Gabe and I hung outside on the dock long enough for me to get a little sunburn across my nose. I usually didn’t get any but today the sun was beating down hard. I had no idea how much time had passed but when Gabe got a phone call I knew my father had arrived back to his hideaway cabin. They were all interconnected somehow but separate enough that each person could have space away from the other and they couldn’t access their space without keys. “Are you sure you want to do this, baby girl?” We were back at our cabin and we stood on an incline just staring down at it.
