Chapter 11

Jade's POV

My mono is finally gone away and I dont feel any valentines day or come to Mr. Schue's wedding because I got mono for a week. I also heard that Kitty, Unique, Joe, and Sugar also didnt come to school for a week because they got Asian Bird Flu.

I heard from Jake that Ms. Pillsburry ran away from the altar which is that Mr. Schue isnt married yet. Jake also told me that Ryder helped him to give the best valentine week for Marley which is kinda make me a bit jealous since I stayed at home for a week and she didnt even come to my house and give me valentines gift or anything.

Wait what the hell I'm talking about? Well, I guess kinda like Ryder since he is nice and sweet. And this is first time I feel like I'm interest in someone and it's kinda stupid. I cant play it cool like when I'm with any others guys.

I'm opening my locker that for one week never touched until a lot of love letters also paper cut fall down from my locker. What is this?

"Wow, one week didnt go to school and your fans must be already miss you. You got ten thousand letters when I'm not getting one." Ryder chuckles.

"Here you want?" I take a love letter and give it to him.

"I want the one that you write for me." Ryder smirks at me.

"I didnt write any. I spent my week on the bed and watching tv." I said to him and take off those love letters from the ground and put it into my locker.

"No, just kidding but actually I have something for you." Ryder says and give me a box.

I raise my eyebrows and open that box. I got a leather bracelet. "Ryder, this is cute. Thank you so much." I smile at him.

"That bracelet just look like you, cute but rock n roll." Ryder smiles back at me.

"Thank you." I smile at him then put that box into my locker and shut my locker.

"Wanna walk you to choir room?" Ryder grins at me.

"Sure." I nodded as we both start walking.

I'm walking in the hallways with him together. I guess I should give him a chance. He is being so nice to me and sweet also he is kinda cute and I think I like him even though I'm not really sure yet.

We both keep walking and enter the choir room. I'm sitting down in the middle row next to Jake and make fake sneezing to scared him.

"Stay away from me." Jake glares at me.

"Haha my cold is gone." I chuckle.

Mr. Schue walk in with Finn then write something on the white board and turn around at us. I look at the white board and he just write 'movies'.

"Everybody loves movies. They don't just tell stories they transport us to other worlds. They are inspirational. They provide comfort, and they help us escape from our day-to-day anxieties." Mr. Schue says to us.

"Like getting left at the altar?" Kitty asks.

"Too soon." Ryder simply says.

"Exactly. Or in your guys' case, studying for exams or worrying about regionals. In any case, for this week's assignment, I want you to pick your favorite songs from your favorite movies." Mr. Schue says to us as we start cheering happily.

"Unique knows all there is to know about The Crying Game." Unique says to us.

"You don't get dibs on Les Mis just because you are the poster." Kitty says to Marley.

"Finally I can do my Nicolas Cage impression. 'Oh, not the bees! No! The bees! No!'" Sam makes an impression.

"That's weird." I frown.

"That is the worst Nicolas Cage impression I've ever seen." Kitty frowns at Sam.

"Do you even know who Nicolas Cage is?" Artie asks Sam.

"Okay, it's not that simple, guys. This is a group competition boys against girls and we are doing mash-ups. Now remember, movies are visual. So it's not just about the singing it's about performance, it's about theatricality, it's about the language of cinema." Mr. Schue says to us.

"Preach." Artie says and wheel to the front. "And as I move into production on my first micro-budget feature I'm happy to offer starring roles to whichever team wins.

No trailers, no per diem." Artie grins at us.

"Great. Okay. Well, everyone split up and start working on your song choices." Mr. Schue says to us.

I stand up from my seat and walk to the girls and discussing about the song from what movie we should sing for the competition.

"We should do The Artist so we dont have to sing." Sugar grins at us.

Kitty and I just look at each other then frown at each other. I roll my eyes and turn my face until I realized that Ryder was starring at me. I just smile shyly at him and he smiles back at me then turn her face to the boys again.

I guess I should give him a chance. A chance to date me because I think I like him but I dont know how and I dont know what should I do for that. I'm type of a girl who never say that she is into a guy.

I'm sitting down on my classroom and looking at the leather bracelet that Ryder gave me. I didnt pay attention to the class since the teacher isnt coming and the substitute teacher is kinda boring with teaching.

I dont know what to do. I like him and I dont know how to tell him but I guess I should wear this bracelet and give him a sign that I like him. That's it.

The bells rings.

I went out from my classrom and holding my ransel on my back. I wear the bracelet that Ryder gave me on my right hand. I look at my watch and it's time for cheerio practice.

I walk to my locker and put my ransel into my locker then take my bagpack with my practice stuff inside. I shut my locker and turn around until Bradley suddenly shocked me and block my way.

"I have my cheerios practice." I said to him.

"You cant just dump me like that, baby." Bradley smirks at me.

"I didnt dump you. I just realize that you're not my type." I smirk back at him.

"And your type is the gay with brunette justin bieber hair?" Bradley raises his eyebrows at me.

"Not really." I shake my head. "Well, would you leave please? Because I already late." I grin at him.

"What is the right type for a slut like you huh?" Bradley smirk at me.

"You call me what?" I glare at him.

"You dumped me and no one dump me before and you did for a gay with brunette justin bieber hair, slut!" Bradley protest.

"Watch your mouth, dude!" Ryder suddenly pushes him away and beat him. "She dumped you because you were trying to sleep with her and she is not slut!" Ryder yells and they both start beating at each other.

"Ryder! Stop!" I yelled and trying to hold him but he is too big for me until Jake come and hold him and stops them.

"You go away from here before I kill you and once more, dont call my sister slut!" Jake yelled at Bradley.

Bradley just glare at us and walk away from here and the crowded in hallways is gone. To be honest I really want to slap his face because he called me that.

"Are you okay?" I ask Ryder.

"Yeah." Ryder nodded. "He didnt hurt you or anything, right?" Ryder asks me.

"No. Just called me a slut." I let out a sigh.

"Because you dumped him?" Jake asks me.

"He was trying to have s*x with me on our first date. Isnt that crazy? So I dumped him." I said to Jake.

"You deserve better than those jerks." Jake take his book and shut his locker then walk away.

I just lean my body against my locker and exhales. "Jake is right, you deserve someone better than those jerks." Ryder says to me.

"With who?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"With me, maybe." Ryder smirks at me.

"I'll think about that." I chuckle. "I have cheerios practice now. See you and thank you so much." I smile at him and walk away.

The way Ryder defended me really shows me that he could be a gentleman. Okay now, I'm really sure that I should give him a chance. I will tell him that I like him. That's it but how? I bet he didnt notice that I'm wearing a leather bracelet from him besides that this is only bracelet and I can wear it anytime I want but now this is confused me. I never like a guy before. I date those jerks for fun and not because I like them.

Now I'm sitting down on the seat in choir room for the mash-up competition between glee boys and girls. The first performance is between for the boys and I'm curious about the song they're gonna sing actually.

"You can't handle the truth." Joe makes an impression.

"Girls. You're up." Mr. Schue grins at us.

"We are gonna kick your butt." I mock them as we walk out from the choir room and walk to the girls toilet.

We already prepare our costume and everything. Not just changed for our special performance and this time I just wanna impress Ryder because when the boys perform I can see that Ryder was trying to impress me. Not to be confindence but I will perform to impress him.

I went out from the closet and walk to the mirror and curly my hair then put make up on my face.

"Nice leather bracelet." Kitty says as she is standing next to me.

"It's Valentines gift from Ryder." I simply said and wear the necklace on my neck.

"Wow. You two make it work huh." Tina chuckles.

"Fyi, we're not dating but he is cute and sweet." I giggle and take off the bracelet and wear the long handgloves for the performance.

I put my stuff back to my pouch. And make it one with the other's stuff then went out from the girls toilet for the performance.

"Tina, I need help for this." I said to Tina and shows her the bracelet.

"You look stunning." Tina grins at me and help me wear me the bracelet.

"You too." I smile back at her.

Marley and Kitty went out from the girls toilet. We then walk to the choir room and ready for our greatest number and it will kick boys's butt and I'm gonna impress Ryder.

We enter the choir room and the boys start whistling until the music begin and we start doing our choreography and singing.

I'm laying my body on the sofa in my living room and looking at the bracelet on my hand. I really like Ryder now and I guess I need to tell him the truth but I dont know how it could be.

"Can you stop starring at that bracelet?" Jake asks me and busy playing with his guitar.

"I guess I will tell Ryder that I like him." I said to Jake.

"Then?" Jake turn his face at me.

"Yeah maybe I can give him a chance to be my boyfriend. What do you think?" I ask Jake.

"Do that. You are so much better than what you think, Jade. And it's enough for you to play with those jerks. I'm fine with that just go ahead and dont dump him like what you did to other guys." Jake says to me.

"I'm gonna sing a song for Marley tomorrow and I know what her favorite song and it will be perfect." Jake says and playing his guitar.

I just nodded and take my phone from the table in front of me. I will text Ryder and tell him that I wanna talk to him tomorrow. Yeah I will do that. I will tell him that I like him.

I went out from gymnasium and holding my bagpack then drink my water from my bottle after cheerios practice. I already text Ryder and tell him that I'm gonna meet him.

"Hey, sister-in law." Kitty smirks at me and walk next to me.

"What do you want, Soccer Field Face?" I turn my face at her.

"Look, I'm dating Puck now and I'm gonna be your sister-in law soon and we might be hangin out together so dont be so rude to me." Kitty says to me.

"Okay." I roll my eyes.

"How's the thing going on with you and Ryder? Are you dating now?" Kitty asks me.

"No. Not yet. Well, we had our first date then he told me that he likes me and into me. So I guess I will tell him that I like him back." I said to Kitty.

"My suggestion, you should test him for the honest game first." Kitty says to me.

I'm just standing in the hallways. I dont believe Kitty but something in my heart saya that Kitty must be right. I dont know what to say. I like Ryder and I was about to tell him that I'm into him but everything turn into getting worse and it's stupid.

I'm playing basketball alone in McKinley gymnasium. I'm waiting for Ryder and I'm mad at him. Not only because of he kissed Marley but he didnt tell me the truth and Jake didnt know about that, I guess. Yeah my brother wouldnt know about that.

"Hey, you want to see me?" Ryder walks in.

I didnt answer him and keep playing basketball and trying to make shoot and make point for my shoot. Ryder throw his ransel away and trying to get the ball from my hand as I'm doing my dribble.

"You wont get that from me. In my former school, I was a captain for basketball team." I chuckle and keep playing with the basketball.

"I'm taller than you okay." Ryder chuckles and he suddenly take off my ball from my hand.

"No way!" I shout and run to him to get my ball back but Ryder dribbling that ball behind me until he run and do shoot.

"Yeay I got one point!" Ryder shouts happily.

"You shoot to the wrong ring, sweetheart." I laugh and shake my head.

"Damn it!" Ryder yelled.

I cant help it and laugh out loud. He think he can easily beat me up for basketball or soccer. Sorry not sorry but I'm the best in that and I wont lose.

"Next time, dont try to beat me." I smirk at him.

"Let's play again and I'm sure I will win." Ryder smirks back at me.

"Okay but dont cry if you lose." I smirk back at him and take the ball from his hand.

I run and hold that ball and dribbling it as Ryder is trying to block my way. I turn around and throw my ball away to my back and make Ryder run to get the ball but I have better idea. I start make cartwheels and get the ball faster than him even he was closer.

"Better luck next time, dude." I laugh and shoot my ball to the ring. "I won!" I yelled happily.

"You cheated! There is no cartwheel in basketball." Ryder protest.

"There is no rules." I chuckle and sit down on the bleachers.

"Why are we here?" Ryder asks me and sit down next to me.

I take my mineral water from my bagpack then drink that. Then give my bottle to Ryder. "There is something I want to tell you." I said without looking at him.

"What's that?" Ryder asks me.

"I like you back." I turn my face at him.

Ryder suddenly turn his face at me and looking at me. "You did?"

"Yeah. But I just want to let you know that this is me. I'm tough and mean, and it's me." I said to him.

"I like you for the way you are. I like you because you're the most amazing girl that I've ever known. I like you because I know you from inside and outside." Ryder cups my cheek. I just smile at him and he smiles back at me then he push his face closer to me about to kiss me.

"I cant do this before you answer my question and being honest with me." I stop him.

"Okay, ask me anything." Ryder holds my hand.

"Did you really kiss Marley last week?" I raise my eyebrows. Ryder just being quiet and turn his face away. I know that look. He admit that. "Okay I know the answer. You kissed her." I simply said and stand up from my seat.

"Who told you that?" Ryder catches my hand.

"Kitty. At first I dont believe her but now she is right and she didnt lie to me." I half-smiled at him.

"Jade, I'm sorry. I dont mean to kiss her. Just please. We're just about to start this." Ryder hold my sleeves.

"But you lied to me." I raise my eyebrows at him. "Okay, I have no rights to mad at you. You're not even my boyfriend and dont worry, I wont tell Jake unless you tell him or Marley tell him." I said to Ryder and push his hand away slowly.

"I didnt tell you because I dont wanna hurt you." Ryder says to me.

"You didnt hurt me but you hurt Jake. You helped him but at the end you're backstabbing him. And it seems like you cant move on from her." I said to Ryder and take my bagpack.

"Jade, please. I'm really sorry. Dont go. I apologize for that and I didnt have feeling for her anymore." Ryder begged at me.

"I cant." I shake my head and start walk away from the bleachers.

"Jade, I love you! There, I said it!" Ryder shouts.

I didnt turn around and keep walking until I went out from gymnasium and tears slowly fall down to my face. This is first time a guy can make cry like this. Do you know how it feels when you jealous at someone but you dont have any rights for that? And that's what I feel right now.

I keep walking in the hallways and let my head down. I wipe my tears away and turn my head up. I turn my face and my eyes meets Marley's eyes. I just half-smiled at her and keep walking in the hallways.

"Jade, stop. Please give me a chance." Ryder blocks my way.

"I didnt mad at you, Ryder." I shake my head. "It's just thanks for being honest with me." I half-smiled at him and walk away.

"Jade! I love you!" Ryder shouts.

He told me that he loves me but he kissed my brother's girlfriend who he ever had crush on and it's hard to trust him again. Well, I have no rights for that but I like him and I'm into him but ugh God. This is complicated.
