I didn't know if the piece of broken glass was used to attack Ella, I had to ask her.
I didn't wait for Ella before leaving for school the next day. I had to speak with Mia. I had no idea that Mia and Zoe were friends. When I went to Mia's class, I saw her with Zoe. Mia made me believe that I was the only friend she had. She was truly two_faced.
"Mia, can I speak with you privately?" If she wastes my time, I will say what I had to say in front of Zoe, I told myself. She followed me outside consecutively.
"Mia, can you please tell me why you planned to attack Ella?" I wanted to know if she would say anything about the piece of broken glass.
"Olivia, I'm tired of seeing you. You are no longer my friend. It was good while it lasted." She was about to enter inside, but I dragged her back, threatening to involve a third party if she didn't tell me the truth.
"Olivia, I actually don't care about that. I'm only hurt that you don't believe me. Have I ever lied to you? We have always had each other, but now you think I'm an attacker." She said sentimentally.
"I'm not dumb, I know you, Mia. I know you are vicious. Tell me the truth, then I might save you from the police officers because they are looking for the person who attacked Ella." I didn't want to listen to a two_faced pitiful story.
"I don't know what you are talking about." One thing I was sure of was that I wouldn't find out the truth that way. I had to find another way.
"My bad, I apologise, it's true it can't be you. Someone else is behind it, someone we might not even know, maybe a teacher or an old friend of hers. I'm truly sorry. Please forgive me." I didn't know Mia anymore. I had no idea what to do next.
"It's okay, I can't hate you. I can't even be angry with you." Mia was an enigma. "Is Zoe your friend now?" I asked, suppressing my contempt.
"We are good friends, I guess therapy is working." She replied with a gentle smile.
"That's good news. Do you have a boyfriend now?" I asked playfully.
"I don't, as my senior I will have when you do." She teased.
"Fair enough. I have to go to my class, see you later." Zoe was definitely fake. She wanted to be Mia's friend for what reason.
I didn't speak to Zoe in class. I was with my other friend, Jessie. I told her what happened to Ella. Subsequently, Zoe came to me. "What's up, pal?" Zoe is passive-aggressive and Non confrontational. I didn't know why she assumed that everyone was fine and everything should be fine, and she just pretended like it was fine.
"Cool, how about you?" I avoided eye contact with her.
"Just chilling. What's up, Jessie? Remember the gist..." Jessie also didn't like her. She called her rude and arrogant. I became Jessie's friend through Zoe. They were 'good friends' who gossiped behind each other's backs.
"I will give you the gist later." Jessie replied.
"Alright, see ya." She said. "I saw her the day before today heading to a man's house." Jessie said as soon as Zoe left.
"Can you remember where you saw her?" I didn't think of Zoe. She was toxic and bitter, and she became Mia's friend unexpectedly. She could possibly be the person who attacked Ella.
"I know where she lives. That's how I knew that she wasn't going to her house." Jessie wasn't helping. She didn't even say what I wanted to know. I had to ask her directly.
"Okay, I didn't know she has a boyfriend." I figured out that through Jessie, I might be able to know if Zoe was the one who planned Ella's attack.
"Of course she does. She isn't even a loyal girlfriend. Her boyfriend is unlucky to have her." She sounded so salty.
"Wow, Jessie, you are Zoe's friend, right? I enquired.
"Yes, don't you know?" She didn't know I only wanted her help. "I know, I need your help with something. I want you to find out where Zoe went to. I don't think she went to a man's house. Please help me, I will tell you why, but you have to find out where she truly was. " I held her hands to plead with her.
"Fine, I will try, and you must tell me why you want me to find out where Zoe went to if not her boyfriend's house." Jessie was the best person to help me out. She was Zoe's rebel.
"Okay, meet me after school today at the back of the school." I said.
