Chapter 33

Alice:

The doctor examined him and said, “I don’t know his past physical history but upon my examination I can see that he was being starved, beaten and has many fractures.” I nodded and then said, “What can we do to help him?” He looked at me with a smile then said, “He needs more food and I will prescribe him some supplements to help him get better quicker. I’m not sure when he will wake up but I have him on an IV for the time being.” I say as I look inside the room, “When does it need to be changed?” He smiled then said, “I will have one of my nurses come here to tend to him.” I look at him then say as I look back at the sleeping boy, “If she doesn’t make it in time leave a bag so I can change it.” He looked surprised and I added, “I was living in the human world for a while so I learned quite a lot about the medical field.” He smiled then said, “You are full of surprises, Princess.” I smiled and he left me two bags before he left. I sighed as I looked at the boy again and said softly as I sat next to him, “You suffered enough.” 

I went to my room to take another shower and change into clean clothes before returning to the boys room. Angela and Lux were coming out of their room when I was coming out too. Angela said, “Hello, did you rest well?” I smiled then said, “Not really, I managed to sleep a few hours and now I have to go see a sick guest.” She looked at me confused but worried and she followed me back to the boy’s room. I opened the door and he was still sleeping. I sighed remembering his hardships and Angela said, “Who is he?” I said softly, “I met him yesterday when we were shopping. He was taking pictures of us and when I confronted him he didn’t say anything.” She nodded as she said, “He was the reason you told me to wait in the car with the others?” I nodded and she said as she looked at me, “But something else is going on.” I sighed then said, “My mate is upset with me.” She gasped and said as she hugged me, “It’s okay, we will make it up to him on the day of his ceremony.” I nodded but I was wondering if he would even take me back.

Lux interrupted our hug when he walked up to the bed and lifted the blanket. The boy quickly opened his eyes and looked at us scared. I smiled at him and said, “Do you remember me?” He nodded and I added, “He is my son Lux and his mate, my sister Angela.” He looked at them and I said, “Do you remember what happened or how you came here?” He began to cry as he nodded again. I sat next to him as he hugged me and cried bitterly. I felt my heartbreak for him and I said, “It’s okay.” He cried for a while before he calmed down again. I said once he was calm, “I will be taking care of you for the time being. You and I still have a pending discussion but I want it to happen once you feel better.” He nodded and then said, “Thank you. If it hadn’t been for you I think I would be dead too.” I smiled sadly as I asked, “How old are you?” He smiled sadly and said, “I just turned 85.” I sighed then said, “You are so young and have experienced so many hardships.” He stayed silent and Angela added, “If you need to talk you can always talk with either of us.” Lux hugged her before going up to him and patting his head. I smiled and Angela said, “He’s actually very nice even though he looks scary.” He smiled and I said, realizing that I had no idea what his name was, “What’s your name?” He smiled as he said, “My name is Darren.” I smiled and said, “Welcome to our home, Darren.” He said as tears began to roll, “Thank you.” I nodded and Angela said to me, “Go do whatever you need to do. We will stay with him.” Lux nodded and I said, “Thank you.” I walked out of the room and went back to my room to get my phone before heading out to see General Sky. 

As I grabbed my phone I saw the screen of my phone turn on. I looked at it and saw I had 50 missed calls and 25 text messages. I sighed as I unlocked my phone and I began to read his messages. He wrote:

I’m sorry for the way I reacted when we spoke. I’m usually a very calm and composed person but when it comes to you, my mate, I tend to lose my control. I wanted to tell you that I will also do all I can to not go through with the marriage but if she does agree I want you to know that I love you and ONLY YOU! If I have to marry her I will but I will never be near her because you are my soulmate and I will always be in love with ONLY YOU. I need you to understand that I don’t want to do this but for the wellbeing of my people and the future of all werewolves I will do what I have to. I don’t regret finding you. I just wished that you hadn’t left me like you did. I also wanted to tell you about my grandmother’s passing and I received the letter you left me. I could feel your love as you wrote it and I could also feel the pain from leaving me. I understand it wasn’t an easy decision and that you did it for your mother, since she is alone now. I’m so proud to have you as my mate and I wish I could have you here with me in my pack so they could see how you will be a great Luna to them in the future. ‘By the way a Luna is what we call the mate of any Alpha.’ I really wanted you here with me and I will try to make you my wife but if that doesn’t happen I will have you by my side as my Luna. Please pick up your phone next time or reply to my messages, I’m worried and want to know if you are okay?

I dried some of my tears as I finish reading his message and I replied quickly saying:

I’m sorry I hung up like I did. I really wanted to hear your voice because I really missed you a lot. I can’t believe I fell for you in less than a week and now that we have been apart I come to realize that I love you too. I will speak with the Princess and I will try my best to make her realize what you mean to me. I don’t want anyone but me by your side and if you want me to be your Luna I will do my best. I love you, Sebastian.

I sent the reply and in a few seconds I received a reply:

I’m so happy to hear your feelings. I hope that one day you will be able to say that to my face.

I smiled and decided to call him. As soon as the first ring came he picked up and said, “Hi!” I giggled as I said, “Hi.” He took a deep breath and said, “I’m sorry about my reaction earlier.” I quickly said, “It’s okay, I’m sure it was just because you missed me a lot.” I heard him chuckle and he said, “I love you with all my being.” I smiled widely and said, “I love you too.” He sighed and said, “You have no idea what your voice and those words do to me.” I giggled again and said, “Your Alpha ceremony is in 3 weeks, right?” He said surprised, “Yes, how did you know?” I said with a smile, “I heard the Princess speaking about it with her mother.” He said, “Oh, so you’re close to them?” I say as I get up from my bed, “Not really but I was discussing security with them and my partner when the conversation about your ceremony came up.” He said, “Do you think she will agree to a marriage between you and I?” I once again wanted to tell him that I was the one he was going to marry no matter what but once again I controlled myself and I replied sadly, “I’m not sure.” He sighed and said, “How’s your partner? Is she a good partner?” I smiled and said, “He is a good partner.” He paused and said, “You have a male partner?” I said hesitantly, “Yes, is that a problem?” He asked more seriously, “How old is he?” I said softly, “He’s over four hundred years old and has a mate.” He said as I heard a low sigh, “Why are you partnered with a male?” I said as I laughed, “Because all the girls are afraid of me.” He chuckled then said after he cleared his voice, "I actually have an invitation for you." I smiled and said, "What the invitation?" He said , "I want to invite you to a Luna and Alpha ceremony of a close fiend."
