It was around midnight when I woke up. Hungry and thirsty at the same time. I changed from my dress into a robe and I headed out of the room to get myself something to eat. Even if I was too disappointed in Nicholas, I still needed his food to survive.
I walked through the hallways quietly, hoping that I wouldn't run into Nicholas or anyone. It was night time and only a few maidens were awake. Some guards too. I finally reached the kitchen. Luckily for me, Carol was there.
