CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE Leah had got the funeral announcement into the paper just in time the previous week, as it was being printed later that day. She had also uploaded the funeral details to a Birmingham death notices website, in case there were any old friends of Nat’s family still living there. She had no idea who might turn up. She had contacted her landlord, Mr Edwards, though she doubted if his elderly father would be well enough to come all the way down from Scotland. She felt sure Josh would have wanted to pay his respects if he had still been in the village and she had texted him the details, but, as usual, there had been no response.
