door. I saw how his smile and happiness shattered in front of my eyes.” I sighed again then said, “I will make it up to him when I see him.” He said softly, “I want to go with you too.” I said, “You have a mate and this fight will be difficult.” He said, “I know and I love her but you are like family and I will help you, I also want to see him next time and make sure you don’t hurt him or mess it up.” I say surprised, “I didn’t realize you fell for him?” He laughed then said, “I want to make sure that you two are together. Being with my mate, I realized that if I feel like this towards her than for him it must be ten times worse.” I said confused, “What do you mean by that?” He said as he sighed, “I was doing research about werewolves and they are all about their mates and if they are apart from them it drives them crazy or kills them.”
