Chapter 3

"So Jake's plan to get Marley already working?" Kitty asks me.

"How could you know that Jake planned that?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I aint dumb and I know Puckerman so bad." Kitty says and walk away.

I let out a sigh and keep walking in the hallways. Until I see Jake and Ryder are fighting to in the hallways in front of Marley.

I run to them and take Jake's body and hold him as Finn stops them and yelled at them. Jake is still trying to beat him but I keep holding him.

"Hey, hey, cut it out. Stop. Come on, stop, stop it. Stop. Cut it out. Come on." Finn yelled at them.

"I persuade you to stop fighting immediately." Tina stops them.

"Freeze, bitches." Becky shows us her plastic gun.

"Thanks, Becky, both you guys. Glee Club, 20 minutes." Finn says to us and walk away.

I leave Jake's body but Jake and Ryder still glares at each other and almost punch each other. I take his hand then walk lead him and bring him away from them.

"Why you didnt tell me that he called you slut?" Jake asks me.

"I dont want to." I shake my head.

"Why? He called my twin sister a slut when he knows nothing about you! I'm mad at him not only because of Marley but also because about the things he did to you!" Jake frowns at me.

"I dont want you get into trouble again okay. Just please it's over." I said to Jake. "Who told you about that by the way?"

"Marley accidentally spread it out when we were talking." Jake sighs.

"Marley was there and he still dont apologize to me so I guess that I wont talk to him anymore." I said to Jake.

"I'm sorry, I was upset. I dont care if someone's mock me but he called you something that you actually not." Jake says to me.

"Jake, enough. The reason why I dont wanna tell you, it's this. I'm afraid that you will fight with him and it just happened." I said to Jake.

"You care about me or him?" Jake asks me.

"Of course you. I dont want mom to transfer us to another school next year if we cant be good. So instead of letting you get into a trouble so I decided to keep it alone." I smile to Jake.

"You're really cool." Jake smiles back at me and open his locker. "So you will also wearing that Superhero costume?" Jake asks me.

"No. I dont know what it supposed to be." I shake my head.

"Good. Because I dont want it too." Jake simply said. "And Ryder will go out with Marley this Friday." Jake put his ransel to his locker then shut his locker.

"Stop it. We can have the best Friday Night ever. Besides next week is Thanksgiving and sectionals." I grin at Jake.

"Yeah you're right. So let's grab some movies and make popcorn and watch movies until morning comes." Jake put his hand around my shoulder as we walk together.

"Yep. Totally. You wont be alone with me." I chuckle.

We start walking in the hallways and chuckle at each other until we turn our way to choir room where everyone is wearing their superhero alter ego costume and join that superhero club that I dont understand.

I walk to a seat row and sit down on the back row next to Joe and next to Joe is that Ryder guy and I dont understand what is he doing here.

"Okay, guys, sit down. We got a lot of work to do today." Finn says to us but nobody listen him and keep talking at each other. "No, seriously, come on, I mean it, sit down." Finn says and the others is finally sitting down. "Okay, so the first order of business today is to welcome the newest members to the glee club Ryder and Kitty." Finn points to Kitty and Ryder.

I'm just being quiet and let out a sigh. I dont mind with Kitty since I'm now officially a team with her and she is my homegirl but Ryder? Hell no.

"Wait, don't we all get to vote on her or something?" Tina asks Finn.

"Well, Tina, Kitty was fantastic in Grease." Finn says to Tina.

"In spite of my god-awful part." Kitty says proudly.

"Besides, we're under the gun. We we have to go to Sectionals next week and we need at least 12 members to compete." Finn says.

"Oh, well, then, just call Santana back from Kentucky again 'cause apparently she's better than anyone who's actually enrolled here." Tina protest.

"Look, Tina, not now." Finn exhales. "Uh, look, where was I? Sectionals, yes. Here's the game plan." Finn walk to the white board about to write something but he doesnt find the marker. "Uh The theme is "Foreigner". We're gonna sing songs by Foreigner in foreign languages, wearing all the costumes of the world's nations." Finn says to us.

"Wait, seriously, that's your idea?" Artie asks Finn.

"Yeah." Finn nodded and grins at us.

"Finn, times have changed. We're national champions now, which means we have to exceed all expectations, so if that's your best idea, I-I don't think we stand a chance." Blaine says and stand up from his seat about to walk off.

"Wait, where are you going?" Finn asks Blaine.

"I'm going to get our trophy back from the Warblers the one you haven't even noticed is missing." Blaine simply said and walk away.

I turn my face to the trophy rack and yes the biggest trophy is missing. Finn look pissed off and I guess he doesnt know what to do.

The bell rings.

Everyone just half-smiles then walk off from the choir room. I stand up from my seat and walk out from the choir room.

"I need you to carry me to the mall today." Kitty suddenly takes my hand.

"But buy me frozen yogurt and drive me home." I raise my eyebrows at her.

"Ugh sure." Kitty rolls her eyes as we are walking together.

I walk to my locker and take my ransel from my locker then put lipbalm on my lips and looking at the mirror in my locker.

Yes Kitty is my homegirl but sometimes I dont like her and I dont trust her. But sometimes she is kinda easy going one when we go out.

"Come on." I said to her and shut my locker.

We then start go back walking in the hallways together. Yeah I become one of the popular kids here now and since I join the cheerios, nobody mock me again except Ryder. Well, I got a little benefit here actually but still I dont wanna be friends with Bobby and Phil since they made fun of Jake and I many times.

Glee Club

I'm sitting down in choir room in the middle row next to Sam as he cant stop smirking at me. He is cute and too cute until I dont wanna date him or response him too far.

"So you dont wanna join the Superhero Society Club?" Sam smirks at me.

"I dont wanna wear that tight spandex." I shake my head.

"Okay." Finn suddenly walks in with his superhero costume which is kinda weird. "So, I-I get it my first idea was pretty bad." Finn says to us.

"Worse than funk." Tina says.

"Worse than Night of Neglect." Artie says.

"So I decided to try something new Dynamic Duets." Finn says to us and write 'Dynamic Duets' on the white board. "This is gonna be a lot more fun, and it focuses on something you guys actually like: Superhero." Finn says to us.

"Oh, so wait are we all gonna have to wear costumes?" Marley asks.

"And who exactly are you supposed to be? The Bulge, who makes gym socks disappear?" Artie asks Finn.

"Please don't melt us with your bulge." Brittany says.

"Well, I am the almighty Treble Clef, Uniter of Glee Clubs." Finn smiles at us.

"Jesus is the only real almighty superhero." Kitty simply said.

"Amen." Joe says.

"Nobody asked you." Kitty glares at Joe.

"Come on, guys, let's hear him out." Ryder says to us.

"Thanks. Look at the Avengers. Individually, they all have amazing powers, but as a team, they cannot be stopped. Right now, we're a bunch of individuals with great powers and talents, but we're not a team. Some of you even have mortal enemies in this very room, allowing the Dark Side to turn us against each other, when we should be focused on the Warblers." Finn says to us.

"Nightbird is handling the missing trophy." Blaine says to Finn.

"Great. Thank you, Nightbird. Jake will pair up with Ryder, Marley will join Kitty to perform the duets. The rest of you, start preparing to fight an epic battle against the forces of evil at Sectionals." Finn grins at us.

"Hold up, what about Jade?" Tina raises her hand.

"Well, we missed one person. Wade is sick so he cant go to school. So..." Finn giggles.

"Besides Finn knows that I dont have any problem with all of you." I said to them.

"But you hangin out with Kitty yesterday." Artie frowns at me.

"Yes Kitty is my homegirl but sometimes I dont like her and I dont trust her." I simply said.

"I dont trust you either." Kitty simply said.

"They're really remind me with Santana and Quinn." Tina says to Finn.

"Really? Yeah right." Finn chuckles. "Alright, we will start this again after lunch time and I hope one of you will be ready for the epic battle." Finn says to us.

The bell rings.

I take my ransel and went out from the choir room. I'm curious with what Santana Lopez looks like. I told this to Puck and he laughed out loud and he told me that the alumni will come home for thanksgiving in Lima next week. Well, maybe I'll meet Santana Lopez next week.

I went out from the choir room and walk next to Marley. "Can I ask you a question?" I ask Marley.

"Yeah sure." Marley nodded.

"Who told you to sting your finger to your throat?" I ask quietly at her.

Marley just being quiet and keep walking then she look around. "Promise me you wont tell anyone else." Marley says to me.

"Pinkie swear." I said to her and show my pinkie.

"It's - it's Kitty. It's just she was really right. I have a fat mom and I will end up like her. You know genetic." Marley says sadly.

"And you trust her?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Yes. Look, you friend with her, you also in the same cheerios with her." Marley says to me.

"But I dont trust her. That's it. Yeah I went hangin out with her but we keep each other honest." I said to Marley.

"I dont know. I'm just lost." Marley sighs and open her locker.

"I know that." I simply nodded and standing next to her locker.

"Here's the only thing you need to study." Kitty suddenly walks to us and give a music sheet to Marley.

"Isn't part of the assignment that we have to pick a song together?" Marley asks Kitty.

"The assignment is Dynamic Duets. I took the liberty of choosing a song to show off my vocal bombasity while at the same time highlighting your mousy softness." Kitty smirks at Marley.

"Well, can we at least talk about which superheroes we're gonna be?" Marley frowns.

"Absolitely." I nodded as agree.

"You can talk all you want, but I already decided. I'm Femme Fatale 'cause in France it's Kill Women." Kitty says to Marley.

"No, it doesn't." Marley shakes her head.

"Which is what I'm going to do when we perform." Kitty simply said then walk away.

"Sometimes I just wanna kill her." I said to Marley.

"Dont." Marley chuckles and shake her head. "Come on, just forget about her and go to the class." Marley smiles at me as we start walking together.

When Ryder said I'm fake friended Marley, he was really wrong. I really friended Marley. Not only because Jake had crush on her but it's also because of she is the nicest one when we joinned the glee club.

Now we're back to the choir room for the epic battle between Jake and Ryder. I dont know where Jake was. He just gone since this morning meanwhile I'm just spending my day with Marley.

Suddenly the music begin. Jake and Ryder walk in with Clark Kent style. I wanna laugh but I hide it.

They were trying to impress Marley until then both of them start fighting. I dont know what to do because it was brutal.

"Finn! Do something!" Sugar yelled.

Finn takes Jake's body and hold him. Meanwhile Sam takes Ryder's body hold him then bring him out from the choir room. I turn my face at Marley and she look confused and freak out. They fight because of her. I let out a sigh and facepalm. I just hope that Finn wont bring them to Principal Figgins's office.

I'm sitting down on the carpet floor in my bedroom and watching tv alone. Suddenly I heard my door room opened. I turn my face to the stairs and Jake walk downstairs and throw his bag.

"You went home late." I said to him.

"I'm tired. Dont ask me anything." Jake simply said and lay his body on the carpet floor in front of me.

"Okay." I simply nodded and keep eating my potato chips.

"Finn punished me and Ryder. We should tell our fears at each other and I handed him a paper then he told me to told him myself and I did. Then when I asked him his fears, he told me that he cant read that paper." Jake turn his face at me.

"Really? He cant read that because your handwriting is bad." I simply said.

"No, I'm serious. He said that he doesnt know what happen. He keep studying but he cant do better even he cant read that text." Jake sit down in front of me.

I'm just being quiet and frown. It's like he need special treatment. I stand up from my seat and walk to my table then turn on my computer and looking for something.

"Jade, give me a solution." Jake groans.

"Wait a minute." I said and keep looking at my computer and searching why Ryder cant read until I found one. "He is dyslexic." I turn my face at Jake.

"What?" Jake frowns and stand up then walk closer to me. "Dyslexia?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "He cant join the regular class. He need to join special class with special teacher. I think you should tell this to Finn. He is like our teacher now and maybe he can help." I said to Jake.

"Nah. I dont wanna do that. He called you slut and he stole my date with Marley." Jake shakes his head.

"Jake, forget about that S word. I dont want us get in trouble anymore. Just do that. There is nothing wrong to help anyone." I said to Jake.

"I really wanna kill him if he calls you slut again." Jake says.

"Enough." I roll my eyes. "You better tell Finn tomorrow." I said to Jake. "And now, you better take a bath because I dont want to smell gross third n****e in my room." I laugh.

"We shared room." Jake simply said and walk to the bathroom.

I turn off my computer. Jake start singing in the bathroom. I roll my eyes and sit down in front of my drum and start playing it. Yeah Jake interest with guitar but I interest with drum and I can play that. And that's why we both have basement bedroom so it wont be noisy outside.

And it's kinda crazy when we still shared room at this age. Jake and I fought for this basement bedroom and no one of us want to lose so we shared room here together meanwhile our house has three bedrooms so one room turn into a guest room.

"Shut up!" Jake shouts.

I laugh and stand up from my seat then walk to my bed and lay my body on my bed and watching tv.

Ryder's POV

Right now I'm going to Jake's house. I owe him one. He got my back and help me with telling Finn about my problem and right I'm dyslexic. I'm still have crush on Marley well maybe we can competing in fair way besides I want to apologize to Jade about what the things I said.

Marley was right. She is a b***h but she aint an evil like Kitty. She still have heart and I was really mean to her besides I didnt know about her.

I let out a sigh and went out from my car. I read the house number and right this is their house. I press the bell and waiting for someone open the door.

"Can I help you?" A black woman open the door and smiles at me.

"Mrs. Puckerman? I'm Ryder Lynn. I'm Jake's friend. Is he home?" I smile nervously at her.

"Oh yeah. He is in his room. Come in." She smiles at me and let me in. I just enter this house and look around. I turn my way and was about to walk upstairs. "His room is on the basement." Jake's mom says to me and walks lead me to a door. She open a door which I bet is Jake's room since there is a sign with 'JP' on the door. "Honey, you got your friend here." Jake's mom says then leave us.

Jake turn his face to the stairs and raises his eyebrows at me. "What are you doing here?"

"Look, I'm here to apologize about what happened lately." I said to Jake and walk downstairs. "I mean it. Seriously. Dude, you got a cool room." I said and look around.

"You went here to checking out my bedroom or apologize?" Jake asks me.

"I want to apologize. I owe you one. You got my back. Finn told me that you were the one who convience him about my deepest fears and I found out that I'm dyslexic. I just want us competing in fair way. No more hitting or anything." I said to Jake.

"You owe Jade. She was the one who found out that you're dyslexic and she forced me to tell that to Finn." Jake simply said.

"She did? But h-how?" I raise my eyebrows.

"We shared everything even bedroom and I tell her about your deepest fears and she looked up on the internet and found that." Jake says to me. "That's okay. I already forget that."

I'm just half-smiled at him and look around. They really have a cool bedroom in the basement but I dont see Jade around. I just hope that she is not walking out from the bathroom and naked.

"Jakey, I made fusili bolognaise since I'm always hungry when I'm studying..." Jade walks in and lower her voice while she looking at me and bring a bowl. "What are you doing in my house?" She raises her eyebrows at me.

"I wanted to apologize. We will face sectionals next week and I just want to be friends with all of you. You both got my back and really help me out. I'm really sorry." I said to her.

"Even after called me a slut?" She frowns at me.

"Look I'm really apologize. I shouldnt be like that. I didnt know you very well but I already judged you and it was wrong really wrong. I'm really sorry. Besides dont be mad, those glee boys are like teasing you all the time like Sam and Joe also the jocks talked about you in boys locker room so it made me think..." I said nervously.

"She even never sleep with any other guy except me. And that was really rude. Kitty and her are different. She still have hearts." Jake says to me.

Jade just let her head down and standing in front of the tv. I know I was really mean to her. If she was like Kitty, she wont help me that day besides last day I know Bobby and Phil loves made fun of her.

"And I wanna say thanks because you helped me that day. You were gone before I said thank you. I'm really sorry, Jade. I mean it. I just want three of us become friends so no more violence." I said to them. "I promise I wont call you like that again. Jake told me his deepest fears and I know how sucks to be like you both, to be half-black, half-white, and half-jewish. I'm really sorry. I apologized for that and I mean it." I said to Jade.

Jade exhales and turn her face at me. "Alright. I forgive you. It's just was really hurt. I even never sleep with a guy except Jake. Not because I'm a gay but because I want to keep that for the right person or maybe my husband. And when someone called me slut it's like I sleep with different guy every night." Jade half-smiled at me.

"I got that. I know that. I'm really sorry to both of you. You guys got my back okay." I said to them.

"Just stop talking about this and just forget that. I have homeworks to do." Jade simply said and walk to her table.

I turn my face at Jake and he just shrug and half-smiled at me. "Forget it. Just competing in fair and square like when we're going to face sectionals." Jake says to me.

"Totally." Jade nodded as agree.

"So are-are we fine?" I ask them.

"Yeah." They said together.

"Alright cool. Like this room. I really like it and maybe I could ask my parents one for this." I grin at them. "Okay, I just wanna make sure that we're fine and I got your both back and thanks. I'll see you guys tomorrow." I said to them and walk to upstairs.

"See you!" Jade shouts.

I went out from their room and walk passed the living room. Wait, I saw a drum inside that room. Whose that? Jake? All I know he only can play guitar. So maybe Jade? Wow that's really cool. She is cool actually and I was really wrong to called her that. I even didnt never think that she never sleep with guy before. When I though was really different.

Jade's POV

"What made up your mind to forgive him?" Jake asks me.

I turn around and turn my face at Jake. "He was about to cry so I guess it's better to forgive him." I chuckle.

"Alright but we're back on our mission." Jake smirks at me.

"What?" I raise my eyebrows.

"He blew off his date with Marley this Friday then Marley suddenly asked me out and I said yes. So you need to go back to the game because I need you to make him stay away from Marley." Jake says to me.

"Bet you cant do anything without me." I simply said and roll my eyes.

"Like I said before, I just wanna be a good guy." Jake says.

"Alright, alright I'll help you. I dont like to see a guy cry." I simply said and turn my face at my book.

"And also do my math homework." Jake simply said.

"For that do it yourself. I dont take help for homework." I roll my eyes.

"Haha just kidding, Jade." Jake laughs.

I exhale and finishing my homework while eating my fusili as Jake is still sitting down on the ball chair and playing video games. Yeah back to the game where I have to make Marley stay away from Ryder.
