Drake kicked the s**t out of the work out equipment in the pack security gym. for the first time in years his rage and emotions threatened to force him to let out the beast and blow his cover. the training grounds where quiet for the time being other than his raging at least. "you know we can go claim her and she will understand if you speak to her." Daygon said in his mind the closest he had been to the surface since they had been young enough to not understand the truth. "no I can't she is probably already promised to some other pack now. shipped off soon to be used as a f*****g broodmare for some spoiled rich kid." Drake growled out loud. that's when it happens that sixth since that told him something was wrong and she was in danger started screaming in his head his skin crawling over his body in an unnatural fashion. It had been a couple of hours since the pack trackers went looking for the people Drake was sure were up to something. The head of the packs security comes up and slams his fist into the wall next to dark growling at him the mans wolf obviously trying to take over. "what did you do boy." Security Commander Blõdwind demanded. This time Drake snapped back he usually lets the others think he's not like them but today he was at his limit to control and he grabbed the older and more muscular man by the neck and lifts him off the ground to slam on his back hard. " i haven't done anything you people kept me from protecting my mate" the words came out before he could censor them. Drake let's the older man go and backs up trying not to do anything else stupid but the anger in him boils over into fear. "what did you say Drake?" the older man asked standing up from the floor and staring at the wolf less boy in shock. Wolves can't have a mate if they're wolf less. The wolf soul that is needed to bind the two mates together isnt there and it wouldn't be possible to even make a mate connection with out one. But with what just happens and the glowing eyes glaring at him from the boy everyone knew was a wolf less outcast not even fit for rank in the pack due to being wolf less. That boy did have a wolf and a strong one it seems that he's been keeping it in his whole life not letting his wolf free for some reason. "I didn't say anything I told you to back off it's not my fault your precious trackers can't do their job." Drake spat the lie. "boy quit living to me I can almost smell your wolf and that strength you have to have alpha blood in you why have you been hiding it" S.C. Blõtwind stood up and looked him over closely like he was seeing him for the first time. "some shifters are late bloomers but if that was the case you wouldn't be holding this calm demeanor with your mate on the line. If I know anything about you boy and now I'm doubtful I do you have a strong will and soul but whoever you think you're protecting by hiding your wolf all your doing is hurting her....or him the gods are fickle in matters like this." he sits down on the bench of the nearest station. Already understanding that Drake is fighting his self even to stand still. the mate bond even when not claimed is a strong force it draws the two together like magnets and over time it just gets harder to fight. the older wolf just sighs and smirks witch shocks Drake. looking at him and the smirk only grows as he sees the look the younger wolf is giving him. "It's Skyler isn't it?" the older wolf throws the guess out there since that's the only female (she-wolf or not) he ever went near or seemed to talk about. the revelation that his higher up had been able to guess so easily send Drake back into fight mode his guard up and Daygon in he ear pushing to be let free to silence the potential threat. A growl deeper then the sound of a rock slide rolls out of Drake "If that's a threat know I'll make sure if I go down I'll take everyone one who gets in my way with me." the older man just laughs remembering when he was a younger man and his mate first came into the picture he was so edgy until the wedding that he almost ripped his brother's head off (literally) for upsetting her. "boy don't get me wrong I'm glad you have a wolf and you found her. I'd never get in the way of a mated pair. But you never showed your wolf and if I'm right and your an alpha that would make YOU the threat to her. So sit down and let me tell you something you'll want to know. and seeing as she's your mate you have a right to hear this first." the older man grew serious as he remembered why he was down here to begin with. He stood up and went to the standard command posture he used when debriefing his hunters or lower ranked officers. "The alphas ball is the next full moon and if she doesn't tell her father who her mate is or her mate doesn't come forward she's going to be sent to the dark woods pack to make peace as a political marriage. There has been a roomer our sister pack the children of Sköll are going to try and sabotage this. lastly with everything that went on this morning and you loosing the informant we don't have the Intel we needed to know if the roomers where more then that or not." Drake started pacing rage and anxious energy threatening to overwhelm him if he stays still. "But what does this have to do with why you asked me what I did?"

The older lycan looked him dead in the eyes. His eyes showing a mix of pity and an emotion Drake couldn't name. The silence and the uncomfortable atmosphere made Drake's heart race as he started to put it together. "what happened to her? where were her body guards?" his anger and his fear making him reckless. Nothing else had ever made him want to embrace daygon and let there wrath be known. The older wolf squeezed his shoulders and barked with the power of his rank. "calm yourself this isn't the time you need to let your secret out. I had the pack tracker tracking her scent and it led them to a clearing with both of your scents that's why you were being questioned. Now you need to help you have beaten most of the trackers in training go fined your mate. I'll Deal with the alpha and get your blood tested it's on file but give me a few drops and I'll give it a fresh test but you need to go."
