Beginnings of New

Born on a cold winter's night in December, a young mother looks down at her newborn child and smiles at her. "Elise Everstone Knight, welcome to your new world and life. I dream for you to be strong, healthy, and caring person to all who come into your life. I love you my daughter." Looking at her beautiful daughter, she closed her eyes and fell asleep as little Elise followed suit. 

Five years have passed since my birth, and I was a spunky, sweet child running through the house, hiding from my mommy. "Elise Everstone Knight, come out this minute, we have to get ready." Knowing that tone in mommy's voice, I quickly ran out of the bedroom closet and hug her tightly.  She and daddy were waiting in the kitchen smiling and giggling in my direction. I wasn't sure why they were laughing, but I looked down at my outfit, my shirt was on backwards. Quickly fixing my shirt, we left hand in hand heading to our lil car heading to my best friend's house.

"Elise. ELISE. You came,  you came." A little red-headed boy came running up to me, and bear hugged me. "H.hi Alex, how are you?" Alex was my best best friend, he and I did everything together. He was the son of our alpha and Luna. I was the daughter of the alpha's beta. We were always together, we were inseparable, reason being because we liked each other and thought that we'd be mates one day. He was turning 8 the next day so we would always go the day before to their house to spend the day with him and his family.

"Alex, I cant beweive that you'll be 8 tomorrow. You're getting swoo big."  Alex just smiled at me and handed me a present, but before I could say anything, he told me to open it. Inside was a beautiful little butterfly hairclip, when I looked at him to say thank you and ask him why, he was jumping up and down trying to get my parent's attention. Looking down, they saw little Alex being silly, cuddled him closely to them. They were so sweet, and caring.

Alex's parents were always busy, but they always made time for him and me. They really loved him, our pact, and especially me. "Naphy, Lwuna, hi hi, pick me up pwease." "Sweet sweet Elise, how is my favorite little girl?" That was our beautiful Luna, Luna Allie and Alpha Mit. Alpha Mit picked me up and gave me a silly wet kiss, laughing at my making faces at him. "Good evening Alpha and Luna" my mom and dad came up to them saying that at the same time. 

"Max, and Emil, how many times do we have to tell you, it's Allie and Mit. Stop with all the alpha business... lol" Alpha Mit was a kind and caring pack leader, but my dad was so much more. He and my mom were my world and I was so blessed to have them in my life. My parents and Alex's parents went off to talk while Alex and I played chase, granted didn't expect what came next.

Just yards from the palace house, Alex and I were playing chase when I stepped on something.  My flesh started burning and my body became weak. I was screaming and hollering for my parent's and for Alex. Alex was too far and and in the blink of an eye, a dark reddish wolf came snarling up to me. He smelled like a rogue, and I knew that this wasn't good. My body started failing me and I could hear screams in the distance. In a flash, my parents and the alpha and Luna were by my side. Five more rogues came out from the woods, it was a trap laid out for Alex, but I was the one caught. My eyes started turning black and began to fade, I realized that the trap had silver lining in it. Not good for a wolf especially a baby.

My mommy screamed and I could hearing the fighting going but I couldn't stay awake. Passing out, I left my life in the hands of my family. Unfortunately, when I woke up, my whole life changed and my mom and I were never quite the same again. They say when mates die, or your other half dies, a part of you, well, half of you dies as well. I didn't realize that was what I would soon wake up too.
