Detective Jenna

The air was misty and cool, the moonlight casting an eerie glow over the abandoned factory. Jenna shivered as she stepped out of her car, her eyes scanning the dark surroundings. She had been assigned to this case, a case that had been haunting the city for weeks now. As a detective, Jenna had seen her fair share of gruesome murders and heart-wrenching crimes, but there was something about this one that sent a chill down her spine. The victims, all women in their early twenties, had been found with strange markings carved into their bodies, and each death seemed to be more brutal than the last. Jenna's partner, Detective John Donovan, had been working on this case for weeks before she was assigned to it. He had been following the trail of a possible suspect, a man who went by the name of Thomas Reed. But so far, all leads had led to dead ends. Jenna walked towards the entrance of the factory, her flashlight in hand. She carefully stepped over debris and broken glass, her eyes examining every nook and cranny. John followed close behind her, his gun at the ready. As they reached the main hall, they were greeted by an ominous sight. In the middle of the room stood a man, his back facing them. He was tall, with a slim build, and his long hair fell over his face, hiding his features. In his hand, he held a knife, its blade glinting in the moonlight. Jenna could feel her heart racing as she slowly approached the man, her gun pointed straight at him. 'Thomas Reed, I presume?' she said, trying to keep her voice steady. The man turned around, and Jenna was taken aback by his piercing blue eyes. He looked at her and then at John, a small smirk forming on his lips. 'Finally, the famous Detective Jenna joins the party. You're quite the mystery, aren't you, my dear?' he said, his voice smooth and chilling. 'How do you know my name?' Jenna asked, her gun still aimed at him. 'Oh, I know a lot of things about you, Detective. But you see, I've been waiting for you,' he said, his smirk widening. Jenna's mind was racing. How did he know her? And more importantly, what did he want with her? Before she could ask any more questions, Thomas lunged at her, his knife ready to strike. Jenna quickly dodged his attack, and John fired his gun at Thomas, hitting him in the leg. But to their surprise, Thomas didn't even flinch. He just grinned and continued his assault.
