(Trauma Warning: Mention of making female wolves submit in order to have way with them.)
Axel had unpacked her items for easier access. It was nearing ten at night and that meant she would relieve Violet for patrol. So far there was nothing to note on the first night. This made sense, because the first night was everyone making it to the individual cabins. They were small and held only the necessities. They original were used for medical wards during one of the previous creature wars, but mainly were used now for events like this.
She finished showering and dressed in her stealth clothing. It was a look that tomb raider would be envious of. Black hiking shorts, a black tank and parachute cord belt. Her boots were just above her ankles and she dawned utility gloves. She knew she would be sticking to the trees or trails tonight. She was hoping for some sort of distraction.
She got one about thirty minutes into her shift. A trio of male wolves were surrounding a female wolf. She stayed just out of sight in the trees. This way she could hear them perfectly. Axel made sure to cover her Alpha scent.
“No Quinn, we can’t be mates. I don’t like men. I’ll use this female Omega to prove it.”
The one she assumed was Quinn looked up. “Come on Victor, let’s just talk about this. We have been friends for years.”
“Exactly friends not f**k buddies. I need to prove to the stupid moon goddess that she was wrong!”
She had already heard enough to lock Victor behind bars. Axel was curious of the female however. She had a familiar scent to her. She was too far to know whose scent it was though. The third male was leaning against a tree staring at the Omega.
“Please, just let me pass. I smelled my mate out here. What if he comes here and sees this?”
The last unnamed male laughed. “Oh you b***h little Omega. I’m the Gamma of your pack, you should be overjoyed that We are planning on mating you.”
The Omega held back a sob. In that moment, Axel’s blood boiled. This was a Gamma acting this disgraceful? She could tell he was one, but from what pack. It had to be Tristan’s pack. Axel jumped from the tree and landed between the female and the three males.
“What the f**k!?! Where the hell did you come from?”
She smirked as her red eyes shown in the night. “Don’t disrespect an Alpha you ungrateful pup.”
He growled at her. “I only see a weak woman not an Alpha.”
“Ummm, Kyle…I think that’s Alpha Axel. Look at her red eyes.”
He laughed loudly. “There is no way Quinn. Alpha Axel is a war hero and the second highest Alpha. Not some bitch.”
You would think this to make Axel angry, but instead she smiled and put her hands behind her head. It was a mocking stance and showed that she not only wouldn’t submit to the weak males in front of her, but also saw them as trash. This took the intended effect as Kyle stomped toward her.
“Let me add some to what you know about Alpha Axel. Axel or Axelia is the cousin of King Alpha Maverick. She is everything you’ve heard of and more. She also insisted her cousin not ask her to attend this gathering, but he insisted. Now she’s here in the woods with a bunch of weak male wolves. And honestly I could not be happier to stretch my legs. You see I, Alpha Axelia of the Red Blood Moon Pack, just love to put mutts in their place.”
Kyle and Victor both stood straight. “Who you calling mutt?!”
“My dear, what is your name?”
The Omega cowered, “Liah, Alpha.”
She smiled she knew whose mate she was finally, “Liah, follow this path back to the cabins. Cry out for Lucas as loud as you can. He is my Gamma. Tell him, who sent you and what happened. Let’s hope he doesn’t try to kill these three after I throw them in prison.”
She started to run, but Quinn tried to block her, per his mates request. Axel smiled as she raced toward him with inhuman speed and kicked him into a tree. Victor began shifting. This was probably due to his mate being injured. Axelia jumped out of the way of his wolf and he smashed into a tree knocking two of the three out in less than a minute. Kyle the Gamma gave a smirk to her. It was disgusting.
“After I win this, I’ll take you instead of the Omega.”
Threatening an Alpha…he just signed his death warrant. He charged Axel and she stuck her foot up at the last second, knocking the wind from his lungs. She grabbed him by his neck and pushed him against a tree. He started to weep as her eyes pierced his. She pulled him toward her.
“You will never be a free wolf again.”
With that whisper she pushed his head into the tree trunk and fell limp in her hand. She dragged all three men to Jeremy’s security office and explained the situation. He had let her know that Lucas was with his mate.
“Thank you, Jeremy! Still one of the strongest wolves I know!”
He smirked, “you flatter me Alpha. You better get back to your cabin. I have one of the other security details now patrolling. I think you deserve a good nights rest.”
She nodded, “still looking out for me, I miss you friend.”
He smiled, “come visit at the council again sometime.”
She nodded and headed back down the path. She was probably a good five minute walk from her cabin, when she heard the most glorious howl. She knew instantly it was her mate and began to panic. Without a plan, she sprinted for her cabin. She could hear his paws following behind her. She had the advantage of speed though even in human form. She shut and locked the door and pressed her back against it.
She heard a low growl, “I won’t hurt you.”
“Well of course you won’t. I’m an Alpha.” She slapped her hand over her mouth.
He purred, “an Alpha. Why won’t you let me see you, Alpha?”
She was being turned on from the way her title rolled off his tongue. “I can’t be distracted yet.”
He chuckled and she almost opened the door. “My love, are you also a council member?”
“You are part of the group here?” She already knew the answer.
Her mate to match her perfectly would need to be council or Alpha. She heard him sniff the air. She made sure to radiate no dominance. She didn’t need her mate to break the door down.
He gave a frustrated growl. “I will respect your mission, my love. You have two days. Don’t make this hard on me.”
