Amanda POV
I was soon out of the very gigantic house. I started to move, taking one direction. I actually did not know where I was going, but I, however, kept walking.
I was so desperate to get my baby girl. At this point, I did not care if any thing happened to me. What I wanted now was to get my baby girl, and the rest could come later.
I continued to move, but when I got to the main road, I did not know which was the right one for me to take.
The roads all looked similar, and at the same time, there were no cars in the whole neighborhood. This was a very rich area, so it was very hard to find people loitering around.
I did not want to lose hope. I had to get Sam. The moment I got that girl in my arms, I would not want anything else in my life.
The rest would be easier. She is the most important person in my life, the one who can make me do anything, and the only person who can make me risk anything.
I chose one of the routes, though I was not aware of where it was actually leading me. I did not care. All that mattered was that I was moving toward finding my Sam. I did not know where she might be, but I had one place in mind that I thought could be where I would find her.
I continued moving until I finally came to the main road. But it had four cross streets, and I was still unsure which one I was supposed to take. Finally, however, I decided to take one of the roads, which had no one on it apart from the occasional passing car.
After about an hour of difficult walking, I finally arrived at a place I could at least recognize: the courthouse. I recalled leaving my husband with that woman right inside as I had been dragged out, presumably to be taken to a mental hospital.
I stood at a distance, contemplating whether to go up to the courthouse or take the other road. I had a feeling that the two were still inside, scheming whatever they were up to since it had been only a short while since I left with the gentleman.
But if I wanted to find out what had happened to my daughter or even to find out where she might be at this time. I had to face anything without fear. Sam is my heart, and without her, I doubted I could even live.
Just before I took the first step, the two exited the court building and came moving drastically toward me. They were talking and smiling at the same time, seeming to be in the best of their lives.
Finally, they spotted me, and immediately Justin took very wide steps until he was standing in front of me, appearing furious. At that moment, I wondered what I had done to make him so angry.
“What do you want? I thought they had even taken you away so you could rot somewhere,” he said, disgustedly.
I could not believe it was actually him speaking to me in such a manner. He was getting worse with every passing minute.
I still could not believe that he had completely changed like this. It was not him at all. I could not tell if this was the old him acting all along, or if he had finally revealed his true nature.
