Chapter Forty-TwoSir James Huntington, on an extended tour of the East, was hosted by the Indian President on his Air India flight to London. They had ample time to chat and Sir James was most impressed by the Indian leader’s spiritual insight. Certainly he knew his Gita, both Sanskrit and English, and the Foreign Secretary was confident that the meeting at Winkfield would be successful. He was right. The Captain and the Indian President were soon engrossed and had to be reminded of the break for tea. Later they parted warmly, with Sir James escorting the President to Windsor for dinner with the Queen. Sir James was exhausted; the extended tour and the requirements of office when he returned were almost too much. It was time to potter in the Cotswolds. This was the message he would give
