I don’t think I had ever seen such a beautiful forest. I was still shocked that this place existed here. I don’t know why but I was.
“How often have you come up here?”
“Before you arrived, I used to come up here every weekend. Let me show you my favorite spot.”
We walked for a little while, my eyes wandering, unable to take in all the beauty quick enough. The trees seemed huge and they were so lush. The sun breaking through the leaves took my breath away.
“Over here, baby.”
There was a slight break in the trees where a little deck and a pier that was built from the land out into the water. It was perfect. “This is where I write, think, plan…. No one else comes here anymore. I don’t know what was here originally but this is all that remains now.”
