Rejection

Tye started hanging out with the kids in the pack a whole lot more after turning. And his father had been right about them all becoming a lot closer. Even Trent had been nicer to him since they had been going on family runs together and joining in a lot more pack activities as well. Tye and his family had even participated in a weekend long camping excursion with others from the pack, and at night of course many of them shifted and went for a run. Having that many members shift and go out together was fun and exhilarating. Tye had never experienced anything like it before. He could only imagine that looking back it would be one of his most memorable experiences and that it would always be associated with those strong emotions that he had at that time. The year continued like that. He had a lot of great experiences and made many friends. Being a wolf was like nothing else. He couldn’t explain it and wouldn’t even no where to begin if he tried to put it into words. He couldn’t imagine how things could get any better.                                 And then one day it happened. He was at a pack meeting and got this weird feeling in the pit of his stomach and could smell something that called to him, and across the room he saw her. She was beautiful, she had long dark hair and beautiful green eyes, sensuous lips and a body that makes you want to commit multiple sins. She looked up at him and as their eyes met it was like nothing he had ever felt before. And by the look on her face she felt it too. Then the moment was interrupted by someone. It was a guy, one of Trent’s friends. Tye recognized him right away. What the hell was going on? His mate had turned her attention to Trent’s friend, Garret. Tye couldn’t understand what was happening, he had thought that she had recognized him as her mate as well. Maybe there was a miss understanding. But then Garret kissed her…he kissed his mate!! And she was walking off with him. Tye felt his heart drop into his stomach and crumple into a million little pieces as the thought of her walking away from him. And then anger hit him. Without thinking he strode over to them and stepped in front of them. Garret just looked at him like he was stupid, and his mate just stared. After a few seconds passed Garret got more irritated and asked him “what the hell do you want?”. Tye’s mouth was dry and he wasn’t sure what to say so the first thing that popped into his head came out. “She’s my mate!”. “what??” Garrett said and started laughing, “There’s no way in hell that she’s your mate! Now step aside before I make you step aside!”. His mate just looked down at her feet and bit her lip. But Tye didn’t move. He didn’t budge and inch. Then Garret punched him in the face and kicked him in the stomach and walked away, dragging his mate behind him. Before Tye could get to his feet to protest any further they were in Garret’s truck and speeding down the road. Panic hit Tye, what if he never saw her again. Now that he had found her, he didn’t think that he could live without her.  A few people rushed over to Tye. They had all recognized her as his mate, not just Tye. So, that could only mean that Garret also recognized it and didn’t care. And his mate just allowed him to interfere and didn’t say a word.                 Later on, Tye found out that her name is Ansley Tate. His mates’ name is Ansley.   He didn’t know where she lived but had been told that she had been dating Garret for about 5 months. That made Tye crazy, to think that Garret was with his mate, and probably putting his filthy hands all over her. The thought made Tye see red, and that was completely different than his usual disposition, but it made him immensely crazy to think of it. What the hell was he going to do? Tye decided that he would keep an eye out for her, and he knew were Garret lived and had went there a few times, but Garret never seemed to be home. He hoped that didn’t mean that he was with Ansley. Tye wondered what where she was and what she was doing and did she feel the nagging pain in the pit of her stomach that he felt since seeing her and having her walk away from him. It was the most excruciatingly painful thing he had ever felt. Why had she rejected him? Was there something wrong with him? Was she disappointed or embarrassed to have him as her mate? It wasn’t supposed to be like this! It just wasn’t. Finding your mate was supposed to be life changing, in a good way, not a bad way. If she didn’t come back to him, he didn’t know what he would do. He could only imagine the miserable existence that would be, and he didn’t want any part of it, especially since he knew she was out there.
