Chapter 17

Sebastian:

As we got closer I could hear the growling and smell the blood. We immediately began to asses the scene and I began attacking. I was going through the rouges easily. They were very unorganized but they were attacking in pairs so that was tricky. Jon and I teamed up on all the rouges and so did the rest of my warriors. We managed to kill them off and rescue the hostages. As I immobilized the last rogue  and turned back Laura ran to me. She hugged me as she began to cry. I froze but was quickly pulled by Jon as he glared at her. She looked frightened then he said, "You need to stay away from Alpha Sebastian, he has found his mate." I felt bad that he was being this mean but all of a sudden she looked at him with surprise. She was looking at him with love and confusion. Jon turned around and said, "A she-wolf that throws herself to an Alpha for his position is not worth my time." He looked at me with anger and hurt but gave me shorts as he walked away. I looked at her sympathetically then said to everyone, "Those of you that are not injured please help those injured while we make our way back to the pack house." They all nodded and began helping each other to walk. As we got closer some of my warriors brought the SUVs and helped put those that were in bad condition in it while the others continued to walk back. 

As we arrived to the pack house I saw Alpha John sitting by the stairs looking around worried. I walked up to him then said, "We were able to get them back." He looked at me relieved then got up as he said, "Where is my daughter?" We looked around but my eyes caught Jon walking towards us. He said as he walked up to me, "Alpha, we placed the rouge in the interrogation cell." I nod then Alpha John asks, "Have you seen my daughter?" He looked around then said, "No, last I saw she was making her way over here." I looked at them then began to mind link all my warriors, 'Look for Laura, Alpha John's daughter.' Jon looked at me then said, "I'll go look for her too." I nodded as I sighed and said through mind-link to him, 'We need to talk about her being your mate.' He looked at me side ways before continuing to walk. 

After an hour of searching Jon returned with a crying Laura. I sighed as her father ran to her and hugged her. I looked around and saw that most of the injured were now bandaged and all others that had minor injuries were healed. Jon walked up to me and said, "Can we have a word?" I nod as I follow him. He says, "I talked to her and expressed how I feel about what she did to you." I looked at him confused as he continued, "You might not have thought it a big deal because you have a mate that has accepted you but I was hurt by the fact she threw herself at you even though she knew you had a mate." I stay silent as he says, "I haven't rejected her but I'm not sure if I want her if she is only interested in the position someone holds." I sigh as I say, "I can't tell you much because my mate does not like me being an Alpha or a werewolf for that matter but she has accepted it slowly. I think you two should get to know each other first and maybe you can see who she really is not base your view on her because she made a mistake." He looked at me and said, "Thank you, Alpha, you seem to know best." I replied with a sad look, "I don't know best but I think you two should give each other a chance just like my mate and I did." He smiled then said, "Thank you, I think your advise is the best at this time." I nod as he walks back to where Alpha John and his daughter were. 

I had managed to make arrangements for all the werewolves that were left to have a place to sleep with the help of the Beta Alex. Alex said as he looked at hos clipboard, "We lost a lot of warriors but managed to keep most of the pack safe. I feel like this is thanks to you and the training you were doing with us for the past weeks." I looked at him as I said, "I only simulated some situations and told you guys how you should deal with them. In this case, I feel that it was all you doing the fighting and planning." He gave me a soft smile as he said, "I lost a son today but I feel like I would have lost my family if you had not taught us what you did. Thank you." I wasn't sure what to say so I just gave him a nod. Jon walked up to me as he said, "Alpha Sebastian, please go rest. I will see to anything else that is pending." I nod as I say, "Thank you, all that is left to do is to set patrols for the border." He nods as he says, "I'm on it." I pat his shoulder as I walk past him and into the pack house to the room designated to me. As I walk in I quickly take a shower before getting ready to sleep. As I lay on the bed I look at my phone expecting to see a message form my sweet mate but I find nothing. I sigh and look at the time, it was about to be 2 AM. I was debating on calling her when sleep took over. 

Alice:

I was traveling alone but no one bothered me. I was now waiting for the last train before I arrived at the outer limits to my land. I was waiting when I saw my black hair flowing in the wind. I grabbed a strand very softly, “This will be gone soon.” It had been 2 days since I had left and I was already missing him. I found myself sighing constantly and thinking of him. I pushed my sadness to the back of my mind then thought, ‘Just a few more hours and I will be home.’ The train arrived and I went in.

I arrived at my destination in a few hours. I was in the outer limits and as I began my journey on foot I let my natural white hair take over. As I walked towards the entrance to the main gate I noticed that there were no guards. I searched but saw no one. I walked to the gate and saw it was wide open. I entered and I saw the dead bodies. I rushed to one and examined it immediately. The guard was dead for about 15 minutes so I knew the attack had just happened. I quickly made my way to the main tower and I opened it. I slowly walked inside but found no one there. The main line was destroyed so I grabbed my new phone and dialed my mother’s number. She picked up quickly then said, “Hello?” I sighed with relief hearing her voice then I said, “Send a group of guards to the Gate. I just arrived and found the guards dead.” She quickly said, “Lawrence, send a group of guards to the Gate. Alice just arrived and found them dead.” I heard Lawrence start shouting orders then my mother said, “Don’t do anything unnecessary.” I sighed then said, “I will do what I need to do.” She sighed then said to Lawrence, “Make sure they get there soon. She will follow the trail and if she finds them they will be dead.” I smiled hearing her say that and I said, “I’ll be there soon.” I hung up and began to follow the trail.
