3: No Mercy

ALARIC A fiery glint formed in my eyes as I looked up at the dark and thunderous sky. Thick and heavy clouds formed all over us, extending towards the territory that I had been targeting for a long time. As the little rain drops started to fall quickly one by one, I signaled my troops to start moving. The war will start the moment I step into that cursed territory. But unlike the other wars, the only winner in this one is me. We stopped just 200 meters away from the feet of the plateau, just a few steps before the deadly ashes that protected their territory. I spent years studying this pack, from where they are located, and the reasons why other packs cannot attack them. Their first defense? These thick ashes on the ground that can burn one's skin once touched. A lot of warriors had fallen from these ashes alone, but we won't meet the same fate as them. We patiently waited for the rain to come, as it is what can stop this ashes from killing us. In just a few minutes, the ashes were turned into mud by the heavy rain. As the first obstacle in our way disappeared from our sight, I took the lead and walked over the muddy surface without any worries. Even if I feel the mud clinging into my feet, I continue walking with my only goal in my mind. It didn't take so long for us to reach the bottommost part of the plateau. My eyes traced the height of it, almost a hundred of mine will be needed to match the height of this plateau. But despite its enormous height, it cannot stop us from entering. "You know what to do," I spoke to my warriors with my eyes fixated on the top of the plateau. "Kill everyone on sight. Do not leave anyone breathing." My warriors immediately climbed up the steep plateau without worries, using the materials that we purposely made for this mission. As the first warrior reached the top, a loud scream of an enemy erupted, and it didn't take long for his dead body to fall down to the mud. The previously quiet territory was shaken by a loud explosion, targeting the statue of their pride and power. Standing near the end of the plateau, I saw how the Veinspire fell into pieces, with that stone head of the Alpha falling to the ground, just like what my hands are aching to do to him. Arrows were shot from the sky, spears pierced through the bodies of their pack members, and houses were destroyed into pieces as these awful werewolves scram to save themselves. "I see you," I spoke to myself as my eyes found the main house of this pack. Without wasting any time, I transformed into my wolf form, letting Aladin out of his chamber. I ran with my claws ready to attack anytime. Everyone who was on my way — men and women — weren't able to escape my pointed claws. The tips of it met their faces and bodies, ripping out their skin in one swift move. They didn't even get to scream for help, as their throats were smashed quickly. My wolf acted like it was a crazy man who just got out of prison, and it was wrecking havoc in this place. I can't count how many werewolves pleaded for their lives, or who among them have their blood on my fur. All I know is that it gave me a satisfying feeling, and quenched the thirst I have for blood. But this is not enough. None of this is enough. As long as that family's blood is not in my fingers, I wouldn't stop. I wouldn't be satisfied until I saw their heads rolling on the pavements, with their eyes opened and blood scattered on the walls. When I arrived at the pack house, I saw five of my greatest warriors standing in the living room. Several wolf guards of this pack are lying dead on the ground with holes in their heads and chest, blood gushing out nonstop. "Who the hell are you?!" their Alpha asked with a voice filled with fake courage. "No one dared to attack our pack, and you will face the consequences of this!" Chuckling deep inside, I slowly transformed back into my human form. As I stood up naked in front of them, I met the eyes of the Alpha kneeling on the ground with two spears pointed at the back of his head. His Luna and son were kneeling side by side, and I can almost hear them pleading for their lives just by looking at their eyes. Too bad for them — we won't let anyone live for another day. "Well, Alpha Gabriel," I moved a step closer to him. "Seems like we are the first one who dared to challenge you," a smirk formed in my lips and my hand reached out to touch the jaw of his Luna. "Take your hands off!" Gabriel shouted while trying to move closer and escape the chains, but it only made everything worse of him. The spears hit the back of his head, making a small scratch because of his movement. My hands slowly caressed the jaw of his wife, and I can feel her shaking under my touch. I moved up to her cheeks, before giving her a forceful slap. Her head turned to the side, and a red mark from my palms showed up on her skin. She wasn't even able to make a sound because of how painful it is. "What do you want?" Gabriel asked with a firm voice, trying not to shout. "Money? I can give you my treasures. Women? I can offer a lot of virgin women in this pack. Just tell me what you want and spare my family and I." My eyebrow raised as I heard his words. "So the proud alpha knows how to plead, huh? Interesting," I extended my hand to the side, and a cold sword was given to me. I looked at the handle, and traced the sharp edge of it up to the tip. "Unfortunately, I don't need money or women," I answered, pointing the tip towards his face, and bringing it down to his neck. "It's your head that I need." A wave of satisfaction filled my insides as I saw how Gabriel's eyes widened with fear. "You don't know who I am, but I'm sure you know my parents. Do the names Alexandra and Ivan sound familiar to you?" He didn't even need to speak for me to understand that he knows them. After all, this man killed my parents in a brutal way. And I just need to give back the favor — by doing the same thing to him. "So you're their child," Gabriel must feel the realization hit him as his demeanor changed. "Don't be unfair like your father. Unchain me and fight me like a man, coward. Nysera was right about this attack." I chuckled and ignored the unfamiliar name, before pushing the sword nearer to his neck. "Am I really the coward one? Tell me didn't you chained my parents too and killed them while they're helpless?" I asked, playing with the sword. "What comes around goes around, Gabriel. And now, karma hits you." Before he could even say anything, I raised the sword and severed his neck. In one s***h, his head rolled to the floor, with his blood sprinkling out around, hitting his wife and son. The two screamed because of how fast it happened, and maybe, because of how awful he looked while dying. I can even see his eyes twitching as it slowly stopped rolling. "Boring," I threw the sword to the side, as my warriors made me wear my coat and pants once again, covering my naked body. I moved forward and grabbed the spear from one of my warriors, before stabbing the severed head. I turned to my warriors and pointed at the ruined Veinspire. "Once the rain stopped, make a fire and put this on it. Make sure everyone who is still alive can see what happened to their useless alpha," I gave the spear to one of my warriors before turning to the alive wife and son. "And you can do whatever you want to these two. Just make sure they're dead after." I didn't give another glance to them even if they were screaming. Mercy isn’t something that lives in me. I walked outside and saw a few of my warriors standing and waiting, while the others were still on the hunt "My job here is done," I spoke. "Head to the west. I can sense someone trying to escape my grasp."
