Chapter Two: Mission Completed

2390 Words
Dynasty "Karma" Jones. ** I watched as Malcolm Davis entered his apartment. Before he even went into his apartment, he looked around at his surroundings. If that's not suspicious, I don't know what is. I got out of my Jeep and walked to his front door. As I walked to his front door, I passed by several cars. But one stood out the most. It was an old black Mustang. It looked it was a 98' or 99' Mustang, and it looked like it just had a fresh paint job. I continued looking at the car but stopped once I saw several blue scratches around the car's bumper. I smirked. I continued my walk to Davis' apartment. I knocked on the door and waited for him to answer the door. I put my ear to the door and listened. I heard lots of movement before the doorknob twisted. I stepped back and waited for the person to be revealed. "Hey, how may I help you?" Davis greeted, looking confused. "I'm great," I answered. "I'm here in the regards to finding D'Angelo Pride, " I said. "I heard you were an associate of his, " I added. "I already spoke to the police about this, " He said. "I know. But I'm not the police." I said. "I don't know where he is, " He lied. "I didn't ask you if you knew, Mr. Davis, " I replied. I watched as his breathing changed. "I just want to ask you a few questions, " I added.  "May I come in?" I asked. He looked skeptical. "It is your choice. But just know if you say no, you will look extremely suspicious." I said. He sighed before stepping aside, so I could walk in. "You can have a seat, " He said as I looked around. "I rather stand, but thank you, Mr. Davis, " I said before I turned my attention back to him. "So when was the last time you saw Mr. Pride?" I asked. "A little over four months ago, " He replied. "So you saw him a month before his r**e accusation?" I asked. He shook his head, agreeing with what I said. "Well, I was looking over the police documents, and they have it written down that you said that you saw Mr. Pride the day before he disappeared, which was the day he r***d that young girl, " I said. "Mr. Davis, one thing I hate is a lia-" He cut me off. "I thin-" I cut him off. "Do not cut me off. That's highly disrespectful." I said. "Now, are you going to tell me the truth or what?" I asked as I saw movement in the corner of my eye. I had a gut feeling that it was someone else in here besides us. "U-Um, I don't think its any of your business," He spoke. "I think it's time for you to leave," He added.  "I didn't ask you what you think, Mr. Davis," I said before I smirked. "But anyway, I know you know where Mr. Pride is," I added.  "You don't know s**t, lady," The male said. "Oh, but I do," I said. "I know that Mr. Pride's car is out there. I know that y'all just got it freshly painted. I know that you've lied to not only me but the police as well. I know a lot quite frankly." I said, smirking before I slid on my black gloves. He looked like he was panicking inside.  Before I knew it, he had jumped up and tried to run to the front door. I quickly picked up the nearest thing to me, which was a glass that had some alcohol in it. I threw the glass at Davis' head. Then I watched as he fell to the ground. I knew he was knocked out.  I walked to the back of the house, where I had seen movement earlier. I walked to the back and heard movement still. I followed the noise, and I was faced with a man who was aiming a gun at me. "Just the man I was looking for," I said.  "Why are you here?" He asked all jittery.  "I should be asking you the same thing," I said. "You are a stupid criminal," I added. "Why the f**k are you still in Miami?" I asked. "Common sense should've guided your ass far away from here if you knew that the cops were after you, but I'm not here to tell you how to become a great criminal," I said. "So, are you going to put the gun down or not?" I asked. "I don't want to shoot you, but I'll have no choice if you do not leave," He said. I shrugged. "Do you, Mr. Pride. Do whatever you want." I said. "But I suggest you use that gun since you've pulled it out," I added, walking closer to him. His hand started trembling. I kept walking until the gun was touching my chest. "Shoot," I instructed, knowing he would not pull the trigger. He lowered the gun as tears threaten to spill out of his eyes. "Please just go," He said. "I'm sorry I can't do that," I said. "See, someone notified me that three months ago, you r***d a female," I added. His body begins to shake. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do it." He said.  "No, you did mean to do it. You knew exactly what you were doing when you r***d that girl." I said. "Please," He begged. "I'm sure the girl begged you to stop," I said. He was now crying at this point. "You are a pathetic human being. That girl did not deserve what you've done to her." I spoke angrily. "I know," He said. "I'm going to kill you," I said honestly. "I know," He repeated. I smirked and snapped his neck. He fell to the ground. I walked out of the apartment passing Davis who was still knocked out. I chuckled and kept walking to my Jeep. I got in my Jeep and sped to A&J Lawfirm. I parked and cut the engine off. Then I walked inside the building. I bypassed the receptionist this time and kept walking to Elgon's office. I walked right into his office without even knocking. He was sitting at his desk doing paperwork.  "Job is done," I said. He smiled as happy tears ran down his face.  "Thank you so much. You don't know the justice you've just brought to my family." He said, smiling as tears kept running down his face. I nodded as he handed me another black duffle bag. "If I can ever do anything for you, please don't hesitate to ask," he added. "I'll be sure to remember," I said before walking out of his office. I walked out of the building and got into my Jeep Wrangler. I threw the duffle bag into my backseat and drove to my apartment.  Once I made it, I parked and walked up the stairs to my apartment as I carried the duffle bag and my purse. I unlocked the door and walked in. Then I locked the door and went to sit on the couch. I unzipped the duffle bag and began counting the money just like I did with the other half of the money two days ago. It took me about an hour to count the money and get everything situated. I nodded as I saw that it was the right amount. I took $10,000 out of it and stuck it into my purse. Then I stashed the rest of the money in my closet. After I checked my work phone and replied to certain texts, I went into the bathroom and cut the shower on. I stripped out of my clothes and got into the shower.  I spent 20 minutes in the shower before getting out. I dried my body off then moisturized my body with shea butter before I walked back into my room and slid on a black thong and went to put some deodorant on. I decided not to wear a bra since my breasts were petite, and I was going to wear a sundress.  I slid on a red sundress and one of my many diamond necklaces. I walked into my closet and slipped on my MK flip flops. Then I walked out of my room and walked back into the living room and grabbed my purse. After I checked and made sure I had everything, I walked out of my apartment. I locked the door and walked down the stairs to the parking lot. I walked to my Jeep and got in. I set my purse in the passenger's seat. Then I started the engine and sped to the mall. I was going to the mall to buy Deirae and I some new things. She was doing well in school, so she deserved it.  Once I arrived at the mall, I parked in the parking deck and got out of my Jeep. I locked the doors and walked into the mall.  I went to Footlocker first to buy some shoes. Once I walked in, I walked straight to the women's section. I looked around before noticing some lavender color Nike Prestos.  "Hey, do you need any help?" One of the sales associates asked. "I need these in a six and a ten," I said, showing him the shoe. He nodded and walked away. I continued looking for more shoes as I waited for the man to come back with the shoes.  "Excuse me, ma," I heard a voice say. I looked and saw a young dude walking up to me. He looked to be 17 or 18. He was a little taller than me. His skin color was gorgeous. It was rich and chocolate.  "Please do not call me ma. I am not your mother. I have a name." I said. "Now, may I help you?" I asked. He smirked. "My bad," He said, smirking. I waited for him to say something else, but he didn't. "You are wasting my time, sir," I said. "So, if you do not have anything to say, please walk away from me," I added.  "Fiesty, I like it," He said.  "Look, I'm trying to be nice, but you're annoying me," I said honestly before walking away from him. I heard footsteps behind me. I stopped abruptly, then turned around. "Why are you following me?" I asked. "I want you," He said.  "People in hell want ice water, " I said, looking at him with a bored expression. He chuckled. "Well, that ain't my problem," He said. "And you wanting me ain't my problem," I replied. He smirked. "Can I have your number?" He asked. "No," I said. "Why not?" He asked. "Learn how to accept rejection," I said.  "I will after I get your number," He said. I looked around and saw his friends looking at us and smirking. "I'm about 5 seconds away from punching you in your throat," I said.  "Well, we're down to 3 seconds, so you better hurry up and give me your number," He said, smirking. "How old are you?" I asked curiously. "17," He said. "Why aren't you at school?" I asked since it was around noon. He looked at me skeptically. "Skipping with my boys," He said. "That's not cute nor cool," I said. He frowned. "Those boys that you're calling your friends aren't your friends. They are no good. They don't mean you well. Don't surround yourself with people like that. Do better." I said before I walked away from and went to the counter where the sales associate had set my shoes. I paid for the shoes and walked out of Footlocker. I walked to Rue 21 to continue my shopping. I spent about 20 minutes in Rue 21 buying Desirae some jeans and t-shirts. After I walked out of there, I walked to the food court. Once I reached the food court, I saw some boys bullying a girl about her weight. "Look at her shoes," One of the boys said. "Her fat ass got those shoes leaning," Another boy said. "Precious!!" One of the boys said, making all of them laugh.  I walked to them and cleared my throat. They looked me from head to toe. I looked at them with pure disgust. I never got the reason why people bully others. Like, so what if someone looks different? What do someone's looks have to do with them? Nothing.  "Why?" I asked. They all scrunched their faces up in confusion. "Why are you messing with her?" I asked, pointing to the girl that they were talking about. "I-" I cut the young boy off. "Please think about what you're about to say before you say it," I said. "You know what, nevermind that. Don't say anything at all. Y'all need to apologize to her." I said. "We were just joking. I'm sure she didn't take us seriously." The same boy I cut off said. "Joking?" I scoffed. "Joking doesn't mean hurt someone's feelings in the process. All 3 of y'all are wrong for your remarks. Not only were they rude, but they also were not true." I said. "Apologize to her now," I instructed. "And I have already told y'all twice to apologize; I won't repeat it," I gritted out. They looked at me then at each other then at the girl. "Sorry," they muttered. "Say it as if y'all meant it," I said. "Sorry, we didn't mean to offend," One said, lying. "Sorry," The other two said, sounding a little better than how they said it the first time.  "Also, remember that one day you all will have children, and karma is a b***h," I said. "And trust me because I know," I said before smirking. "Now, get up and go elsewhere," I added. They walked away. Then I turned my attention to the girl. "Hey," I called out to her. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. "You are beautiful. Don't ever let someone else's words affect you and don't ever let someone talk to you any kind of way. Stand up for yourself." I said before walking away. "Thank you!" I heard her say. I smiled and kept walking.
