Mikael take one last puff and drop his cigarette. He just saw his target entering the club. At last, after two hours of waiting. He started walking toward the club. There's few tiny raindrops falling but not enough to wet his clothes. He choose to wear black pants and black shirt under navy jacket for his job tonight. He wants to look like he's here for weekend clubbing but he don't want to be noticeable. Well, he hope that he achieve the "clubbing" look. It's been years since he went to a club. He eyed the name of the club. Night Pleasure. What a fitting name. It's a nightclub that opened two years ago. Since then it's been popular both on humans and vampires. Their department investigated some cases related to the club but all of them are dropped either by lack of evidence or there are not enough leads. It is humored that the club is owned by a powerful vampire. His anger always surface every time he thinks about that information. Are humans really that weak against vampires that even their law can be manipulated by them? It's not like that few hundred years ago when vampires are not known to exist. Yes, there's the folklore and those stories but they are just known as fictional characters. Not until some vampires hunted humans in large number and the evidences of their existence surfaced and become undeniable. Now, humans and vampires co-exist. As if humans fearing vampires can be called co-existing. The government said that humans and vampires have equal standing but Mikael experienced firsthand how untrue that is. He was snapped out of his thinking when it is his turn to enter the club. After paying the fee he went through the door. There's another hallway inside the door where some of the party goers are scattered. It was only lit by dark red neon lights along the walls. At the end of the always there’s another large door where muted music beats originates. It must be the entrance to the main club. As he enters he was bombarded by neon lights and the loud music. He looked at the main dancefloor and scanned the crowd. Mark Pearson, his partner, is currently sitting in the bar talking to a girl. Mark went first to gather more information for their investigation. Mike touched his earpiece. “I spotted the target, I’ll follow him. Continue on your task.” He saw Mark stealthy touched his ears that means he understand his order and then continue smiling and talking. Mikael scanned the dance floor again. Now he spotted his target squeezing through the squirming dancers. It’s almost impossible to spot someone in this crowd but luckily the guy is easily noticeable with his neon blue Mohawk and multiple piercing. Afraid losing the target, Mikael made his move. He don’t know who is looking so he made an act of dancing to get through around the crowd and was groped repeatedly. His job really come in different form of hazard. Finally, he was able to catch up to the target but the guy went through a door at the back of the club. Mikael hesitates if he should follow. Their order is just to gather information inside the club. It’s not in their plan to follow a suspect. But their department really need something to progress in their current case. One month ago there are reports of bodies found with blood drained from them. They have no wounds or marks so even the lack of blood pointed that the crimes are done by the vampires, the vampire police department didn’t have enough proof to take the case and the case was thrown to human police department. The things that are common between the victims are they are all human and the place they are last seen was Night Pleasure. After a week of investigation they found out that victims also bought a mysterious drug inside the nightclub. They still don’t know what this drug is but they got an information on who is selling them. If the information that this guy who I’m following is the one selling the drugs then we might get something to solve the case. His hesitation dissolves. He opened the door and went through it. The door lead him to a back alley. The only source of light is a small bulb above the door. He didn’t saw anyone near. Damn it. Did he just lose the guy? He is going back inside when he heard someone talking. He paused and listen intently. “You’re work is getting sloppy, servant. Don’t think that the Master won’t hear about this,” someone with deep voice said angrily. “Please! I’m doing what you ordered. It is just the police is on my track,” another voice said. “You’re telling me that those stupid human cops are stopping you? The master gave you power! Or are you saying you are not deserving of that power?” “No! No! It will be done as soon as possible!” The latter voice now filled with fear. Mikael quietly walk toward where the voices are. At the far back of the alley there’s a corner that can’t be seen from the door without you being near it. Mikael know that what he is doing is dangerous. He feels that he should told his partner where he is but it is too late to back out now. He got these people cornered. He draw his gun from his jacket. He is just a step from the corner when the first voice speaks again. “It seems that we are heard. Go now, servant. Don’t disappoint the master.” Mikael cursed. He was found out. He take his turn to the corner and there stood the guy he is following earlier but he is alone. It seems that the other person scaped. He pointed his gun to the guy that is currently facing the other way. “Raise your hands and turn around! Now!” Mikael said to the guy. The man raised his hand and slowly turn around with his head lowered. Mikael is about take out a handcop when the man suddenly raise his head. His eyes are red and glowing. He also have his fangs out. It growls and jump toward Mikael. That’s the moment Mikael thought he f****d up.
