Chapter 25

I looked at him surprised and I said as I saw him turn back into Lux, “Well, he wasn’t lying.” Angela nodded and said, “Your son is my mate and I didn’t even know it.” I rubbed my eyes then massaged my temples as I said, “I have to look into this but there is very limited knowledge about dragons.” Angela grabbed my hand and said, “I never knew that dragon’s could turn human.” I nodded then said, “Come on we have to get back before mother gets worried.” She nodded  and we walked towards Lux. 

He looked at us and I said as I began to climb his tail, “You have a lot of explaining to do.” He hung his head but nodded after a while. We were now secure on top of him and Angela was fidgeting a lot. We began to ascend and once we were in the air I walked towards Angela and asked, “Are you okay?” She nodded and then said, “Why couldn’t I tell he was my mate earlier?” I shook my head and she added, “Now that I know I find him much more attractive even in this form.” I felt the sudden burst of joy from Lux as he heard her. I chuckled then said, “I wish I could tell you why but he seems to feel it too.” She looked at me then smiled as she said, “Thank you for your support.” I nodded and we sat next to each other as we went home.

When we arrived I saw that there were horses and soldiers outside the castle. I quickly jumped midway down and landed in front of the castle door. The soldiers quickly drew their swords and I said as I looked at one soldier that was near me, “What are you all doing here?” As if on queue General Sky says, “Princess Alice, we came to see you.” I look at him then sigh as I notice that there was no danger. He smiled and said, “Sorry for not informing you earlier.” I shook my head and said, “Sorry, I’m very overprotective since what happened with Elder Richard.” He nodded and said when Angela walked next to us, “Who is this beautiful woman?” I laugh as I see Lux’s tail come between them. I say as I see Angela blushing, “She’s my new sister.” General Sky nodded and Lux turned back to human and quickly went to hug Angela. I covered my mouth as I tried to refrain from laughing and said, “He’s Lux, her mate.” Sky smiled seeing how I was holding my laughter and Angela said, “You can laugh.” I let out a loud laughter as I saw her bright red face and Lux’s possessive hold on her. 

Sky gave her a sympathetic look then said, “I hear dragon’s are very possessive mates.” I look at him then say, “You know about dragons?” He nodded and said, “An old friend of mine is mated to a female dragon.” I looked at him and gave him a glare then said, “Why didn’t you say anything when you found out I had a dragon?” He smiled then said, “I thought he would tell you.” I shook my head and said, “I don’t know anything about him.” He nodded his head and said, “My friend says that they usually live as humans and change only when they need to but when they find their mate it is better to be in human form because it is easier to detect their mate.” I nod then Angela says, “Is that why I couldn’t tell he was my mate until he turned human?” He nodded and I asked, “Does your friend live far away?” Sky shook his head and said, “They are actually visiting me at the moment so they are at my home.” I nodded and then said, “I could go see them tomorrow if you could ask them later, if it is okay to do so?” He nodded, then said, “I will ask them and call you.” I nod then he adds, “Let’s get down to business now.” I nod and he says, “I used your dungeon and I must say I find your torturing methods much more interesting and effective than our traditional ones.” I smile then say, “Don’t let my mother hear that.” She said as she walked into view, “Too late.” I looked at her with a guilty look then she said as she looked at Angela, “I’m glad you found your mate, sweety.” Angela smiles and blushes hearing her words. I smile and say as I point to the man hugging her possessively, “That’s Lux.” She looks at him surprised then says, “I didn’t know he could shift.” I nod but say as I see everyone standing in front of the door, “Let’s get inside.” My mother nods then we all walk inside towards the living room. 

Lux was only wearing some torn shorts and he looked uncomfortable as he walked inside the castle. I said to Angela, “Take him to the room across from mine, have one of the maids get him some clothes.” She nodded and said softly to Lux, “Let’s go get you dressed.” He nodded and they left. I was smiling remembering how it felt to have my mate with me. My mother said, “You still have a pending conversation with me.” I blushed then said, “Later.” She nodded, then asked Sky, “What have you found out, General Sky?” He cleared his throat then said, “It seems that Richard was not acting alone. He had a partner but we haven’t found out who he is. The prisoner seems to not know the name of the partner but he knew that they wanted to go on a full war against all werewolves.” I sigh then say, “My mother agreed to a treaty with a pack.” Sky looks at me then says, “Do you want us to invade?” I shake my head then say, “He is not a bad person.” My mother looks at me then says, “If they are after us then it must be an enemy to them and they can lead us to the partner.” I sigh as I say again, “He’s a good person.” 

They look at me surprised and I add, “I’ve met him and his father. They are good people and his father wants to make a wedding pact in order to make sure we all agree to the pact but he had no idea that I am the Princess he wanted to meet, when he told me about his idea.” My mother nods then says, “I can’t believe that there are werewolves that want to make a difference and are nice to vampires.” I smile then say, “I don’t think he will agree to the wedding pact until he sees me.” Sky looks at me confused and I say, “He is my mate.” My mother smiles then says, “I wanted to know why you were defending them so earnestly.” I smile then say, “He is someone different even for a werewolf.” 

Sky smiles as he says, “I am in charge of arranging a small group of guards to go with the two Elders.”  I say as I look at him, “Angela will be playing as me for that meeting, I will attend as a guard and I'm one hundred percent sure that the partner will attack while we are there.” Sky nods then says, “I think so too.” My mother says, “We need to discuss this with Angela and Lux as well.” I nod and Angela says, “Discuss what?” I sigh and say as I look at Lux, “I want you to act as me for a pact agreement with a certain pack of wolves.” Lux got in front of Angela and I added, “I will be there and that means that as her mate you too will be there but in human form.” He glared at me and I said as I got up, “You are such a bad son.” His glare softened but he was still protecting Angela. I said as I walked away, “He is also my mate.” 

Angela turned to me and said, “He’s the mate you were telling me about?” I nod then she says as she moves away from Lux, “Yes, I will do it.” Lux turns to her and shakes his head as he says, “Mine.” I smile and Angela says, “I’ll be acting like the princess not getting married to him.” I laugh as I say, “I’m very possessive about him too.” Lux frowns but decides to not keep fighting us.
