Lyra bakery, found a quiet street in texas was the haven of pasteries and sweets. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, sweet pasteries and roses filled the air as Anita stepped into the bakery Holiday time are always the busiest but you see valentine days are the worst, even though they are the worst, an air of romance cast over the bakery. Everyone wants heart shaped pasteries and cake, dreamy confendentries, chocolate dipped strawberry.And since tomorrow is valentine I had a line out the door that went down half a block. "Here you go Mrs wondelock"i handed the elderly woman she got her husband every year since I started the bakery. "Thank you Anita, I love you" she pecked me on the cheek. I waved goodbye to my favourite customer and started attending to others while juggling frosting and phone orders. It went on like that until it was six in the evening. I went up to lock the door when the jingle of the bell above the bakery door chimed and I heard a small voice "Hi" and my eyes met those of a little boy . He couldn't reach the top of the counter and I start to wonder how long he must have stayed there. "Hey cutie, how may I help you??" "I'm not cute, I'm handsome" he said with his face scrunched up in digust. "Okay, how may I help you my handsome man?" I said amazed at his cuteness. "I'm lost"he said with his lip wobbling before bursting into tears. I wiped his tears away and crouched down to his eye level "What's your name?" I asked as I picked him up and placed him on the counter. "Alex". "Well Alex, do you have any clue of how you got here, or who you were with?" " I was with my nanny" " Do you know where she is now" "No" "Well Alex, would you like a cupcake?" He nodded vigorously with all tears gone. Wow, cupcake indeed fixes everything. I handed him part of the cupcakes I just finished frosting." Can you tell me your parents name Alex?"I inquired hoping to find a clue " Maybe I could find their phone number online or something?". "My daddy name is Xander" "Xander what? Sweetheart" " Xander Kingston" he said and my heart skipped a beat. Xander Kingston, the CEO of Kingston Enterprises was known all over the United States even in a quiet area like mine, he was know as the richest man in the States and part of the Top 5 in the world. Discovering the urgency of this situation I pulled out my phone and searched for Xander enterprises. I didn't know any other way to reach him and reassure him that his son is safe. "Good afternoon, This is Kingston Enterprises, how may I help you?" Came the gentle voice of the receptionist. "Umm.....hii" I started " I know this may sound very weird but your CEO'S son is currently in my bakery". "Oh my God, okay i will transfer you to Mr Kingston right now" The receptionist sounded very terrified and worried and that even increased my worry. With each seconds that passed I grew more and more nervous. This is one of the richest and most powerful man in the world and I'm with his son 'oh God help me'. " Hello" came a deep and cold voice. " Hi I'm Anita Knight and I own lyra Bakery and your son walked in here by himself not too long ago by himself. I just wanted to help so I asked what is parents name were and he mentioned you, that was what led to me calling you" I nervously rambled on before he had the chance to judge me. " Is he okay?" He asked with worry deep in his voice " ummm yes he is fine now, he cried a little but I gave him cupcake and he stopped crying. I hope that is fine with you." Yes, it's really no problem, I will be there soon , Lyra Bakery right". " Yes" " Okay, thank you, I will be their very soon". Mr Kingston hung up the call and turned my attention back to alex who had finished eating his cupcake. " Your daddy is on his way" I told him " Okay Anita, thank you" he said while shining his teeth I couldn't help but laugh when I saw his hand littered with frosting from the cupcake" why don't we clean you up before daddy gets here" I said while lifting him up the counter . Just as i finished drying up his hand , the bell at the front of the shop rang indicating that someone has entered. Alex ran out and I immediately threw the twe down and rushed towards his direction. "Daddy" he shouted "My boy" Mr Kingston replied smiling. It was an awwn moment for me because I didn't expect the most feared billonaire to be smiling but anything for his son right?.. Looking at him the magazines did no justice to his looks , his skin looks so smooth and the slickness of his black hair was so good. He looked so tall that it made me feel so small. "You must be Miss Knight?"He snapped me out of my daydreaming. " Yes that would be me" " Thank you so much for taking care of my boy. He was supposed to be with his nanny but I dont really know what happened" he said while rubbing the top of his son's head. "No problem, he is a sweet boy"i assured him. " Well, thank you so much". " I nodded and shook his outstretched hand feeling the spark go through my hand. And when he pulled back I suddenly felt empty. "Where is Miss Marie?" Mr knigston asked and my attention turned back to him and Alex who shrugged his shoulder " I don't know, she was with me one moment and the next she was not". " Well I will make sure she pays for what she did and from this moment she is no longer your nanny, I will make sure to find a new one by tomorrow"Mr Kingston told him. " I could watch him if needs be, I take holidays off even valentine day" I offered. It felt like the right thing to do but I feel Mr Kingston will probably not want a stranger to watch his son but I really like Alex. After Mr Kingston pondered on it for some minutes, hee turned back to me " if you're sure it's OK with you". " No I don't, just me, my couch, Netflix and a pint of ice cream" "Okay no problem, if you're sure it's okay with you". " it's not a problem, I'm very sure" Mr Kingston and I exchanged our numbers before we went on our separate ways.
