"My mother was a thief... or at least, that's what they said before she died." The words echoed in my mind like a curse I couldn't escape. "Who.......lives in a place like this?"she whispered,her voice filled with awe. We were already being led into the house, the men moving ahead of us without a word. The moment we crossed the threshold, I felt it instantly—this place... it was even more. The interior swallowed me whole. The floors gleamed beneath our feet, smooth marble stretching endlessly, reflecting the soft golden glow of massive crystal chandeliers hanging high above. The ceilings towered overhead, so high they made me feel small, almost insignificant. Every step echoed softly, swallowed by the vastness around us. Elegant staircases curved gracefully along the sides, their polished railings gleaming under the light. The walls were adorned with intricate designs and framed artwork that looked far too expensive to even touch. Seated at the far end of the room... like he owned not just the space, but the air within it. He sat in a grand chair, his posture relaxed yet commanding.One arm resting lazily, his head slightly lowered as his attention remained on his phone.Like our presence meant nothing in his world. The air in the room felt heavier the longer he stayed like that...silent...composed. Then.... He stopped. Slowly...deliberately...He lifted his head. And the moment his eyes found mine, Time.....stopped.
