EightAfter enjoying a scrumptious meal, Amber and I parted ways. This time it was for the entire night, and it was even harder to pull away from her. Though we could still keep tabs on each other through the walls, my stomach churned as I watched her exit my apartment. Judy shoved a couple of tiny blue pills into my palm. She insisted that I take them to help calm my still apparent nerves. She said it would relax my body, allowing me to slip into a much-needed sleep, or “reboot” as she called it.
