Chapter 40

 He took a deep breath then said, "I can barely smell his scent but I'm guessing you too haven't seen each other in a while." I nodded and he said, "His scent is a bit familiar, who is he, if it's not too rude to ask?" I said as I grabbed a fried squid, "He's Alpha Sebastian Blackwood." He looked at me surprised then said, "He has been searching for his mate for many years. We all thought he would settle for a pact marriage." I smiled then said as I finished the piece of squid I had in my mouth, "He doesn't know I am the pact marriage he's trying to runaway from." They all looked at me in shock but before I could say anything my phone rang. I quickly picked up and said, "Hi, handsome." They all smiled and he said, "How far away are you?" I looked at them then said, "I'm here already." He said, "I'll go get you, where are you?" I looked around and David said, "She's at Club Devine." Sebastian said, "Who was that?" I bit my lip and gave a playful glare to David and said, "He's an acquaintance that works here and let me inside the club since it's closed." I heard him sigh then said, "I'm going to go get you now." I said cheerfully, "Okay." 

They laughed once I hung up and David said, "I hope I didn't get you in trouble." I smiled then said, "HE could never hurt me." Bruce had packed the sides and said, "Here, for later." He handed me two bottles of wine and I said teasingly, "Is this what you do when I'm not here?" He looked scared then David said, "We only do this for you." I nodded then said, "Thanks for being yourself and treating me normal. You are one of my very few friends and I want to keep it like that." David nodded then said, "I'll be whatever you need." I hugged him then said to Jake, "Come in, let's go before he tries to break the door down." They all looked ta me horrified and I laughed. We began to walk to the door and as we arrived I saw the guard bow and say, "Sorry for earlier, Princess." I said, "No problem, just don't let it happen again." He nodded then there was a loud knock on the door. The guard opened the visor and said, "We are closed." The scent of Sebastian hit me and I said as I walked next to the guard, "He's here for me. I will be leaving now." The guard nodded and opened the door. 

Sebastian glared at the guard and I said, "Be nice." He looked at me and hugged me tightly. I was about to wrap my arms around his neck when I felt the bracelets. I very carefully placed my hands on his back and made sure my bracelets did not make contact with his skin. He said as he snuggled into the crook of my neck, "I missed you." I said softly, "We should get going." He chuckled then said, "You're right." He let go of me and was about to take my hand when I said, "You shouldn't take my hand yet." He frowned and I said as I lifted my hands, "I have to take these off first." He looked at my wrists then said confused, "Why are you wearing silver?" Jake chuckled then I said, "I was told I'm too strong." He frowned again and said, "You're perfect." I laughed then said as I took one bracelet off, "Thank you." He took my hand and we mad our way to my jeep and his SUV next to my car. I said, "We will follow you." He frowned then said, "I will be driving you." Jake scratched the back of his head as he said, "Sorry, as her guard I have to drive her." As he had finished that sentence Sebastian was glaring at him. Jake gulped and I said, "Give him the keys, you can ride in the back." Sebastian as he pointed to the blood man leaning on his car, "You can go with my Beta Klive and I will drive my mate." I covered my mouth to hide the smile I had. Jake looked at me expecting me to fight his decision but I said as I took the keys form him, "You should go with him." He sighed but did as I said. 

Sebastian grabbed the keys from me and said as he walked me to the passenger side, "Why do you have to have a guard?" He opened my door and I said, "I'm a Royal General, what do you expect?" I got in then he leaned in and kissed me. I felt complete then Klive said, "We have to go Sebastian. We are going to be late." Sebastian sighed and I said, "He's right." He frowned then said, "I need more time with you." I smiled and said, "We should hurry then." He smiled as he closed the door. He got in the drivers seat and turned the car on before grabbing my hand. I felt happy and complete as we drove hand in hand. He said softly, "What did you tell the Princess?" I looked at him then asked innocently, "What do you mean?" He smiled and said, "You have been gone for a long time and then you decide to go on a trip?" I smiled then  said, "I didn't really tell her where I was going." He smiled then said, "How long will you be with me?" I bit my lip and said, "I'll see after tonight." He smiled then said, "I have to make tonight amazing then?"  I laughed then said, "Not really." He smiled then said, "I really want to mark you." I placed my free hand over my left shoulder and neck area. He glanced at me then said with a smile, "I will mark you there one day." I said with a smile, "So will I." He smirked and I noticed we were entering the forest and I said as I looked around, "It's very calm here." He looked around then said, "It usually is but if you are uninvited then you will be in a lot of danger." I nodded and said, "Where is your pack?" He smiled and said, "We are located a few hours away form here." I nodded then said, "You will take me there?" He smiled and said, "When ever you want to go, just say the word and we will go." I nodded  and after a few minutes we came to a clearing and I could see some werewolves running around. When they noticed our vehicles they began to run towards us but Sebastian opened his window and put his hand out making them all stop running and make a pathway.
