33 Woes Of Battle

1762 Words
The battle was a brutal one. In real life, it shocked everyone to the core. Especially Heather who was now angry about the ambush that had occurred. The last thing he expected was the two teams fighting Felix together. He leaned back in his chair, placed his elbows on the armrests and pressed his fingertips together, contemplating his next move if his precious player should lose.   Ailsa was barely able to stand but thanks to the elf that came with the team that had threw a powerful and unexpected attack at Felix, she regained her strength. Jenny was also healed and they both stood behind their saviors, facing the insane and powerful alchemist. Walt and the other guys arrived in the nick of time and were also healed and ready to fight Felix. “I’m Dalia, this is Haley, Edric and Plato,” the elf said to Ailsa and smiled. “I’m A-” “I think introductions can wait, we’re about to fight some crazy OP dude right now,” the magician called Edric interrupted and shifted their attention back to Felix who seemed unsure of what his next move should be. Ailsa reached behind her to grab her bow but realized Felix had removed it and it was lying on the ground, right next to his feet. The mad warrior, Plato and Haley rushed forward and launched multiple attacks at Felix. Plato used his speed to rush behind him and rain multiple blows from his boxing gloves on him, then pulled out his swords from behind him and fought him. Felix was weakened and tried his best to fight back, using his scepter to block the slashes from the swords. Haley used her own scepter to land fireballs and water polo shots on him. Soon enough they had knocked him to the ground, on his hands and knees. Then he looked up with a scowl on his face and closed his eyes. “Get out of there!” Walt screamed at their helpers, just in time for them to dive away as Felix activated his bite the dust skill and blew himself up. The explosion rippled through the forest and threw them all back. They all got off their feet quickly and huddled closer together to the middle, right on the spot where he had exploded. They were unsure of where he would choose to show up. Dalia had realized what was going to happen late and had been in direct line with the push back from the explosion, so she was weakened but Ailsa helped her to her feet and even though she was also weak, she tried to heal her. “Why the hell is this guy fighting you?” Edric directed his question at Jenny, she just shrugged at him. They saw Felix dashing through the trees and they started to chase after him. Dalia lagged behind and could not move as fast as the others. Felix flew up to the sky and noticed that she was the weak link among them. He quickly flew back to the ground and grabbed the back of her cloak, throwing her back. The rest of them noticed and Haley was the first to run back, towards Dalia, while Michael and Edric use attack of all the elements on Felix to prevent him from attacking Haley as she tried to save Dalia but Felix quickly activated a matrix shield that sent their attacks back. Felix pointed his scepter at Dalia and launched an air bomb attack towards her but Haley quickly stepped up in front of her and threw up a shield that protected them but the explosion from the air bomb pushed them back and weakened Dalia even further. Meanwhile, the rest of the team mates were trying to break through the matrix shield. “None of this would be happening if you weren’t meddling little irritants!” Felix yelled as he swung his scepter down on Haley, over and over until she was forced to kneel. He laughed maniacally and was about to swing his scepter down again when Dalia threw herself at him and fell to the ground. She sat on top of him and tried to land punches on his face but she was already weakened, so he pushed her back and she landed back on the ground. “I’ve had enough,” Felix said when he got off the ground and launched another air bomb attack which blasted Dalia and threw her back. “No!” Haley screamed and dashed towards Dalia to catch her but she was too late. Just as she looked up and was about to start attacking again, Felix smirked and closed his eyes. The explosion blew through the matrix shield that he had put up and deactivated it. At the same time, Haley was unable to activate a shield and the explosion detonated her as well, with Dalia in her arms. Edric screamed in frustration when he saw that two of his team mates had been killed and he could do virtually nothing to the culprit who had disappeared and they had no idea where he would show up next. In anger, he swung to face Plato whose jaw was clenched in anger. “I told you! This was none of our business! Now, Haley and Dalia are both dead! And for what?” he spat out but Plato did not reply. Walt and his team mates glanced at each other, feeling immensely guilty. “We’re so sorry abou-” Ailsa started to say, reaching forward to touch Edric on the shoulder, but the magician brushed her hand away and scowled at her. Walt pulled her back and gave Edric a meaning ‘back off’ look. Edric scoffed and turned to face Plato again. “What are we going to do now?” he asked his leader. “We kill the bastard that killed them,” Plato said and then turned to face Walt “we need to work together,” he said and Walt nodded. “I noticed something we might be able to use,” Michael said, catching their attention “after he explodes, he only uses one skill. I think he can’t use more than one skill at once,” Walt stroked his chin, thinking about the new information then a light bulb sort of went off in his head. He quickly explained what they could do. Some of Felix’s attacks were close range and some were far range. If they could figure which he would use, they would use that to determine how they would attack in return. Just as they were about to put a quick plan together, Felix reappeared right through where they had been chasing him. He was still wounded but not as badly as he should have been. He held his hands up and laughed. They all held out their weapons and faced him. Felix was about to start speaking again but Plato was not interested and without any warning, he pushed himself off the ground and activated his most deadly skill – shining venus. The skill involved his two swords, they started to blaze a bright red and yellow, resembling a comet as they came swinging down. Felix widened his eyes as he saw the attack coming, he held his hands up, to create a shield but he was too late and the hit came down on him heavily and dealt him a powerful blow which blew him straight down into the ground and created a crater. Plato landed lightly on his feet, his entire body blazing with the heat from the attack. It took a lot of magic point and strength to execute but it was well worth it as the attack had seriously affected Felix. Although, the effect also caused the rest of the team to be blown back a little. Felix managed to get back to his feet. He saw that Plato was still simmering down from the effects of the attack and that the rest of his opponents were not close, so he used to opportunity to dash back into the forest, using the trees as cover. The rest of them finally ran to Plato’s side and they stood with their backs to one another. They were all highly alert and on guard, wondering where the mad man was hiding. “Duck!” Ailsa suddenly screamed and everyone did as she said just as darts went flying through the air. Because of the crater that Plato had caused, they were exposed and Felix used the opportunity to shoot poisonous darts at them from his sleeve which they managed to dodged but it caused them to scatter in different directions. Edric was enraged and wanted to kill Felix, so he flew up and saw Felix scurrying around on the ground, throwing darts at the rest but he could not pinpoint his exact location. So, he landed on one of the trees and finally saw him. Edric grinded his teeth and raised his scepter, using his elements skill which fired all the elements at Felix at once. Felix blocked most of the attacks with a shield but was hit by some. When Edric was done with the attack, Felix started throwing darts at him but Edric was quick and leapt from tree to tree, until he was on a tree that was the closest to Felix. Edric smirked and pointed his scepter down at Felix but frowned when he saw that Felix was also smirking and was touching the tree he was standing on. Before he realized what was going on, Felix activated a super bomb on the tree and flew up. The tree exploded immediately along with Edric. Plato saw the explosion and ran towards it. When he got there, he saw Edric lying on the ground, a huge piece of the branch from the tree was lodged in his chest. Plato ran to his side and held him in his arms. Edric squinted his eyes open and looked up at his leader, then gave him a weak smile. “You’re finally here,” he managed to make out. “Save your strength, there’s another elf here, she can save you,” Plato said and looked up at Ailsa who was about to start walking towards them when Edric raised his hand up to stop her. “No, it’s a waste of time. Besides, I’ll just meet the others and you can come get us,” his voice was raspy and he forced out the words. Then he held Plato by the collar and looked him in the eyes. “Kill that batshit crazy OP dude, okay?” he said and then his grip loosened and he disappeared from Plato’s arms, to be reawakened in the Land of Origin. Plato grinded his teeth and stood then turned to face the team he had lost his entire team fighting for. “You heard him, let’s kill the batshit crazy OP dude.”
