Kaia POV

After what felt like forever, but in reality was the still the same day, Amy and I made it back to my pack. I advised the gate that Sioux would be coming and she was to be let straight in upon her arrival. I directed Amy to the pack house from the passenger seat of the car. We had swapped halfway. I wasn't used to driving and couldn't do the full drive alone. Amy seemed to be very happy with that as she said Sioux never let her drive her cars. She was a good driver and super cautious, but I was glad to be out of the car and back at the pack house.

When I got onto the packlands I mind linked my folks, hoping they weren't sleeping. I needed their help for a full contingent meeting tomorrow with the elders and leaders if each species.

'Kaia baby what happened? I didn't expect you for a couple of days!' my dad links back.

'I'll explain when I get home, were about 10 minutes out. I need you to pull this meeting together for me. Oh and 2 guest rooms please. We have Siouxs Beta and His sister here too. Please no questions. it will all come clear soon.'

'Okay. I'll get on to them right away. We will have to use the dungeon if you want the vampire elders?'

'That's fine dad. If you could, I want it first thing.'

'Leave it to me, your mum is sorting the rooms for the guests'

'Thanks dad.'

I always was a daddy's girl. As we pulled up around midnight, my mum came rushing out the front door. Ryan and Amy got out of the cars, standing behind me politely waiting to be introduced as she pulled me into a bone breaking hug.

'OK mum calm down were all OK. Let me introduce you to Ryan, Sioux's Beta, and Amy, his younger sister.'

'It's a pleasure to meet you both! let me show you to your rooms, you all must be exhausted! I'll have some food sent up to you.'

'Thank you Luna DeCecco. I appreciate that.' Ryan replies respectfully.

'Oh it's just Valentina to you!' My mum beams at him, she loves well brought up wolves like Ryan, especially ones who were classically tall dark and handsome like my dad.

'They will need some clothing too, can you get some of the staff to bring some to them. We left in kind of hurry.'

'Absolutely, come on, let's show you in and get you settled.'

We followed my mum in, who was in her element hosting now. I saw my dad at the kitchen table making calls to pull this meeting together for me, so I stuck on a pot of coffee.

'As soon as Sioux gets here dad, we will fill you in. She shouldn't be too far behind.'

He nodded, not stopping to arrange everything for the morning. These packlands were like a 24 hour big city sometimes. I checked the time, Sioux should be here soon. I know her mind is all over the place but I cannot wait to just crawl into bed and feel our skin touch, the sparks of the mate bond igniting. I couldn't feel her feelings yet as we hadn't mated, but I was feeling very anxious. Something felt off.

I get stuck in helping dad organise, and before I know it, it's 2am and still no sign of Kaia. I hadn't thought to take her phone number to reach her, so I ran up to the room Ryan was in. I knocked on his door and waited patiently. He opened the door a crack before he saw it was me and let me in.

'Is everything OK Alpha?' He asked.

'Sioux isn't here yet and I'm starting to get worried. Can you call her? I don't think she can mind link.'

'Sure! Let me grab my phone. Take a seat, I am sure she is fine and just needed a break from driving.' Ryan replied as he grabbed his phone from the nightstand.

He pulled up her number and dialled. Straight to voicemail. I hope she hadn't gotten lost or something happened to her. Ryan furrowed his brow.

'Alpha no joy, her phone must be flat. Can you check in with the gate? Maybe she got turned around within the lands. She has only been the once.'

'That was my next step' I smiled at him before mindlinking the gate.

'Fenrir? Has the Luna come through the gate yet?'

'Yes Alpha, she came through about half an hour ago. She said she knew the way so we didn't send an escort.'

'Thanks Fenrir.' I said, shutting off the mind link.

'The gate confirmed she came through about half an hour ago, she must be lost. Do any of her cars have trackers?' I asked Ryan.

'All of them, but that is definitely Amy's strength. She can track anything, with her nose and technology. She was the better than our seasons trackers at Goddesses Tears. She's 17 so wasn't allowed to join the team yet but that didn't stop her.' He chuckled.

'Let's go get her up. I'm getting worried. With the Rogues the other day, people are extra cautious of newcomers. I don't want her to have any issues.'

We wandered down the hall to Amy's room and knocked. Apparently Amy was a heavy sleeper as there was no answer, after about 15 minutes of banging we finally got her up. Looking dishevelled with her blonde hair like a birds nest on her head, Amy drags herself downstairs, whilst Ryan ran to the truck to get Siouxs laptop, where Amy could track her location. It took about half an hour for Amy to get into the laptop, as she had to do some crazy hacker stuff to bypass the lock on it. I had no idea what she was doing but it looked impressive. Ryan and I waited, me not so patiently. It was gone 3am by the time we got in and pulled up the trackers. You could see the location of all of her cars, and one stood out. It was right in the heart of the vampire area of town, and looked to be moving away from a well known bar. We watched as it drive further away from the packhouse.

'What is she doing? Come on, we need to go fetch her. She is 100 per cent lost now.' I stated to the siblings. Amy grabbed the laptop and followed us out into an SUV. Ryan hopped into the drivers seat, with me into the passenger and Amy in the back. We followed Amy's directions to the Ferrari, and finally caught up when it stopped outside the main den of vampires. It was now the early hours of the morning, and dawn would be here in about 45 minutes. I knew the vamps would want to sleep, so we needed to be quick. they weren't pleasant when woken during the day. Not that they would hurt me, but still. I really didn't want to piss anyone off.

I hopped out and walked into the den. Silence immediately fell when Yannis, the coven master stepped forward.

'Alpha Kaia, what a pleasant surprise. What can I do to help you? I thought we weren't meeting until 7am?'

'Yannis the Ferrari outside belongs to my Luna, I believe she is a little lost, can you return her to me please.'

I watched as Yannis face fell, what little colour there was in his pale skin drained further.

'Your L-L-Luna? f**k. We had her arrested for trespassing in the club. She just got picked up by officers. Pierre!! bring the keys to that car now!!' He hissed at a young and cocky vampire in the corner.

'You had my Luna arrested?' I growled out, barely able to contain the rage inside me.

'It was an honest mistake Alpha, when she said to contact you I thought she was bluffing and was a rogue trying to bring you harm! Please Alpha. let's go to the station and clear this up.' He simpers back at me.

'Car. Now Yannis.' Not an ideal intro into my pack. Time to go rescue my Luna.
