Behind the mask

I didn't know Mia as someone who pretended I expected her to affirm that she was the one that attacked Ella. Mia wanted to complicate matters. If it was not her, then it was who? Mia, Emma, and I had gone out to visit Emma's friend. When we arrived, Mia refused to go inside the house, and she insisted on waiting outside. That day, I became certain that Mia's therapy wasn't managing her disorder. I asked her why she wanted to stay outside and she told me that she would tell me when we returned to my house but I forgot to ask her later on. Introverts reasoned differently. I could only give an excuse to leave, but she stayed outside throughout our stay there. When we were about to leave, Emma's friend saw her, and just then, Emma introduced Mia. Emma's friend kindly greeted Mia, who didn't reply. I told Emma that we should be on our way because I had work to do. We were about to leave when Emma's friend told us never to bring Mia to her house again. She called her "a psychopath." Mia immediately pulled her hair, and she dragged it so hard that her scalp was bruised. Mia had done other vicious things, so I was convinced it was her. Mia, admit it, don't play games. Mia, I'm talking about attempted murder. Do you think it's a joke." I added beratingly. "Do you want to arrest me?" I stared at her in disgust. "If not, leave, please. Do you think I'm capable of murder? Leave my house." She said, turning to her bed. "Alright then, I came as a friend, but I hope that Ella will be fine because the next conversation won't end amicably." I hate to feel the way I felt, I felt belittled. Mia had always been submissive to me, but that day, she lied to me and told me to leave her house. I didn't know why I met her, I thought. I want to have normal friends. I was the only friend who understood her. Good luck finding another friend. Honestly, I wasn't only angry with her because of what she did to Ella. I was also angry because she was no longer submissive. When I got to my house, I saw my mom cleaning the blood stains. "Are you just coming back? Where is Emma? How is Ella doing? I asked cautiously. "Where did you go to?" She said. I didn't want anyone to know that it was Mia that attacked Ella. "I accompanied Emma to her house.I forgot because I was worried about Ella." I added with hesitation. I had to be sure that it was Mia that attacked Ella. "Ella suffered a minor injury. She will be fine. I called you on the phone so that you could give me Ella's family's contact number... I interrupted my her. "Mom, I don't have Ella's family's contact. I don't even know where she lives." "We have to go and stay with her till she regains consciousness." She said. "Okay, mom, I want to see her." I said while taking the mop inside. "Why was Ella attacked in front of my house? Be honest, or I will let your father know what happened when he returns from his travel and you will go and stay with your grandmother." She said sternly. "I don't know why she was attacked in front of the house. I called her so that we could study together. She is my friend!" I said defensively. "Be careful. Stay away from trouble. Mia can be your only friend. She's a good girl." Everyone would believe that I attacked Ella, not Mia. My mom didn't know Mia. She didn't know the girl behind the mask. Everyone only knew the "cool" Mia. If they knew the real Mia, they would tell me to stay away from her. Mia deserved to be exposed. My mom and I went to visit Ella at the hospital.
