The Calm Before the Storm

Kenzi: 

        My first day of work went without a hitch. It was a rather quiet day. Dr. Sam had paired me up with Lexie to show me the ropes. You could tell that she had been working here for quite some time, even though she didn't look much older than me. She was a shy girl, but I could tell she loved her job and took pride in what she did. She showed me where all the bandages and medication was stored, as well as how their cardiac monitors and I.V. pump work. I have seen all this equipment before, however they weren't the exact make and model that they used at the pediatric clinic I had volunteered at back in Montreal. Before I knew it, it was already lunch time so I head outside to enjoy a bit of fresh air. 

"Hey beautiful"

I look around and there is Alex, leaning against a big maple tree.

"Hey handsome, what are you doing here?"

"I thought I would surprise you, how's your day going so far?"

"It's great but a lot to take in"

"you will get the hang of it soon enough, everyone treating you ok?"

"Yeah. I was paired up with Lexie. She's sweet."

"Cool, so, you mind if I join you for lunch?"

"Of course not, how's your day going?"

I lay a sheet down on the grass and we sit down, side by side, chatting for a little bit while as we eat our lunches. Soon enough it's time for me to head back inside, so we get up and I fold the sheet back up.

"have a nice afternoon Alex"

"you too Kenz"

        I head back in, getting a kiss from Alex before leaving. The rest of the week went by much the same. The clinic was rather quiet. We had a few kids come in for annual check ups along with their booster shots. A few women came in for some ultrasounds and pregnancy follow ups with Dr. Cassandra. Alex would show up every lunch time and we would have lunch together. I was really looking forward to that time with him every day. As the days flew by I missed him more and more when he wasn't around. I couldn't wait for the weekend. I had asked him on a date when he showed up Friday for lunch. I wanted to go explore the woods with him and then cook him a nice supper over the weekend. I figured it was my turn to do something nice for him since he had been showing up on my lunch hour all week. 

        Saturday finally arrived. I was going to meet Alex by the Gym since he was giving some lessons that afternoon. I was a bundle of nerves, pacing my living room floor back and forth, so I decided to leave early. Maybe I could get a glimpse of Alex in his element. I hop in my car and head over to the gym. It was my first time here. I head in to find a pretty standard Gym with cardo and weight machines lined up. However behind that was a very large room with a black rubber looking floor. I head in that direction, hearing Alex voicing commands to his students coming from that direction. That tone has me all hot and bothered. It was sexy hearing him being authoritative and in control. I take a peak through the open door. Damn! He was shirtless and his chest was glistening with sweat, accentuating his washboard abs and defined pecs. His biceps seemed even bigger without his shirt on. Alex must have felt me staring at him because at that moment he turned towards me and gave me a cheeky smile.

"Ok everyone, partner up and practice your choke holds. Whoever is in the choke hold practice the moves we just went over to get out of them"

With that he heads over to me

"Hey beautiful, I thought we were only meeting in an hour?"

"I know but i couldn't sit still. Do you mind if i watch?"

"Not at all"

       He gives me a quick peck on the lips and then goes back to his students, correcting their stances. I looked on for the next hour as they practiced different combat moves. Alex was in his element, he clearly enjoys the teaching aspect of his job. I couldn't help but smile as I caught him sneaking a peak at me every so often. As soon as class finished, he jogs over to me and pulls me in a tight hug.

"Urg...get off of me, your all sweaty!" I say as I playfully push him away. 

he laughs " Alright give me 5 minutes to go shower and then we can head out"

"I'll wait for you up front" and with that he was off to the locker room.

Alex: 

    I could smell Kelsi's Lilac scent as soon as she showed up. She was early. I hope I didn't get the time wrong. We were only half way through the class. I quickly mindlink the class

"No one shifts, my mate is human and doesn't know about us yet. I would like to keep it that way for now"

they all quickly reply "Yes Sir".

        I might only be 25 but I was the best warrior in our pack and therefor they had to address me with respect. I earned my title through many championshsips and I have protected my pack on more than one occasion. I can see her stare at me from the corner of my eye...She clearly likes what she sees. I smirk and run up to her to say hi, and then I go back to teaching the class. I can't help but look at her every so often. Today she was wearing some black leggings and a fitted-T that showed off all those delicious curves. How was I supposed to concentrate on the class when she was looking like that? I was counting down the minutes until I could hold her in my arms again. The minute class was over I am by her side, pulling her into my arms. I know I got to have lunch with her yesterday but I missed her. She playfully shoves me away. Do I smell that bad? Its just  a little sweat. I laugh at her and after a quick goodbye I head for the showers. I don't think I've ever showered this fast in my life. I rush out of the gym and lift Kenzi up into my arms, bridal style.

'Come on Alex, put me down"

"only if you five me a kiss" she gives me a quick peck and I put her down gently.

"Where to?"

"Well I wanted to go for a walk in the woods. You know the areas more than I do so maybe you could lead the way?

"Alright"

     I grab her hand and lead her to one of my favorite spots on the pack land. Its only an hour hike to get there and I'm sure she will love it. But first I need to make sure we don't cross paths with anyone in their wolf forms. I know all the patrol routes so I can easily avoid those, but I'll still have to stay alert in case someone else is roaming close by. We should be far enough away from our borders to avoid any rogues. I wouldn't want to jeopardize her safety. She mean everything to me. We make our way through the woods slowly, just enjoying the moment. I hope we have a lot of little moments like this in our future.

Kenzi:

We arrive to a beautiful waterfall cascading into a clear blue lagoon. This place looked magical, especially with the sun filtering through the trees adding a soft glow to the area. I as in awe, I didn't know what to say.

"So, you like it?"

"It's beautiful. Do you come here often?"

"I come here when I need to clear my mind and center myself. This place helps me find my inner peace"

:I can understand why, this place is magical. The sound of the water cascading over the rocks is so soothing"

"Maybe when its warmer we can go swimming"

"That sounds nice. I always loved swimming. I even joined a swim team back in highschool"

"That sounds like fun"

"It was"

We sit down on a fallen log and just enjoy the moment for a little while longer

"Come on, lets head back" Alex says, giving me his hand so I can grab onto it.

Alex suddenly stops in his tracks and stiffens slightly.

"Everything Ok?"

He looks around and then we start walking again

"Sorry, I just thought I heard something. We sometimes have wolves and bears in these woods, but it was just a false alarm, you don't have to worry"

Alex:

    I smelled one of my warriors on our way back from the waterfall. I stop and try to pinpoint the smell. I recognize the smell as being James, about 100 meters out. 

"James stay clear from us please. I'm with my mate"

"No problem Sir"

"Thanks"

    I guess Kenzi noticed my odd behavior, as I had to reassure her that everything was fine. I couldn't exactly tell her a werewolf was close by. I wanted to make sure she was in love with me before I give her that news. I really didn't want to scare her away. I hope by then she would trust me enough to give Chase a chance. 

As we make it back to the edge of the woods I ask

"Where to now?" 

"Can we head over to my place. We could cuddle on the couch and I have a chicken casserole ready to pop in the oven for supper."

"Ok lets go grab your car. I left mine at home"

"Where is your home. I would love to see it someday"

"I have a small apartment just outside of town, I'll show you someday" 

    How was I supposed to tell her I lived in a pack house with over 100 other people. We did all have individual rooms but that was it for personal space. We had to share the large kitchen, game room and lounge areas on the main floor. Only the Alpha, Beta and Gamma suites were equipped like small apartments. The rest of us have what resembles a hotel room. It was more intimate at her place, so for now it would have to do.

Once at her place and the casserole in the oven, we settle down on the couch and put on a movie. She chooses "The kissing booth" It was very fitting because I think we kissed more than watch the movie.

Kenzi: 

    We were cuddling on the couch, side by side with my head resting on his chest and his arm wrapped around my shoulders. He was so warm, I snuggled in as close as i could as the movie started. Not more than 5 minutes in I lift my chin up to get a better look at him. He was staring right back. He leans in to give me a kiss and I reciprocate. The kiss was getting heated but my neck was cramping up in this position so I shift my position and decide to straddle him, giving me better access to those delicious lips. I kiss along his jaw line, making it up to his earlobe, nibbling at it. Did he just Growl? From the bulge i feel under me, he is clearly enjoying this as much as I am.  He attacks my lips again, Our tongues start to battle for dominance. I let him win. I loved it when men took control. He grabs my thighs and brings my body closer to his, if that was even possible. Our breath are becoming labored but I don't want this to end. I want more, I need more. I grab the hem of his shirt and start lifting it up. He helps me by raising his arms and then going for my shirt. His mouth is back on mine, our tongues dancing away. He doesn't even stop as he unclips my bra and lets it fall off my shoulders. My hands start roaming over his body, outlining every muscle with my fingers. He grabs my legs again, lifting me up from the couch and flipping me over so I was now lying down on my back with him overtop of me. He slowly kisses down my stomach making it to the waistband of my leggings. He makes quick work removing the remaining clothing I have on. His mouth finds my n****e and starts playing with it, alternating between his tongue and his teeth, licking and nibbling at it while his hand goes down to my core.

"Are you ok? Am I going too fast" he says, unsure of himself

"Please Alex, I want you, don't stop!"

That's all the encouragement he needed as he plunged his fingers inside of me. I arch my back trying to get more friction form him

"f**k, Alex! OMG!!!" I say as he lowers his mouth to my clit and starts to work his magic. The pressure starts to build up until it spills over into an earth shattering o****m. And that's when the alarm for the oven starts to ring.

"Let me get that out of the oven while you get back to your senses" He says with a laugh. Ok he clearly knows he did a good job. He walks over to the oven and turns it off, but leaves the casserole in it to keep it warm"

"Did you want to eat now or later?" he asks

" I have something else I would like to eat right now" I answer with a big smile on my face. It was my turn to satisfy him.
