Chapter 26

I turn to look at my mother when my phone rings. I take it out of my pocket and see it’s James calling me. I pick up and say, “Is everything okay?” He says as he sighs loudly, “Erick came to see you but punched me when I told him you weren’t here.” I sigh then say, “Feel free to kick his ass the next time you see him.” He added, “I would have fought him but Jane was here so I just let it be. She was really upset when she saw him hit me.” I smiled and said, “Are you trying to tell me how much she loves you?” My mother turned towards me and I said to her, “James found his mate too.” She said, “Congratulate him for me.” I nod and he says, “Tell her thank you.” I say to her, “He says thank you.” She nods and I say, “I have a new sister and Lux happens to be her mate.” He says surprised, “Did your mom remarry?” I say as I laugh, “No, we adopted her but she looks kinda like me.” He laughs as he says, “You probably forced her to like you.” I gasp and say, “She liked me before that.” He laughs again and I say, “Have you seen him?” He stops laughing and says, “Not yet.” I sigh, then say, “Keep me updated.” He says, “Of course.” I hang up the phone as soon as he says that. 

I sigh then say, “I miss him already.” Angela smiled and my mother said, “Tell James to bring his mate back with him.” I look at her with a playful glare and Angela says, “She was talking about her mate.” I blush then sigh as I nod. My mother gets up and walks to me to give me a hug. I sigh again but then say as I turn to Lux, “We need to train you in hand to hand combat as well as teach you a bigger vocabulary.” He frowns and I say as I walk to Angela, “You two will have the same classes and I will train you as well.” My mother quickly says, “Be nice to them, you tend to get carried away when you start training.” I smile then say, “Of course, I have to make sure these two are ready before I have to leave.” She gave me a confused look then I said with a bright smile, “For when I leave to be with my mate.” Her expression softened then said, “Yes, that’s true.” 

I take a deep breath before saying, “Tonight we are doing some training.” Angela nodded but Lux frowned at me. I knew what he wanted but I was not about to let him mate with Angela yet. I looked at the clock and said as I stretched, “We have to go shopping for all of us.” Angela looked at me and I knew she didn’t like the idea of going shopping but I said, “As a Princess, you will need to have different kinds of clothes and that luxury is one I don’t like myself but we have to do it for our loving mother that likes to see us in all kinds of clothes.” My mother looked at us and added, “That also applies to my daughters’ mates.” I smile and say, “Let’s go.” Angela nodded and Lux followed her. I said to my butler Claude, “Get the car ready and bring 3 other servants in an additional car.” He nodded and left. We walked outside and got into the first car.

We arrived at a mall in the main city and as we entered I saw many people looking at us. I sighed then said, “Angela, Lux and Claude, please keep close to me.” They kept close to me and as we entered the first store a woman walked up to us and said to me, “Princess Alice, what a nice surprise to see you back here.” I look at her then say, “Please try to keep my presence as quiet as possible.” She smiled and said, “I’m sorry.” I smile at her then say, “Where are the male clothes?” She looked at me confused but pointed to a section and I said to Angela, “Angela, take Lux to find clothes while I look for ours.” She looked at me nervously and I added, “Come on, I won’t take long.” She sighs as she nods and they begin to walk towards the section the woman had pointed at. I turn to Claude and say, “Make sure my sister and her mate are comfortable.” He nods and follows them. I look at the woman and say, “Can you provide me with two carts?” She smiles as she says, “Please wait here.” I nod and look around as she walks away.

She returns with two male employees and the carts. I say as I see the guys checking me out, “Follow me.” They nodded and followed me. I walk to the woman’s section and begin to place clothes in the carts. It took me about 30 minutes to have all the clothes I needed from them for both of us. As I looked at the carts I said, “Take these to the register and have them bagged, please.” They nodded and left. I walked to the men’s section and saw Angela picking out clothes for Lux but they were very nervous picking out clothes. I smiled as I saw them and I said to Claude, “Go get us a cart for his clothes.” He smiled and left. I walked up to them and said, “You guys should be more worried about how it looks on Lux rather than the price.” Angela said as she looked at me, “All these clothes are too expensive.” I smiled then said, “Of course they are. We are royalty and as such we have to dress as such. “ She frowned and I said, “I know this change is too sudden for you and I can’t say I am used to it but I will tell you that we own all the stores in this mall and different branches in the human world.” She looked at me shocked then said, “You do.” I smile as I say, “As my sister, this is also yours.” She looked at me then said, “Why?” I hugged her and said in her ear, “Because you deserve all these good things after the horrible way that those people treated you.” She began to cry and Lux walked up to me then took her from me. I let him comfort her while I looked for clothes for him.

We had both cars full of clothes and we had spent 4 hours in the mall. We decided to get food while we were there since we were going to train in a few hours and we still had to go back unpack and get ready for training. I said to Claude, “Bring the other 3 guys and have lunch with us.” He looked at me nervously before saying, “We can wait until we get home.” I looked at him then said, “Please don’t argue with me.” He sighed then left. He returned with the other guys and I said as we stood in front of a food stall, “Pick anything you want.” They looked at me nervously then Angela said, “She is trying to show you her appreciation for doing all these things for us.” I looked at her then I nodded as I said, “You all get paid for your hard work but this is a bit more than your usual work load and I appreciate that you do this for us.” They smiled and they nodded before starting to order. I smiled then Angela said, “You need to learn how to communicate with people.” I blush as I say, “I find humans are more easy to talk to than our kind.” She shakes her head then says, “It’s difficult for you to break through the fear and respect they have for you as their Princess.” I nod then she adds, “We are the same as humans just that we are stronger.” I laugh as I pay for our meals.
