“It just doesn’t make sense… I mean, why would he lie about something so important,” I muttered, mostly to myself.
Selena looked at me, her eyes filled with sympathy. “Maybe you should talk to him first. There has to be some sort of explanation.”
“If his mom is really dead, why would he make another woman act like his mother? What is he hiding?”
I’d thought of all the possible reasons why he would do something like that, but nothing made sense.
There was nothing he could say to me that would be able to make me understand why he lied to me.
Selena let out a sharp exhale. “Just go back home and talk to him about it. Don’t just assume things.”
“Really?” I rolled my eyes at her. “You heard the kid. The woman was never sick, and Sean isn’t her child!”
