As I relaxed in my study I noticed that the sunlight from the late afternoon was streaming through the windows. It created long shadows that stretched out against the walls of the room.
However even though it was warm outside I could hardly feel that warmth because of the emotional storm that was building up inside my mind.
My thoughts were swirling and bumping against one another reminding me of the chaotic memories from the riot that had happened just the day before. In my head I could hear Lady Aria's voice clearly.
It was steady but there was a slight wavering in it as she tried to calm the confusion and conflict that was threatening to tear our pack apart. Her determination to hold everything together played over and over in my thoughts.
